I have been reading a novel on wattpad since in the morning, I have not been of any use actually because I have been lying on my bed for hours. I swept the house and prepared breakfast but then I continued resting after that.

A video call came through WhatsApp and it was A, I loose my head tie and wrapped it around my neck doing a hijab style before picking up the video call.

"Hello." I waved "Hi." He waved back.

After exchanging pleasantries he looked around the room "Why is the room so scattered?" Ya ilahir rahimin "Well I am yet to make the room look good again." Oh Allah help my lazy ass.

"Your room is always like this,you don't seem like a fan of keeping your room neat." Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!

"I won't lie,am so lazy and that is why my room is always scattered." I told him the truth,of course it is embarrassing but I don't want our relationship to be based on a lie.He should better know my shortcomings so that he will know how to manage me even after our marriage. I looked up at him and what he did surprised me.

"Being lazy is fine but leaving your room this dirty as a lady is really not a great thing." He said turning serious "I want to change." I really do "Actions speak louder than word,if you want to change then you have to start working on changing." He is right,I have always said that I want to change but I have never made an effort to change.

"You are right." I nodded my head "I will try as much as I can to start acting on it." I said with dedication etched in my voice, I want to do this and I will do it "Well you should start today.How about you do it first thing in the morning? Before breakfast." That would surely suck "No." I replied pouting "Yes"

"Stop being childish and give it a try." Okay he is getting on my nerves.

"I will try." I finally gave up and he smiled brightly "I have a surprise for you." Oh I love surprises "It is a surprise so don't ask questions." That made me pout my lips.

"I have to go precious, I lost track of time and now am late.Bye bye I love you so much." He hurriedly hang the call leaving my "I love you too" hanging.

Well here goes nothing! Am going to make this room look presentable right now.

I started by tidying up my clothes which were scattered on the couch,I took them all to their respective places in my wardrobe then took my bags back to their places also and then shoes. I made my bed then I swept the room and mopped then cleaned the other things.

Exhausted I stood up and took a picture them send it to A with a caption "Your precious did it!"

I know but love makes us do all those sort of cringe worthy things! Well that is if you find this cringe worthy.Lmao.

I decided to wash my legs because they have turned so dirty so I decided to use a chemical for washing legs which I bought last month.

I got a little bath tub and took it to the parlor then pour the chemical inside the tub and put my leg inside,I snapped some goofy pictures and realized that I was looking like a messed up angry bird,I look like some sort of a maid,my face was oh so dry.Well I look so ugly in particular and I was still wearing my sleeping gown which is long.

I put my legs inside sighing a little as the cold chemical met my legs,I carried my phone and turn on my data and I decided to message Salima so that we can put our differences aside like matured people.

Me:You really hurt me,when a stone is being thrown into a river,you don't know how deep it would go,what you said to me went to the deepest depth of my heart.You know the feeling of not being enough? That was what settled into my soul at that time,as much as I hate to admit it what you did cannot be justified but as your friend I forgive you.

You should know that I have nothing against your husband and about my ex,what happened between us happened in the past,and all the past have is memories.Let's keep our deferences aside and forgive each other.

You know what? Am proud of myself for doing this, I feel so happy and lighthearted after doing this,among all of my friends none of them tried reconciling us and doing it myself feels great and good.

Smiling like a I won a trophy I focus my attention to the tv.

After like 10 minutes, I decided to stand up so that I will go and wash my legs, I carried the tub after removing my legs but quickly kept it when my legs touch the tiles,God! My legs are slippery.

I decided to have some sort of adventure,well walking to the kitchen with slippery leg won't hurt right? I just have to careful,point understood!

I put my feet forward trying to be careful but I nearly slipped.

I continue walking but before I could register what was happening my legs slipped.

It was like am in a movie.

With my eyes bulged out.

I found my self on the floor with a loud thud and then pain shot through my back.

"Arghhh." I let out a frustrated scream,the door flew open when I was falling and it was Yaya because I heard his gasp.

"What is wrong?" He asked making me roll my eyes "Obviously,I fell down." I replied annoyed not making an effort to stand up ""How did you fall down?" Oh he should stop the question already "I used a chemical to clean my feet and it turned out to be slippery." I answered sighing.

"Why are you heading to the kitchen?" Oh Allah his question are getting on my nerves.

"Adventure." I shrugged making an effort to stand up "This isn't some sort of a forest,it is a house Daya." Goodness God! "Tell me something I don't know Yaya."

