Winnie

I woke up on brighter side this morning, but not because I had ruined Jack's nasty plans with Judith, or because I had fired Judith right in the dead of the night, or even because I spent my night alone with an angry Jack in the park. Well I don't really know the reason behind this happy bubble in my chest this morning.

It wasn't called for, actually.
After having my father cancel our date as he called it, at the last minute. Or even after I had found out that my personal assistant was about to get a dig on my loyal secretary. Like that guy has a lot of guts and I will make sure to put an end to it.

Happy or not, I still had things to do today. More things to handle than the previous days, cause my crazy sister was in town, and as always she has to come visit.

I walked into my work premises and thankfully everyone were on their A game, at least pretended to be on their game. I wasn't in the mood to shout at anyone this morning. A bigger headache was coming and I need all the strength I can get for her arrival.

I stepped out of the elevator and my eyes caught the new secretary. I made them employ a man this time, a dog will remain a dog. And my PA was the biggest of all dogs. I wouldn't have him disrespect me in that manner again.

The young man sighted me and I stood on my heels. He put on a huge smile and ran towards me immediately.

"Good morning ma" he said, while trying to catch his breath. It was just a few steps and he was breathing like that. This one needs some gingering up.

I waved him a hand in response to his elated greeting, that's the much I could give and walked into my office, leaving him behind.

"He's not in yet" typical Jack to come late to work. I thought he was changing and trying to play the cool and collected guy role. Seems he slipped up again. I eyed his office and walked into mine.

Setting my handbag on my table and picking up the files I had abandoned yesterday cause of dad. I looked them over and time flew by.

He knocked, and I looked up and met him there. I didn't permit him to enter my office. This guy is pressing serious buttons and I can't wait to unleash my fury on him. I wonder why I haven't done that yet. I'm waiting for the right time. I convinced my self.

"You fired her?" he said through his teeth, his Jaws working and his eyes pulling out of his head. Was he angry?

I let out a loud laugh and that only made him more furious cause he took more steps towards me. That only made me laugh out the more. I knew this day would be good.

"Stop right there Mr man" I hushed his hurried steps towards me. What was he trying to do?.

"Why did you fire her?" he asked with a calmed voice.

"seems you gave gotten ahead of yourself, Jack" I hated the feel of his name in my mouth. I have to find something else to call him.

"She is my employee, since you have forgotten. And I can get rid of anyone when I want to. Especially my disloyal staff" I said getting bored of the explanation already. I wonder why I was replying the idiot.

"but it's mine fault. She doesn't deserve this. And what makes her disloyal, that she found me irresistible?" he said and slumped into my visitor's seat right the front of me. The nerve!

"Get up of that seat right now, Mr. And stop thinking highly of yourself. It will surely get you in trouble" I hissed and tried  concentrating on the file in my hands. His scent had taken over the whole room and I hate the fact that I was getting used to it. He has to stop using what ever perfume he's using. I have to put that as my next rule.

"But on serious note, please can you hire her back" he got up from the seat, leaning in towards me making his scent clung up my lungs. I put up a straight face to show him that having him this close doesn't have any effect on me.

"so that could continue the fuck from where you left off?" I laughed out again and dragged my eyes away from his exposed chest that he's poorly buttoned up shirt was giving away. He needs to get out of here.

"I promise I won't. It's really hard to find a job now, and being fired from your company will make it even worse for her. Please" he said, standing up straight and putting his hands into his pockets. My eyes were on his every move and I hated it. They finally made their way up to his eyes and fixed themselves there.

"Why are you so concerned, Jack" those words where meant to come out cold or harsh but they were laced with a strange emotion. Why was I worried that he is worried. He was about to get this girl on his bed, he should be worried.

"I don't know, ma'am. I just feel it's unfair. Since I'm the guilty one here. Am just too good" he said with a stupid smile on his face. It wasn't there the whole night that I was with him. He didn't even look at me or say a word to me. That was victory enough to me. But now the smile was back and somewhere inside me, I was glad.

"fine, I will do something about it" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Really?" he sounded genuinely happy.

"yes, now get out. And get my coffee. Your late" I said, suppressing the smile that was coming up on my face. I looked away from him and he was soon out of my door.

It was noon already and I was hungry as hell. I looked at my golden wall clock, which was practically the only decorative thing in that room aside from the golden fan. It was 12:30pm already and my sister was not yet here.

We were meant to have lunch together, catch up for lost times. She has been away studying in Canada and she was here finally with us. We would still see at home though, but her crazy self insisted we have lunch together. Seems I will be going without her.

