AN:

Hello there :-D
Did you miss me? Lol

Seokjin heard the approaching hell and moved quickly towards his husband, almost on autopilot. He knew his husband was badly injured from the amount of blood flowing down his body and into the carpet and over the marble floor. If Namjoon wasn't dead already, he would be soon.

He held Namjoon as the latter fell down, clutching at his neck. A bullet to the neck, Seokjin assessed.

"Run." Namjoon wheezed at him, more blood pouring out as he spoke, or rather tried to.

"Don't speak." Seokjin reprimanded sternly. He wished he could panic but didn't have that luxury at the moment.

He moved quickly to grab his silk night attire. He fashioned the shirt into a strip by folding it and tied it across his neck.

He then picked Namjoon up bridal style and groaned when the wound on his bicep bled as a result of strain and the added weight. He had almost forgotten about his wound but he didn't have enough time to tourniquet himself. Just as he exited their room, a fire charge hit it and the walls collapsed in on each other, leaving the room in shambles.

He ran as fast as he could with someone in his arms and reached downstairs as everything above broke and started to fall down in a rain of boulders.

He moved away from the rubble and started to run towards the base tents, medic on his mind.

"Surrender." Namjoon tugged at his collar.

"No, you need medical attention-"

"People," Namjoon interrupted him, "save our peop…" he couldn't finish the rest as his eyes closed.

"No, no, no," Seokjin screamed at him, "stay awake, we'll save them." He then redirected himself towards the Kookmin army and approached them.

"We surrender!" His voice boomed, causing people in his immediate vicinity to halt their warfare.

"We surrender but get me a medic quick!" He tried a little softer now that he had their attention.

A soldier emerged from the wall of soldiers and his uniform gave away his title. He was someone of authority.

"Why? You're going to be executed anyway." He smirked at them.

"He needs to survive until then!" Seokjin glared at him, mentally strangling the man with his bare hands. Or he might just do that when he gets a chance to.

The officer chuckled and called for a medic and four of them arrived. They quickly started to look over Namjoon as Seokjin put him down on the ground and moved a bit away to give them room to work but still keeping them in his line of sight.

"It grazed him and took out a vein but the bleeding was controlled quickly," one of them — the head doctor — said. They assessed him some more over the rest of his body.

"He will survive." Another medic declared.

"Oh thank you, thank you." Seokjin kneeled down as he finally cried out and watched on as the medics cleaned up the wound and started treating it.

"You're injured too." One of them looked towards him and eyed his bicep.

"It's okay, treat him first." Seokjin replied.

"Did the bullet exit the wound?" He already moved away from the rest of his colleagues and approached Seokjin.

"I don't know," the king looked every bit irritated, "treat my husband first."

"There's plenty of us to go around, rest assured," he smiled at him, "good news, the bullet did exit the wound, now we just need to stop the bleeding."

Seokjin tried to smile, grateful for the outcome. It was bad, but not at the same time. He really didn't want to think of anything else at the moment.

Namjoon would live. It kept floating around his head.

★ Meanwhile:

Several yards away on the same battlefield, Kookmin land's finest medical team tried their best to stop the blood flowing from their commander's chest.

Yoongi looked on, shaking and charged like a live wire. His vision blurred as more blood kept pouring out from the bullet hole. Unable to bear more, he headed straight towards the palace, gun in his hand.

Soldiers made way for him as he walked, noticing dead bodies everywhere and some being dragged away by the soldiers to free his path.

"They surrendered." His subordinate informed as he reached the front of the palace gate. He saw doctors working on both the kings. Namjoon was knocked out cold and Seokjin looked up at him, fear masked by indifference.

He walked towards him and put the muzzle of the gun against his temple. The doctor treating the Taniland king swiftly moved away.

"If I wasn't restricted by the orders of the Supreme Leader, I would blow your brain to bits and bathe in your blood right about now." Yoongi spat the words, voice strain indicating just how much he wanted to execute his will. "But I will do that regardless, it is only a matter of time." With that he pulled the trigger, causing Seokjin to jump in surprise. Instead of a bullet entering his brain, he only heard the empty click of the gun, the noise unbelievably loud in his ear.

Yoongi walked away, leaving a shaking Seokjin behind. The doctor treating him moved back to his spot, glad that his patient didn't end up dying — Thank you very much, Second-In-Command Min Yoongi — and that he could resume his work.

★ A week later:

A loud tap reverberated across the main hall as the council of high ranking officers stood at attention in unison. The Supreme Leader walked further inside the hall and took a seat on the massive throne-like chair at the podium of the hall.

"Bring in the prisoners." He ordered, followed by feet shuffling as the foot soldiers moved to drag in said prisoners.

