TaeYong stepped out of the meeting room, visibly tired and perplexed as he rubbed his forehead, feeling the headache he currently had thumbing under his skin to the point that was making his vision dizzy.

"Bring me some medicine and a cup of coffee." He ordered his secretary as they walked towards his office and the man immediately hurried to do so, leaving him alone till he passed by the glassy doors and found himself on his comfortable space , where he sat on his chair and literally felt as if his body got heavier .

This job is a mess.

He complained in his head, as he couldn't help but recall some of the discussions that they had in the meeting room with the other participants that truly tired his mental state.

"Bring the notes of the meeting and tell LeeGuk to come here." He spoke to his secretary that entered with the coffee and his medicine as he remained looking up at the ceiling, trying to get his body to function again.

"I am afraid Mr LeeGuk can't come for the moment. His secretary informed of his absence for some hours." TaeYong just dismissed the man after hearing that and left an exhale escape his lips, before taking the pill for the headache and gulping it down. He made an unpleasant facial expression as he tasted the pill and then took some gulps of his coffee that wasn't really sweeter than the medicine but it was what he was used to. 

He was about to put everything at the side and focus on some paperwork that he had to do but his phone - which he had left on his desk- started buzzing, grabbing his attention. He smiled a bit after he saw whom was calling him then picked up the call, expecting to hear some good news.

"I am assuming you found what i asked of you." He said, implying that only in that case he would find acceptable to waste his time in this phone call at that moment.

"When have i disappointed you?" HanJae replied as he indeed had always seen through any request of his politician friend whom even though he was friends with, he knew well that he had to be cautious to not get in TaeYong's bad side. 

Everyone whom were around TaeYong were always like that. His friendship with them was never exactly what the definition of the word represents however he was used to that and that was the reason why only LeeGuk was the exception for him. Because he had been there always despite what benefits him or not while friends like HanJae were around for personal interests.

"And you better never do. Unless you have changed your mind and want to become poor all of  a sudden." TaeYong subtly threatened him and smiled as he heard the awkward laugh of HanJae across the line.

"As humorous as always. Anyways, why did you need that information about Jimin? Is he not doing well his job or something?" HanJae questioned out of momentary curiosity but he already knew that he was not gonna take an answer.

"Send me the contact and don't waste my time."TaeYong hung up on him and waited for a bit till he received the text that he wanted.

"Now let's see, how much faster is Jimin going to do his job." He mumbled to himself as a smile reached to his lips, feeling satisfied with his genius ideas.

---Change of set---

"I am terribly sorry that i left you waiting. For some reason the roads were more busy than i had calculated ." LeeGuk apologised as he entered in his house, having found you waiting for him on his door step.

"You  don't need to be concerned about it. I just arrived myself. Besides i am not from the people that usually wait for others, it was a nice change for some minutes." You gave him a thin smile as you entered the living room, him some feet ahead of you and Jimin some steps behind you.

"I am glad that you are so forgiving." He replied as he knew well that  most people of your circle would have made this a huge deal.

"Please have a seat. " He instructed you and  you didn't hesitate to do so while Jimin positioned himself silently at a corner of the room.

"He must be your new butler, i assume. TaeYong has spoken a lot about him. It's nice to meet you." LeeGuk bowed to Jimin and gave him a polite smile that took Jimin by surprise as not many people pay attention to staff but he returned his respectful gestures nonetheless while gifting him a formal response .

"So what should i bring for you? Some Juice? Coffee?"

"A glass of water would be appreciated ." You replied and he gave you a small bow before disappearing to his kitchen.

While he was gone you stood up and got rid of your jacket, leaving it at the side along with your bag then you straighten up your shirt a bit and fixed your hair, growing a bit nervous as the time kept ticking.

"I hope you don't mind but i really needed some coffee. It's been a hestic day." He returned in the room while talking and you smiled as he kept approaching  , having in hand a cup of coffee for himself and the water that you requested.

"Life itself is hestic sometimes. Everyone needs a boost here and there." You replied as you observed him taking a seat opposite you and as soon as you locked eyes, you understood that his proper and normal behavior that he had showed till now, was nothing but a safety wall he was trying to build because he was uncertain of the real reason that you were there.

"You must be surprised that i called you." You dared and stated while your face displayed a tenacious expression which you were hoping to be enough to make him a bit alert on the inside.

 "It certainly was unexpected but seeing you was never something unpleasant so worry not. Of course i admit that i am curious as of what might the reason be that you wanted to see me." You stood up as he replied and you could see that your actions made him tense as the sip of coffee he had taken got stuck on his throat.

"I am glad you find me pleasant unlike your friend." You commented as you started looking around, soon taking some slow steps towards the library that was behind the couch he was sitting .

"I hope you don't mind if i look around for a bit. You have a quiet interesting collection." You continued and LeeGuk gave a look towards Jimin whom was standing still and pretending that he wasn't stealing glances your way but only looking ahead.

