a pastime most of us do,

so just sit and relax with a drink,

as you casually solve each clue.

The first crossword called a word-cross was published in the Sunday New York World on December 21st 1913, it was devised by Arthur Wynne from Liverpool, this later became known as crossword, Wynne had based the puzzle on an ancient Pompeii one called magic squares in which letters are placed on a grid and read the same way across and down.
