Chapter 6

Jimin was packing neatly his suitcase, placing the already folded and ironned clothes in it, as his sister had prepared for him.

He had addressed the subject of his new job at lasts night dinner, creating a wave of happiness as his sister always wanted for him a better job than working at that night club.

His nephews however weren't that pleased with his leave, as they loved him and wanted him to stay with them but he managed to explain that it wasn't for long and eventually promised them that he would visit often.

His father thought was a more difficult case, and Jimin knew well that he was not believing anything that Jimin had told him about his job. However Jimin hadn't really lied. He was going to work as a butler for a rich lady, now the fact that he hide the reason he was doing that wasn't that important.

In any case, fooling his father was very difficult as that old man was always quick to catch up on things and that was why he had called him on his room after the dinner was over.

Him and Jimin didn't talked much to his surprise. His father had just told him one thing and that was "Just don't do anything that will bring shame to your soul my son."

To say that Jimin wasn't touched at that moment would have been a lie and his emotions were reflected through the tight hug that gave to his old man, whispering to his ear to not worry about anything.

His sleep wasn't as smooth as he had thought to be, maybe because it was early for him to sleep and he was used to staying up all night because of his job that he had quit that exact night. Maybe it was the fact that he was thinking about his new job or maybe it was the anticipation of the information that his hyung, Namjoon was about to bring him.

He knew it was easy for him to do so, considering that he was a policeman and all he had to do is get on his computer and write down her name on the search bar, despite that Jimin also knew that even though it was easy for him to do, still it didn't make it right for him to ask him to do it. But he had no one else to go to and he had to know what exactly was he getting into.

"Jimin-ah, you are ready?" His sister interrupted him from his the trail of thoughts that was traveling to last night, making him look past his shoulder to take a glimpse of her figure.

"You made it pretty easy so, yes." He responded, smiling while he placed the last cloth inside his suitcase and closed it, pulling the zipper.

Before he gets the chance to get up, he felt two small bodies crushing against his back, hugging him.

"We love you uncle. Good luck on your new job!" The two kids simultaneously Said as they had prepared together their goodbye speech last night, before going to sleep.

Jimin's laughter couldn't be helped but echo in the room for a moment, before he turned around and grabbed the two in his embrace, attacking them with kisses and they, generously gifting him their cute giggles that filled him with life.

"If you ain't the most annoying, adorable brats of my life, i don't even know." He commented, now having them wrapped under his arms and lifting them, throwing them on his bed, where they started a wrestling game like they usually did on the mornings.

SooLin couldn't help but shake her head, smiling at their silliness and carefree attitude, before turning her back and heading back to the kitchen with thoughts of gratitude for the having this people around her.

Even if her husband was no longer, she still had a family.

---change of set---

You took a sip of the warm beverage that your cup was filled with, gazing out of your balcony.

The garden was beautiful as it always had been, since the day you had first come to this house. The gardener always doing his best at keeping it's beauty, even in the seasons that was hard to do so, as winter was.

Though now was autumn , the first time you had visited this house was winter and this garden had still managed to captive your attention. Maybe it's wasn't exactly because of it's beauty though. Surely the fact that you didn't even wanted to be at this place had something to do with it as you would avert your attention at anything but the conversation that was going down back then.

However even though you took your attention away for that moment, here you where now, in a situation that even if you try to do that again and again, nothing will change. You won't feel any better. There was no exit in your eyes and that was suffocating.

Suffocating. The way you feel when you are under water. But if you were a creature of water you wouldn't feel like you were suffocating when in it. Like fish, like mermaids. Mermans. Could he possibly be able to breath normally under pressuring situations? Suddenly, he popped in his mind and you couldn't help but wonder, if he was someone that would handle things differently than you did.

What am i thinking? Why am i even bringing him up.

You thought however your mind gave you immediately the answer you did. It was simple. You had seen his face on a sketch book sheet so many times, and like a fictional character you had used him almost as many times as you had seen him, to not say more.

When you thought of something, in a corner you used to ask yourself, what would this character do? In a way you would make up an answer, giving to the character to speak the thoughts you were trying to dismiss.

Like a psychological exercise of some kind, your consciousness having taken the face of that drawing that somehow you ended up meeting in real life.

It was almost like a fairy tale coming into life and as thus it was justifiable that you were looking forward to see how life will be, with the merman around.

Jimin was his name? Jimin. Sounds fitting for a merman, i suppose.

You thought then laughed at your own, feeling slightly happier than you were a moment ago.

---Time skip---

It was afternoon and you were reading a book by the pool, dressed well to make sure you won't get affected by the light breeze that was around.

A cup of tea, resting on the table before you, the steam floating around you, as a maid had just brought it to you.

Your new butler had yet to arrive as you had been informed from your husband that he was going to drop by at the afternoon and you were actually waiting for him in anticipation.

Why anticipating exactly, you weren't sure but it would be nothing but nice to welcome him and show him around, informing him of the rules his job includes and such, and you wanted to have a good first impression.

You were going to spend some time together after all, so who knows, maybe just maybe, he could become what you didn't had in this house and in general in your current life . A friend.

It could be considered pretty bold of you to think that you could make a friend but you could give it a try, right?

Some faint footsteps reached to your ears as you were turning to the next page, your mind being occupied with the story line. However you couldn't help but want to take a look to know who was approaching but as you teared your eyes away from the page, you noticed a red mark upon your shirt.

You brought your hand to it, in confusion as you didn't remember having stained your shirt anywhere but as you did so you noticed that it wasn't a stain. It was a light. A small red light that was aiming your chest.

At the realization your body froze in place, before the steps becoming quicker and a body falling over your, pushing you inside the pool.

You were straggling to get away from whoever was that someone that was trying to hold you underwater, feeling your self panicking and unable to breath but then you opened your eyes as two arms grabbed your pinning you in place.

Jimin's face was right before you. His eyes looking as if they were shinning under water, his pink hair flowing all over the place as his finger moved to his lips, giving you the message to hush before he swam up and took a peek outside.

You wanted to do the same, as the need for oxygen was increasing but he pushed your head down before you could reach the surface.

When he came back to you, you couldn't help but let some bubbles escape your mouth, unable to hold on anyone and that was when you felt his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him, before placing his lips upon your, making your eyes widen.

This man was kissing you while being Underwater. He was truly living up to his merman name, more than ever before.
