December 10th is very special,

it's International Human Rights day,

a time to treat people with dignity,

listen to what they have to say.

We should show no prejudices 

because of colour of skin,

or because of gender,

beliefs or ethnic origin,

mankind must come together,

this feeling must come from within.

Human Rights Day is held every year on December 10th , it commemorates this day in 1948 when the United Nations General Assembly adoped the Universal Declaratioìn of Human Rights, in 1950, the Assembly passed resolution 423 (V) to allow all interested states and organisations to observe this day. It is time for mankind to stop horrific violence, the hate and racial abuse must cease. We can all make a difference at places of work, schools, public transport and in the street, we must all unite  together and make a stand for humanity. Refugees, migrants, the disabled, indigenous people or any one else should not have to face hostility and prejudice, they all have a right to freedom and peace.