"Help me by bringing a hand so that I can stand up and no more question.Adventure isn't necessary to happen in a forest,even what I did right now is adventure like I have said, I will tell you why.You see I started walking from there," i point at the chair I sat down "Then walked to this place,in walking this little distance I was trying not to fall down,I was very slow at working," I emphasized "See adventure." I smiled.

Walid and an elder woman were standing by the door,definitely A's mother and then A was smiling amused.My mouth hang open and all it was chanting was 'Innalillahi,Hudaya just fake faint'

Obviously guys! This is so embarrassing,lahaula this is my first time meeting my future mother in law but just take a look at what happened.

"Good afternoon." I whispered looking down "Help her stand up." She ordered Yaya and he did.

It was slippery so I nearly fell down again but Yaya save me and dragged me to my room.

I was trying so hard not to slip again because I am already way too embarrassed right now.

I crawled to the toilet and washed my legs still trying to digest what happened.

1)I slipped when they were coming in.
2)Am still in my night gown.
3)Am looking so messed up right now

Ugh!

Am just locking my room and offing my door for a week! This is too much embarrassing.

I decided to take my bath like any normal person would do then of course got dressed into Ankara skirt and blouse, I did my usual head tie style and sprayed perfumes then slump back on my bed letting out a muffled scream,embarrassment will kill me one day.

"Daya,come out." Yaya knocked on my door,am sincerely not ready to go out right now,how on earth am I supposed to look at that old woman? First impression really matters but I ended up getting 0 out of 100 in our first meeting.

Sigh!

I opened the door with a frown and I found a beaming Bashir aka Yaya aka Yaya Bash.

I should probably stop fooling around for now!

"What?" I groaned and he laughed "I cannot believe that you slipped and fell down in-front of your to b-,"  Trust the idiot in making me feel worse,he is supposed to be consoling me telling me that it is just fine even though it is not "Just hold it!" I sternly stated keeping a straight face "Your presence is needed in the parlor." He stated shrugging his shoulder as he walk out laughing.

Remind me to kill him later.

Funny enough,trying not to make a fool out of myself I carried my long hijab which reached my toe and put it on,I sprayed a little perfume and stood in-front of the mirror trying to restore some of my confidence.Afterall,am just going to greet her and come back.

Ugh...it is not as easy as it sounds,deciding not waste anymore I opened the door,I regretted it as soon as I did it because all their heads snapped to my direction.

For the first time in my life, I hated the setting of our house! Why does everywhere have to be direct link to the parlor? Well whatever.

I needed to get myself ready more but for now I have to give a nervous smile and walk there.Ahh and I need to watch my steps,my legs are shaking and afraid they might let me fall.

I walked the carpet straight and sat down looking at the floor "Good afternoon," I smiled "Afternoon Hudaya,how are you?" She seem nice but strict "Am fine," I replied "You don't need to be nervous," That was A!

Oh he is so shameless, I shot him a glare and he grinned "Shut up Abdullahi! Kids of nowadays are so shameless,my apologies Hajiya." His mother stated giving him a stern look "Hey sis,how far?" Walid asked and I smiled "Fine fine." Am still shy though,so am still looking down and the carpet design looks alluring.

"Um so we came here to invite you to the naming ceremony of Aliya's baby,Abdullahi wanted to invite you two through the phone but I told him that am coming by my self." She stated smiling "You didn't have to do that but thank you." So,mama is this social? I never knew,look at the way she is advertising toothpaste hahaha!

"You should take the refreshment please." Mama said looking at me signaling me to go and hand it to them but I acted like I didn't understand what she meant,please guys I cannot go close to that lady okay.

Well at the end they served themselves,that was actually how it was supposed to be,they gisted for a while and them decided to leave.

"Thank you for coming." I said looking down shyly.

"You are welcome,just take care of your adventures Abdullahi will go crazy if something happens to you." Am sweating y'all.

"Mama please stop calling me Abdullahi,am Abdullah," the whiny brat whined "Whatever." She rolled her eyes smiling at me but I was too shocked.

A came forward in style "Normal girls bath in the morning and get dressed,don't ever try that kind of adventure again, I don't want anything to happen to you. I will prescribe some pain relievers for you to take and a cream that you should apply on your back." Just tell me why on earth did I choose to date a doctor.

I rolled my eyes and huffed "It was a sight to watch,very funny sight." He flashed me his phone and it was me looking at his mother with a horrified look.

"I will kill you A! Definitely," I snarled.

"You love me too much to even think of killing A's precious,don't worry I still love you because baby I love you just the way you are!"

And then he ran to the car.Gosh too much for just a day but then I still had a hint of smile curling on my lips.