Jimin's presence in the room, made him somehow more uncomfortable as he already was in a condition where he didn't know much of where you exactly wanted to take this or what was your motive but he sure knew that you weren't here to take a look at his house nor to enjoy his company .

"Of course i don't mind. I have nothing to hide." He replied as he stood up and came by your side while your eyes were traveling among the titles of his books.

"Everyone has something to hide. There is no human without a kind of secret." You smiled as you brought your fingers to trace slowly on top of some books till you stopped at a certain one. A mystery book written by Agatha Christie. 'And then there were none'.

"Does that mean that you have one too?" He questioned as he placed his one hand on the shelf, having put your body under his arm. You felt the heat of his body behind you and you understood well that this trapping action was mostly to make you feel intimidated but to his unfortunate luck, you had no plans on letting such emotions show through because if you were to lose the upper hand in this conversation , you knew well that he would take full advantage of it skilfully . 

So instead of gifting him the awkward and nervous facial expression that he was expecting, you turned around and faced him, the close proximity making him feel slightly anxious instead. Your eye contact was stable and your face showed no hint of any uncomfortable feelings and for some reason he couldn't help but be impressed by your behavior and smile a bit as he placed some proper distance.

"Invation of personal space. Not done intentionally." He claimed as he placed his two hands up in a manner that implied surrender and you just laughed elegantly, letting your hand cover your lips .

"You are funny. Maybe we should see each other more often." Your gaze deliberately left some implications and LeeGuk snickered at the things his mind went to.

"As much as i would like that statement to be real we both know that is not the case. If you want me to pretend i believe you however, i sure will." He let you know that he wasn't buying your sudden interest but that wasn't something you weren't expecting. 

"Why would you like it to be real? " You asked as your face took a serious expression and he changes his too, instantly.

"We are alike. Your aura always had something familiar, i am sure you have noticed too. So instead of trying to manipulate each other further, can't you just tell me? If it's in my hand, i would gladly help." You left a thin smile reach to your lips as a certain sadness appeared on your eyes for a moment, knowing well that there was no way you would trust him or anyone so simply nor you were naive enough to believe anyone would really help without having something to gain personally out of the situation.

"Some years ago, when i first met you. My mother had rambled about your story briefly. You know how people of our circle like getting infrormed about other people's lives."You started speaking as you looked around then returned back to lock eyes with him.

"Willingly or not i got to know about where you come from and honestly whom can not respect someone whom rises from nothing. But no , if you are wondering, that wasn't what defined you in my thoughts." You took a step closer at him and left your hands reach slowly till his tie which needed a bit of fixing.

"It was the simple fact that you knew how losing someone feels. That glow of subtle hate and agony. Maybe even misery if you will" Your  eyes were pinned on the tie as you were speaking, intentionally letting the tension rise between you as you understood well that just like your words, your actions were strong and as you made his tie tighter, he could sense the threatening layer that you wanted to enstablish.

Yes, threatening someone like him might be a bit bold but you also knew that if it wasn't something strong, then it was not gonna be effective and you really needed him to be a bit pressured .

"I have no bad intentions towards you or anyone really , however anyone should protect themselves when under attack. If you really wanted to help me, you would have done so already,since i have been under attack for a while and you sure know of it."You brushed his shoulders lightly before looking at him again while he had a face without any expressions on, exactly as you were hoping .

"Oh well, our conversation went a bit too far and to thing that i wanted to see you only for a simple request." You smiled as you stepped back , planning to take this to the next step as you now had estamblished  your mental strength and had clearly showed him that he shouldn't underestimate you.

"I am listening." He forced himself to smile and not let it show how your words had messed up his waters.

"Your so called cousin has been running her mouth lately. Since you have such good relationships with her, would it be a bother for you to speak to her about it?" You presented your thoughts properly as involving BaRam was a bit risky however even though you were bluffing , you were sure that she definitely must be running her mouth about you somewhere.

"For you to come to such extend , she must have said something very unpleasant." LeeGuk left his eyebrow rise as his curiosity was piqued about what she must have said to make you come and meet him.

Him and BaRam had a very close relationship and jokingly called each other cousins , mostly because LeeGuk and TaeYong knew her from a young age and she was someone helpful to have around because even though she was annoyingly  bubbly and chatty she had information about every gossip that anyone would probably  want to hear.

"Unpleasant isn't exactly the word i would use. Troublesome would fit more." You replied as you took some steps towards the table ,taking a hold of the glass of water you had yet to drink of.

"Speaking of  my husband's exes and comparing me to them sure can be considered unpleasant but it is mostly troublesome as people start questioning his fidelity . I definitely don't like dealing with extra words you know." You smirked a bit as you finished your sentence then took a gulp of your water, feeling relieved that you managed to get to this point smoothly.