Five prisoners with handcuffs and chains attached to their ankle cuffs were brought to stand in front of the leader.

Before the supreme leader could open his mouth, a soldier walked towards the prisoners and tugged one of them towards him.

"My husband deserves some respect, Supreme Leader." Jungkook bowed down, hand gripping Jimin's forearm rather tightly.

"He chose to deceive you and relay information at your expense," Jungshin pointed out Jimin's crimes, "That grants him a beheading."

"He didn't choose deceit! He was forced to." Jungkook refrained from screaming at the supreme leader, conscious of the hall being filled with other soldiers who shouldn't see him disrespect the leader, regardless of said leader being his father as well.

"So you propose forgiveness for him?" Jungshin was slightly irritated.

"Please." Jungkook didn't care that his tone was pleading.

"Very well, Jeon Jimin is cleared of his charges on request of his husband, the Commander of the Kookmin army." Jungshin had originally decided to forgive Jimin, but as expected, his son was impatient and quite understandably forthright about it.

Jimin wanted to protest, atone for his sins, but one look at Jungkook's relieved face shut him up.

One of the soldiers moved ahead and removed all of Jimin's cuffs and then he was dragged aside by Jungkook to stand next to him at the sidelines.

Jimin fought with his mind for a minute and then cried out as he quickly turned towards his husband and engulfed him in a tight hug, once again interrupting the supreme leader who was about to speak.

"I'm so sorry, I'm sorry!" Jimin murmured. "You almost died because of King Seokjin," Jungkook could simply hold onto his husband, "I'm sorry."

Everyone in the room glanced towards Seokjin when the king's name was mentioned, who had the conscience to look down in shame.

"It's okay, I would do the same in his place." Jungkook reassured Jimin, who moved out of his arms to glare at him disapprovingly. He then placed his hand over his chest, right over the bullet wound.

Now it was Jungshin's turn to interrupt Jimin.

"Are you two lovebirds done?" His voice was stern and when they turned to look towards him, the leader seemed to be irritated, jaws clenched, head tilted at an angle and supported by his index and middle finger at the temple.

"Yes, Supreme Leader, our apologies." Jungkook cleared his throat and bowed, Jimin joining him and looking at everyone apologetically.

"Read out their crimes."

At the supreme leader's command, a list of each of their individual crimes were announced, all amounting to grave punishments. Amongst his crimes, Namjoon was also cleared of falsely being charged of directly ordering the assassination of the supreme leader.

The alliance was destroyed simultaneously when Jungkook was ordered to take down Taniland. Thus, revealing Namjoon's lack of involvement in the assassination plot.

"As per the crimes stated and in accordance with laws of Kookmin land, I order the execution of these four pri-"

Jungshin was, once again, — he really wanted to shoot whoever had the balls to open their mouth at this moment— interrupted.

"Enough is enough!" It was Taehyung's voice, followed by both Seokjin and Namjoon's voices, telling him to shut up.

The anger he felt a moment ago slowly dissipated as the supreme leader glanced at the owner of the voice. Of course, he had the courage to go against him. Who else? He barely restrained himself from chuckling audibly.

"I told you to stop, didn't I?" Taehyung glared at Jungshin as the soldiers handling him put three guns against his head. He still looked as exasperated as before.

Meanwhile, Yoongi was sure his lungs had collapsed, but he couldn't dare to open his mouth. He really didn't want Taehyung to die, he was going to beg for him to be forgiven just as Jungkook had done for his lover. Hell, he would be on his damn knees. But, the way Taehyung was behaving right now will definitely get him express-speed executed.

"I should add another count of crime to your list, shouldn't I?" Jungshin spoke whilst still smiling.

Everyone was confused as hell.

Taehyung decided to roll his eyes.

"Kim Taehyung, guilty of deceiving the supreme leader." Jungshin announced.

"Are you crazy?!" Jimin exclaimed, the only one who knew his friend was actually capable of doing something like this. Rest could only stare incredulously.

"I'm not crazy! He is!" Taehyung angrily pointed towards the supreme leader with both his hands, since they were cuffed together.

Yoongi audibly choked in panic, which to others sounded like he was refraining from laughing.

Everyone looked towards him, even the supreme leader.

"Is this funny to you?" Jungshin sounded angry this time.

"Slightly." Someone announced their presence at the entrance of the hall.

All heads rose and turned towards the person who walked inside the hall, smiling at their bewildered visages.

Jungshin got up from his seat and walked down in a trance-like state.

"Arya." He whispered, enthralled.

Said person walked past him and sat on the throne-like chair, looking fit for the designation.

Jungkook moved ahead towards the podium and bowed respectfully.

"Welcome home, Papa." He smiled wholly when he stood straight, which was reciprocated by his father. Smiling still, Jungkook walked back to stand next to his husband.

