It's International Migrants day,

to remember those lives lost

while trying to reach somewhere safe

but paid the ultimate cost .

On December 4th the UN General Assembly delegated December 18th as International Migrants Day. Today is to draw attention to the contribution of migrants and promote their human rights, it is also to commemorate the lives that have being lost while trying to reach a safe place to live and to remember those  separated from their loved ones. We must never forget that migration is often the only hope these people have to escape conflict and abuse.
