Chapter 22

Jimin finally managed to rest his body over his bed, his arms wide open, bare chested and having pulled over the lower part of his body, only the white sheets of his bed, covering up a bit his freshly showered flesh.

He brought his right hand and rested it on his forehead, his hair that had yet to dry, cooling down the high temperature that he was having. He had developed a fever through the night and he had taken notice of it, however it wasn't the first time he had to ignore a bad health condition in order to accomplish his job. In this case, his job was creating closer proximity with you and somehow he thinks he is in the right tracks.

It was obvious that he had an effect on you and you were attracted to him to say the least but he also understood well that such a thing wasn't enough to make someone like you fall in his bed. He didn't need to know you for long to understand that you had a strong control over your self. Your behavior and manners, your facial expressions and your words. You were a proper lady who never left the norms and even though he had realized that you didn't like those norms often, the fact that you never showed that nor had ever broke any of them, showed clearly a good power of control over your own self.

To not mention how reserved you were. He practically had taken nothing out of you. Other people would have started talking by now, about what they like or dislike, even slip into personal stuff and things that may bother them. He had brought a perfect environment for opening up two times already, while eating ice cream on your way to the skate park or even tonight while watching the night view of the city. Who wouldn't let loose over eating? Apparently all but you.

Damn she is such a difficult case. No wonder the money amount is so high.

He thought to himself finally justifying the price that was put over seducing you.

As he was about to shove his thoughts away and go to sleep now that he still could, considering that he had to wake up at eight tomorrow, his phone that was resting on the commode at his right started buzzing, getting his attention. He leaned over and grabbed the phone, seeing TaeYong's number getting displayed on his screen.

Rich people really don't know what sleeping hours mean.

He commented annoyed before taking the call that invited him to go to TaeYong's office, immediately. Jimin groaned in irritation as he hanged up the line and got out of his bed, approaching his closet and shoving something over his exposed body quickly.

He then took his leave quietly, turning no lights on his way, till he reached to the door of TaeYong's office and knocked on it twice before entering, without waiting for any response.

He found him seated on his desk, his head low and a glass full of alcohol still resting on his hand.

"Since you have a drink, i assume you didn't call me to make you one." Jimin spoke as he approached, taking a seat opposite him.

"You assume right." TaeYong looked up at him, serious and collected, having sealed his worry as showing weakness in a deal wasn't good especially when he was confronting someone like Jimin, whom as far as he had stayed at his presence, he wasn't easy.

"I am willing to pay you a good amount of extra money. I need you to do something more for me." He went directly into the topic and Jimin looked at him before letting a smile show on his face.

"May i know what it is that you need me to do?"

"I know it's hard but i need you to gain her trust not just her body. Find a way." TaeYong responded trying to not mention anything that will expose him in his eyes.

Jimin leaned closer at his desk, a subtle smirk still noticeable in the corner of his lips. His eyes looking at him playfully as if he wanted to annoy him.

" Who said i want the extra money? The original deal is enough for me. So no thank you." He declined making TaeYong annoyed as he understood well what he was trying to do.

"Stop playing around. Just what do you want me to say for you to cooperate?"TaeYong gave in, as he had no choice. Jimin had played his cards right and it was obvious that he needed him and unfortunately and annoyingly enough for him, Jimin was playing with that fact.

" Now now, is that how someone that needs someone's help speaks? With that hostile expression on their face?" Jimin pouted before breaking into a small laugh as TaeYong remained cold.

"Did i pissed you off? Sorry, i guess my dislike towards politicians jumped out. I always wanted to annoy one. It certainly is fun." Jimin nonchalantly spoke as he leaned back on his chair and stretched his arms a bit.

"I don't personally like you either but it wouldn't benefit you if we were to take into personal grounds, would you?" TaeYong's implies brought Jimin to a serious state as he stared at the man before him.

"You would step that low? Well i shouldn't be surprised, you are a politician." Jimin tried to play it off and not show that his subtle threat actually had pissed him off. No one threatened his family so casually.

"Well now that i have your full attention, let me explain farther. She is in knowledge of something I am interested to know. I need you to get out of her that information." He explained his hand swinging around the liquid that was left in his glass.

"What kind of information?" Jimin asked and TaeYong's movements stopped as he wasn't sure if he was willing to say that. However he knew that Jimin wouldn't know of what to search for without him telling what he needed.

"About Choi Min Hee. Her best friend. Whatever information she shares regarding her you must report it to me." He told him and Jimin went quiet looking at his eyes. He knew well that even if he was to ask why did he needed any information regarding a dead person, TaeYong obviously wouldn't respond, more over he shouldn't show any interest to get involved in something like that, so he said nothing at all regarding the suspicions he had woken up in his head.

"Okay, is that all? It's late you know. I need some sleep." Jimin yawned, playing the situation as casual and TaeYong allowed him to go, even though his eyes followed him till he exited his office, wondering if he had done the right thing.

He didn't want to wake up any suspicions regarding him and MinHee. He had no reason to be interested over her and he knew well that this request of his had created some question marks in Jimin's head, however he had no choice but to take this risk.

A risk that he considered it small as Jimin was just a barman in need for money that has no reason to get involved in such things. However he was unaware that even though he had no reason to, now he had a desire to do so.

As soon as Jimin got back to his room, he grabbed his phone and called Namjoon, waiting patiently for his friend to pick up whom at that late hour must be definitively sleeping.

"Yeah.." A sleepy deep raspy voice reached his ears once Namjoon picked up the call and Jimin gave him a moment for his brain to return to work, before he threw at him his thoughts.

"Choi MinHee was Y/N's friend. Y/N is married to TaeYong whom had no connections with Choi whatsoever. If that's so.. Can you find me a reason why a politician would be interested in being informed over the Diseased one?"Jimin's words traveled to Namjoon's ears, his mind still sleepy and his eyes still closed.

It took him a moment to give a reply, as his eyes grew up and he ruffled his hair while the information finished the processing procedure on his mind.

" There is non. Unless.."

"That's what i thought too hyung. There is non, unless Choi wasn't a stranger for him either." Jimin said out loud Namjoon's thoughts, as he himself was surprised by this outcome. He couldn't understand how could TaeYong have been involved with her, in what way or for what reason he wanted information now, but he understood that he was, otherwise there was no other reason he would want to know about her. And if not involved with her he definitely had a reason that he was interested in her. Either way this was suspicious.

"I am gonna look it up and see if i can find any interactions of the two. Thanks for telling me" Namjoon was about to hung up after that however as Jimin's voice called his name, he placed the speaker of his phone back close to his ear.

"Are you still.. Not convinced that it was suicide?" Jimin looked around his room as he said that, the thought of it still making him feel uneasy.

"I don't know, it's bagging me." Namjoon responded honestly because the case was long closed and he had no reason to be dwelling over old things however the only reason he was still looking around was his personal intuition that wasn't leaving him alone.

It was always at the corner of his mind. Why, why could she have killed herself if nothing was going apparently wrong in her life? It didn't made sense, it didn't added up and he was an overthinker. If he doesn't find sense to something then it definitely is something wrong with the story that is being provided to him.

"Something is missing. I just don't know what yet." He continued after a long pause that he took, rummaging over his thoughts and knowledge he has over the case then he hung up as Jimin gave him no answer.

He fell back on his bed thinking of Namjoon's words and he couldn't help but agree with him. Something was odd regarding her case. And apparently many people are interested in finding out what was it.
