LeeGuk entered in TaeYong's office, finding him on his chair. His eyes were staring at the white ceiling as his hands had fallen limp on the sides of his body .

"Seems like you slept too well. Your face is screaming of life." He sarcastically commented before taking his seat on a chair at the other side of his desk and TaeYong ignored him for some more minutes as he hadn't closed his eyes all night. He hadn't only been able to sleep but even keeping his eyelids shut for a moment would bring her face in front of his eyes and would make him shiver to the bones. Because of that he ended up drinking coffee to stay awake but after a point, the stinging feeling had grew unbearable making him to just want to pass out however he was afraid to do so, knowing that in his condition , his unconsciousness would bring much worse images in his mind and rule his dreams with nightmares of that night.

He just didn't want to remember it anymore. He didn't want to feel it again and again as if he was living it on replay. His sanity was waving because of it so he would do anything to avoid it  and that's how he was now standing there, with red bloody eyes and a mind that was barely functioning .

"You dead? " LeeGuk teased him since he took no response from him earlier and stood up to take a better and closer look at his face. "If yes, can i get your favourite necktie?" He smiled with an enthusiastic gaze and TaeYong slowly lowered his head to meet his gaze, having on an expressionless face.

"I will take that with me even when i die. Just so you won't ever have it." He told him in a monotonous tone and LeeGuk pouted for a moment as he sat down on his seat again.

"How mean of you."

"Shut up." TaeYong groaned as his head found its way to his hands where it rested there till it slowly slipped to his desk, making a small thud at the contact .

"You seriously look aweful. How are you even going to do anything today? Did you get too wild with Y/N yesterday that she left you sleepless?" LeeGuk smirked at his statement as he was once again just being himself and annoying his friend.

"Yeah . She managed that somehow. Not in the tasteless way that you are implying tho." TaeYong admitted and forced himself to straighten up his posture a bit.

"See? My so called tasteless option would have gotten you some fun out of it though. While this has no benefits ." 

"If you are not going to help . Get out of my face. Your are irritating ." TaeYong couldn't help but express himself freely as he stood up from his seat , thinking of going to the bathroom and splash some water on his face. 

"I am already helping. Unlike you that are staying here, sulking and struggling . I already got you a step  ahead." LeeGuk proudly announced ,winning TaeYong's attention as he was expecting .

"Don't tire me for God's sake and just speak up." 

"Oh my!Please let God out of this. We both know, this isn't his field." LeeGuk joked again and laughed alone at his own joke as TaeYong kept observing him with an unimpressed face.

"Fine fine. So, i think i know why our lovely lady, starting getting more courageous ."LeeGuk's gaze shifted to a more serious one as he got into the subject then he leaned closer to TaeYong ,action that made TaeYong grow tense of what he was about to say.

" Did you know that the Jimin guy that you hired has a best friend whom is a police officer?" His words made TaeYong's eyes widen as he was not aware of such a thing and the word police on its own, woke a sense of danger within him.

"I guessed that you wouldn't . You rush into things as always. How many times have i told you to do background checks before hiring someone?" LeeGuk deviated his speech to a scolding that made TaeYong narrow his eyes on him.

"Get to the point or i am killing you today." He threatened, totally irritated by his behaviour and LeeGuk looked at his eyes for a moment ,recognising that this was his friend's limit of patience .

"I think he might be helping her." He laid down sharply and shortly his conclusion and TaeYong stayed silent for a second.

"He wouldn't betray me. He needs the money." He spoke out loud his reasoning which LeeGuk quickly shut down.

"Y/N can pay him too." 

"He will keep his part of the deal. He knows that breaking a deal has consequences. He cares for the well being of his family and knows that if i wanted , nothing could protect his loved ones from me. " TaeYong kept showing his security on Jimin , because as someone from the streets as he was, there were more chanced for him to keep his agreements knowing at first hand how many things can go wrong if someone was to not do so. Furthermore he wasn't stupid. HanJae had spoke the best of things about Jimin's professionalism back then and had reassured him of sure satisfaction of his services . 

"I understand where your security comes from but you should have in mind that he is human. Did it ever cross your mind that he could end up caring for Y/N?" LeeGuk's question brought some laughter into the room, as TaeYong found his thoughts as absurd as they were hilarious .

"How could anyone fall for Y/N? Have you seen her? She never smiles, she never laughs. She is as plain as she is uninterested at everything around her." He argued , letting his friend know a bit of his opinion on your character .