I picked up my bag and headed out with a stern face. I hated been stood up, and worse, I hated been kept waiting. I opened the door of my inner chamber and stilled at the loud laughter that was coming from Jack's desk.

"Oh my!" my sister's voice echoed everywhere, filling the cold room with warmth. She ran towards me, strangling me with a very tight hug. My stern face hasn't dissolved  and that took her by surprise.

I was mad out of my mind right now and I took it out as a glare directly on Jack who was smiling stupidly at me right now. If only he knew that a hungry woman is an angry woman.

He has been chatting here with my sister all along while I die of hunger in my office, waiting for her.

"so you decided to keep her here you thwart" I yelled and my sister shivered. She looked from me and then at jack, confusion shaping her face.

"I didn't ma'am" he replied in a bored voice and all I wanted to do was kill him right there and then.

"You didn't, but she was right here on your desk, and you didn't keep her here?" I yelled the more, fuelling my anger. "didn't I tell you I was expecting her, why didn't you tell her to come meet  me in the office" I finished in one breadth.

"Excuse me ma'am, but I did tell her. Your sister is grown enough to choose between coming meet you or staying here and having a good conversation with me" he said. I saw him roll his eyes. If only eyes could kill, he would be dead by now, cause my eyes were as angry as a loaded gun.

"you dare talk to me in that manner!" my heart was  beating quite fast now, finding it hard to pump blood for my boiling body.

"Sis, I'm sorry. It's not his fault." I felt my sister's hands on mine, trying to cool me down. It was good of her to do so cause I was just a step away from jumping on this retarded fool and pulling all his teeth out.

"I was waiting for you Gen" I said, now facing my sister. Her skin was so clear in contract to my dark one. She was just the exact opposite of me. With her chubby cheeks and her unending smiles. She looked up to me and smiled the more. I just hugged her. Letting her warmth fill up my cold self.

We had been close since we were born, she was like a little daughter to me. I took care of her, even till this day. Even while she was away, no week goes by without us hearing from each other. Somehow her happy self brought silent smiles to my face.

"You look beautiful" I said, trying to hide the happy emotions bubbling inside of me. We were in front of my employee, I wouldn't let them see this part of me.

"Thank You sis." she squealed and did a spin for me. She was loaded just in the right places, unlike my slim stiff self.

"Gen, You do look pretty" Jack's voice hit that angry part of me again. If only I could make him vanish.

"Her name is Genesis you swine. Not Gen. And don't you dare look at her in that way again" I spat out. Dragging Genesis towards the door. Her feet were glued to the floor.

"Winnie, that was harsh. Jack here is just sweet"

I shot her some daggers too from my eyes and that made her shut up immediately. Just what I wanted.

"And he is not sweet. You don't know him" I said, trying to drag her again.

"And you do?" that was Jack again resurrecting my anger. I just wanted to have lunch, was that too much to ask.

"Well you don't. And I won't have you call me such names again" he said with authority in his voice and that only made me gag. I dropped my hands from my sister's and made my way to the front of his desk, my desk actually.

Eye ball to eye ball. "And if I do, what will you do, swine" I made sure to say those last words loudly so it would hit him well.

"I will get, what you took from me the other day"

All traces of anger drained from my face immediately, I knew quite well what he was referring to. He would get the pleasure I had denied him the one and last time we met. How dare he throw that ugly incident in my face? Oh he got something coming to him right now. This was the last straw.

"how dare you talk to my sister like that? Thought you were cool. Winnie just fire him" Genesis said behind me and it made me happy that she was on my side again and not drooling over this guy.

"Yes, Winnie. Fire me" Jack said, still looking straight into my eyes. He has bent to my level and we were just a few meters away from each other. Face to face, eyes to eyes, lips to lips. With that my eyes trailed from his eyes  to his lips, and back to his eyes, and again to his lips. I could feel my hands getting weak from the pressure I had put it. He was daring me to fire him?

"What are you waiting for Winnie?" he said my name with so much authority and it slid out of his mouth in ways I haven't heard before. The room became smaller in my head and it was just us two. I closed my eyes immediately, filling my nose with his scent again.

"You know  what?" I found myself nodding my head. My head was full at this moment and all I wanted to do was murder.

"I think your fired" I spat out, turning on my heels and heading out. His voice stopped me again.

"You think?"

I turned to him and he was wearing the most charming smile I have ever seen on him. I hate myself for seeing it that way. This guy has just bitten more than he can chew, but it seems like he was chewing it just fine. For the first time I was short of words.

I turned on my heels again and dragged my sister with me, this time her legs were loose enough.

"let's get out of here" I finally found my words.