"Oh well that sure is not good. Don't worry , i will take care of it. I am terribly sorry that it got to the point of you having to interfere however.  The comments must have been bothersome." He showed some frivolous sympathy while he made a mental note to shut that girls mouths cause if TaeYong was to learn of this , he would surely get furious.

"Comments don't get to me easily. I sure was surprised from the list of his exes however. No relationship of his was ever public besides ours .People must have thought that i was his first or something. What a way to break people's illusions. "You joked as you placed the glass back on the table and turned to face him whom was smiling widely, propably covering his worrying thoughts or so you wanted the case to be.

"Ah you have humor. I like that." LeeGuk stated as he came a bit forward however his statement and the playfulness his body language was radiating at that moment, made Jimin clench his fist silently at the corner as he had been really enduring to much while remaining there.

From your playful and welcoming actions towards him, to your subtle touches and your little smiles and his gazes and enjoyable expressions. All were ticking him badly and a bothersome emotion had taken over him on the inside. A slight dislike mixed with anger which he couldn't justify nor express at that moment, no matter how difficult it was to stay put and just keep watching.

"We both know i wasn't his first though." You smirked, letting your implication hung in the air for a moment. "And to my surprise neither was my best friend." You added , clearing the mist you created a second earlier.

"Ah Y/N what are you talking about? There was no s-"

"She isn't on the list but i sure know what they had. So instead of trying to deny something that is useless between us. Let me tell you why i am being so manipulative as you early stated." You cut him off and boldy looked at him, bring the atmosphere to the serious state you desired.

"In all these mess, a sudden thought crossed my mind. A surely unpleasant one. A what if that would surely make me get defensive."

"And what is that thought?" LeeGuk questioned as he was fully paying attention to you, understanding that this was core of the conversation that you were having as you practically were stating that , your so called thought could possibly make you step into attack mode towards his friend, or maybe you had already started attacking, considering your latest actions towards TaeYong.

"You said you would help me so i am expecting you to answer this question of mine. Was he in involved with anyone else while he was in a relationship with my friend? " You didn't hesitate to make your question as clear as possible and he fell silent exactly as you were expecting. No way he would respond so casually after all, because your question held a big weight however his hesitation surely proved you one thing , and that was that whatever he was to say next, would be a lie.

NamJoon had asked you to get infromation about his exes if there were any but your focus was on a specific ex . One that even though may not fulfill the searching quest you and NamJoon had about the culprit , sure was about to fulfill some of your assumptions about the existence of such a person.

"Ms Lee, to my knowledge there was no such thing." He replied and you snickered at the use of his words.

"I hope in the future you don't say words you can't keep Mr LeeGuk. Even though your loaylty is admirable, you should know better than anyone. A lie remains a lie." You turned around and grabbed your jacket and your bag after you left those words escape from your lips then you looked at Jimin, gesturinging him to approach.

"I am thankful of your time. In hopes of a future meeting in a better light, I bid you my farewell."You gave him a slight bow of the head which he returned , before you headed towards the exit and Jimin followed you silently, close behind.

You held your upright posture till you stepped inside the car then after Jimin did so too and closed the door, you smiled brightly, feeling proud of your accomplishment. You surely were  very nervous and scared about this meeting but it turned out that you managed to get  the control of the conversation better than you had imagined.

"Call your friend Jimin. We have a lead." You told him and he looked at you for a moment, finding you amusing but also dangerous. 

"You can get scary when you want to."He commented as he retrieved his phone from his pocket and you smiled widely from satisfaction.

"Even a cat can make you bleed if you bother her enough."  You said and Jimin giggled while he found your confidence being incredibly attractive.

"What should i tell him?"

"A list of people that TaeYong has come across at the day he officaly got together with MinHee till her death. We are looking for someone impossible. Someone so uncommon yet so important that even a childhood friend wouldn't know about." You told him and Jimin finally connected all your strange questions and words you had said. 

Nothing that had left your mouth was coincidental as you had tried to calculate every possible openning. If BaRam was someone that knew of all his exes indeed, as LeeGuk didn't question your claim of her doing so, but didn't know of MinHee as when you stated that she wasn't on the list , he once again hadn't gave a reaction , making it something obvious that BaRam wouldn't know of that one, meant that the woman that MinHee had mentioned to you was also someone as hidden as your best friend was. 

And why would she be hidden, if she held no importance? TaeYong used to tell your friend that he was keeping them on the low because she was important to him and didn't want to risk criticism. Assuming that his feelings for MinHee were true there are left only two options why he woudl be hiding that other woman. Firstly, because she held an importance. Different from the one MinHee held .And secondly because his involved with her might have been something that would cost him publicly. 

You had no one particular in mind but you will just wait and see what Mr Officer will dig out as he sure seemed to be very good at that and maybe, like that, little by little, you will be able to clarify the fog that veiled over her death which was of at most importance to you.