"For a moment that sounded like you were describing yourself , you know." LeeGuk mischievously pointed out, erasing the smile that was on his lips.

"I am nothing like her. She is a plain lifeless nothing. She has no interests , no career. No point of being alive. She is just a stuck up idealistic who thinks her opinions matter just because she is the daughter of a wealthy businessman ." 

"Careful there my friend. The hate between your  families  is showing." LeeGuk once again made the situation less serious, making his friend grow tired of his existence again.

"Point is that what you are saying is impossible . And as about Jimin, i admit that his interaction with a police officer is alarming so i will proceed and put his loyalty to the test. Just to be sure." TaeYong concluded now feeling as if he was fired up by the absurd claims of his friend and the ludicrous thoughts of Jimin ever developing feelings for you. 

 He then proceeded to left his office and better his physical state and appearance , leaving LeeGuk seated at his chair keeping to himself how much he disagreed with the thoughts of TaeYong regarding you but yet again that wasn't his issue. His focus was somewhere else that his friend seemed to be missing but he was used to being that one, who always gets stuck at things that he would usually not take notice of. That's why they were such a great team and that was why they had reached so far with the help of one another. However there were certain little moments like this that LeeGuk couldn't help but think of his brother as a mare idiot.

---Time skip---

NamJoon smiled at SooLin as soon as she opened the door for him then raised up his two hands , in which he was carrying some bags, full of things he had stopped by the supermarket and shopped .

"Am i too early?" He questioned her as he had called her this morning and asked her if he could come by for a quick meal around lunch time, since he was in need for some home cooking that would give him the energy that he lacked because of the sleepless hours he had went by.

"I just finished cooking. Come in." She made way for him to pass and he entered, going directly to the kitchen to leave the bags however as soon as he stepped in that room ,the voice of little Yuna greeted him cheerfully .

"Uncle Joonieee" She called before rushing to his arms and he left the bags quickly before taking her in his arms and lifting her up.

"How is my little girl doing? Why aren't you in school?" He asked her and little Yuna, fluttered her eyelashes cutely before telling him that she didn't want to go,since her brother wasn't going either.

"Now now, that won't do Yuna. You have to go to school till your brother recovers and comes too. You are a big girl and can go alone now ,aren't you?" NamJoon tilted his head as he looked at her eyes and little Yuna lowered her head as she didn't want to disappoint him since she loved him a lot but she didn't like going without her brother either which was the reason she had thrown a tantrum this morning and cried to stay with her brother, till SooLin gave in and left her.

"Look at me. SuJae will be alright and he will be coming to school with you real soon. Till then you have to go and learn for him too so you can come home and teach him and show him the awesome things you will learn. And you can video call me too. I would like to know what you will learn." NamJoon pursued her a bit more and thankfully little Yuna smiled at him and gave him a hug before turning to her mom and saying that she is gonna learn lots and know more than SuJae.

NamJoon and SooLin couldn't help but laugh at her competitive spirit and after NamJoon left her down and she rushed upstairs to her brother to announce him that NamJoon had came to visit, SooLin softly looked at NamJoon with a thankful gaze.

"So, You made enough i see."Namjoon spoke up, changing the subject before she could manage to express into words her thankful heart and she derived her attention on the table where she had set all the food.

"Exactly as you told me. But can you please explain why you needed food for three?" SooLin stated her question that was running in her head from the moment he had called her making her create assumptions ,like the one which included that he might be bringing company or he might just want to take extra food with him.

"Jimin will be coming along with a woman that i needed to meet. I apologise for the trouble but this is the safest place for me to meet her and i took Jimin's permission . I brought some things over, i hope they are enough to cover for the expenses ." NamJoon avoided her eye contact and focused on the bags that he brought, his behavior being obviously different than his usual towards her.

"It's okay. You didn't had to compensate . Between us such things don't matter." She told him as indeed such things were never an issue between them. She had cooked countless times for him and she never minded it and he had helped with whatever he could countless times and never had asked for anything in return. They were like a family almost so why was he now behaving so distant ?

The door bell that echoed in the atmosphere , disturbed SooLin's thoughts related to NamJoon's behavior and as NamJoon stated that Jimin must be here, she turned around to go open the door, in which  after she did so, she found her brother, greeting her with a smile, as well as a beautifully young lady, standing by his side.