Namjoon was the first to speak as everyone looked back and forth between the person on the throne and Taehyung, who himself looked unaffected.

"Am I missing something Seokjin?"

"Uh," His husband looked equally confused, "I can assure you I've never met him, or slept with him." Namjoon sighed in relief.

That still didn't explain the similarity between Taehyung and Jungkook's Papa.

Ignoring everyone's struck expressions, Arya spoke.

"Jungkook has informed me of what has happened here and I'm afraid I insist upon meddling in this particular affair," Arya glanced towards Jungshin, "regardless of how much it looked like I've ignored your existence in the past."

"So you knew?" Jungshin questioned.

Rest could only look on, confused as ever, just as the readers.

"Of course I did, darling." Arya smirked.

Jungshin fought hard but lost and a blush bloomed on his aged cheeks.

"Now," Arya managed to gather everyone's attention away from his blushing husband, "I suggest we handle this matter precariously as there's lives and relationships involved."

Everyone seemed to agree in silence.

"I have made my judgement."

Except one.

Arya expected that and he knew his husband well, despite the years spent apart from each other.

"Do you really want to rob your son of his lovely husband?" Jungshin protested immediately.

"He has been forgiven."

"And you expect him to be okay losing his family? Taint his life like that?" Arya stood.

"Do you also want Yoongi here to lose his boyfriend?" He gestured towards the shocked kitten.

Jungshin had a second of confusion before he heard a voice from behind.

"Here, yours truly," Taehyung extended his cuffed hand in offer of a handshake, "Yoongi's boyfriend."

Namjoon and Seokjin could only look on in absolute shock. Of course he fell for someone in the enemy territory. Hoseok on the other hand had known about this particular relationship but chose it was none of his business to meddle with.

"Yes he is, please spare him supreme leader." Yoongi moved to stand beside Taehyung.

"And also our child." Taehyung added.

"What?" Yoongi, Hoseok, Seokjin and Namjoon chorused, his parents' voices in a slightly higher tone.

"Yes, I'm pregnant, wanted to tell you that when you dragged me away from my home to lock me up so lovingly." Taehyung rolled his eyes at Yoongi.

Jungshin really wanted to chuckle at the situation the boy was in.

"Oh well, all the more reason to stop acting like barbarians, isn't it Jungshin?" Arya walked down the steps towards his husband.

"You forgive them all, end this whole conquering nonsense and I move back home, what do you say?"

It was a very tantalizing offer, but Jungshin still felt that old wound pulsing within.

"What made you think you can suddenly waltz back into my life now of all times whereas you didn't even look back when you left?"

"And whose fault was that?" Arya seemed exasperated.

"I was only doing my duty-" The supreme leader was cut off.

"Now there is no one commanding you, you're doing this! Everyone's blood is on your own hands," he breached his husband's personal space, "even your own son's. You put him in danger multiple times and used him as a bargaining chip!"

"And now that he has found love and wants a proper life, you're about to ruin that as well."

"I didn't cause these circumstances," Jungshin was visibly angry, "they betrayed us and plotted against us and-"

"You forced their hands Jungshin! They wouldn't have to do that if you never invaded their lands. We've always maintained peaceful relations with them for hundreds of years," Arya sounded disappointed, "Were you really that desperate to find me that you even went as far to conquer them?"

Jungkook narrowed his eyes in realisation as others gasped out at the information.

"So no, I'm not here suddenly now of all times. I'm back because I knew you were at the borders of my refuge and you would plunder them too if I didn't show up here."

Jungshin avoided eye contact with his husband, ashamed of the destruction he had caused. As for his side mission of trying to find his husband whilst carrying out his ancestral dream of conquest, he won't ever regret that. He wanted to find his husband since he had stepped a foot out of his compound. Only thing stopping him then was his father.

Taking a deep and long breath, Jungshin walked past his husband and went to sit on his chair at the podium.

"In light of," he struggled to find words, "light of all this information, I pardon our prisoners on a few conditions of my own," he looked towards said prisoners. Namjoon, Seokjin and Hoseok looked to be wary of the mentioned conditions.

"Taniland merges with Kookmin land and the aristocracy ends."

"We accept." Namjoon quipped.

"I wasn't finished," Jungshin said, "Namjoon, Seokjin and Hoseok will work for us in the form of a lenient sentence."

Seokjin nodded in agreement.

"And as for Taehyung, he is to be immediately wed to Officer Min Yoongi."

"I will!" Taehyung all but beamed, "right after Yoongi apologizes for being a dick."

"I'm afraid I can't help you with that," Jungshin actually chuckled this time and then he looked towards his son and his husband.

