So, I guess you guys have already see my new book cover for Truth be told and it finally finally finally has a dark themed cover.

The previous cover was whitish and TBH it was good as well mostly because Lei approved and I actually got the Best Cover in Library awards Fall 2020 in it. YAY!!!!

Yes, Lei actually said that!!! I am jumping!

Anyways so I didn't want to change my cover. Really. Because Lei said it is beautiful but then again, I figured it do need a darker tone since the stories are a bit dark and philosophical. And even two people told me to do so. So I figured I should at least try making a dark theme cover... which I did.

So, the current covers is---

No credits here, I literally did all the things. The mask, the border, I drew everything.

If I come to explainimg the cover, I think, I'll start by saying that the book title is actually mocking the book. Since the truth remains hidden or they are all open ended stories, I named it 'Truth be Told' sarcastically. So, I wanted the picture I include, not to mock the book.

Masks are used to hide someone's identity so I think, that's what drew me to make it the star image. I went for a mask and I also drew it.

The cover is a bit complementary because the mask keeps things hidden and so does my book. But when you come to the title it means to reveal that hidden truth which I don't, in the stories. Therefore, I think this cover goes deeper than perceived.

Anyways, I need your opinion. Do you want me to keep the black cover or the white cover?
