Yoongi and Jimin, two of the most notorious gangsters in the city, stood on a rooftop, surveying their domain.

"You know, hyung," Jimin said,
"sometimes I wonder if we're doing the right thing."

Yoongi snorted.
"Right thing? There's no such thing in our line of work, Jimin. We survive by doing what we have to do."

"But what about her?" Jimin asked, nodding towards a young woman who was approaching them.
"What does she have to do with any of this?"

Yoongi turned to look at the girl. She was innocent, untouched by the darkness that surrounded them. He felt a strange pull towards her, something he couldn't explain.

"Leila," he said softly, as the girl drew closer. "What are you doing up here?"

"Just enjoying the view," Leila said with a smile. "What about you guys?"

"Same as always," Jimin said with a shrug.

Yoongi watched Leila for a moment longer, wondering what it was about her that had caught his attention.
He didn't realize that, in that moment, his fate and Leila's had become intertwined in a way he could never have imagined.