"Jimin has already been forgiven and now I offer him the opportunity to leave Jungkook if he so wishes. It was a forced union to begin with, so the choice will be given to you now."

Jungkook's heart skipped a beat but Jimin grabbed his hand and squeezed it reassuringly and held onto it as he spoke.

"Thank you Supreme Leader," Jimin smiled at Jungshin, "I truly appreciate your offer and my decision is to stay with Jungkook." He glanced back towards his husband, who smiled at him with relief.

"As for Arya," Jungshin stood up and proffered his hand, "he is to stay by my side this time and never leave."

Arya cocked an eyebrow in challenge.

"You're not allowed to run a second time, I will endlessly chase you." Jungshin threatened but only sounded adorable so Arya laughed out loud.

He walked up to the podium and took his husband's hand.

"I'll be by your side so long as you choose to be kind to yourself and others."

"I promise I will be." He kissed Arya's hand before he wrapped his arms around him tightly.

He finally felt at peace when Arya hugged him back with equal zeal.

Watching them, Jungkook felt content. Even more so when Jimin squeezed his hand to get his attention.

"Who knew the supreme leader is a romantic, huh?" Jimin whispered conspiratorially and Jungkook smiled.

"Um," Jungshin looked back towards the hall after the hug, aware that they were being watched as if they were characters of a cheesy rom-com, "everyone is dismissed."

At his command, everyone started to exit the hall, murmurs filling up the hall. The general opinion being shock laced with contentment. Frankly, everyone was quite done with the plotting and bloodshed. Peace was the preferred choice, if they ever were given one.

This situation seemed like one to them. All in all, they were looking forward to a peaceful life in Kookmin land.

As the foot soldiers were done removing all the cuffs, Jungkook with Jimin on his arm approached Namjoon, Seokjin and Hoseok. Yoongi along with Taehyung followed in joining them.

"I apologise for shooting you Jungkook." Seokjin bowed down.

"I have already forgiven you, I meant what I said about doing the same if I was in your place," Jungkook smiled, "and I also apologize for deceiving Taemin into marriage, we all did things we wouldn't prefer to."

Seokjin and Namjoon nodded in agreement. They knew Taemin unfortunately fell for Jungkook and refused to acknowledge Jimin's relationship to Jungkook. One of the reasons why he refused to stand in court today. He had already accepted his fate of being executed and didn't want to appeal nor witness any discussion, especially with Jungkook being present there.

"I sincerely apologise for threatening to shoot you," Yoongi bowed down towards Seokjin, "and I know it is asking for a lot right after everything that has transpired between us, but if you will please allow me the opportunity to marry your son, I would be forever grateful."

"You are forgiven for the threat," Seokjin made Yoongi stand up straight," I would do the same if I thought someone close to me is near death because of you," he glanced towards Jungkook, aware that he almost killed the poor boy.

"As for my son, I would have preferred to have known about this in advance," he semi glared at Taehyung, "but seeing as we were busy being enemies, Tae would have been discouraged to share his feelings."

Taehyung nodded slightly with a sad expression. He really would have preferred to tell his papa at the least.

"Regardless, we give you permission to marry our son." Seokjin's words perked up both Yoongi and Taehyung.

"And we wish you to treat him kindly, he deserves it," Namjoon added and ruffled Taehyung's hair, who looked embarrassed by the affection.

"Please allow me to guide you to your rooms," Yoongi gestured towards the exit, "Supreme Leader would be too busy to further instruct on the nature of your jobs so you might as well rest and familiarise yourself with the castle."

"Yes please, guide us," Seokjin said and linked his arms with Namjoon and Hoseok. They followed Yoongi, who also linked his arm around Taehyung and they all left, leaving our main couple to look at them in amusement.

"So." Jungkook said.

"So." Jimin mimicked, facing his handsome and fortunately still alive husband.

"You knew Taehyung was pregnant?"

"Yes, he told me when we were in lock-up…" Jimin was bewildered, "why are you looking at me like that?"

"Aren't you feeling competitive?"

"Competitive about what?" Jimin narrowed his brows in his signature confused expression.

Jungkook rolled his eyes before he bent down and grabbed Jimin's thighs before he heaved his husband up and slung him over his shoulder.

"Yoongi does NOT get to be a father before me, I refuse." With that declaration, Jungkook walked off with Jimin chuckling over his shoulder, amusement bright on his face.

"Aren't you still recovering? Put me down." Jimin smacked Jungkook's ass.

They didn't care about people in the corridors witnessing this particular scenario.

"I am fine," Jungkook retaliated with a smack to Jimin's ass, "besides, I'll never be too injured to make love to my devastatingly handsome husband."

"Stop buttering me, there will be no sex before you're fully healed." Jimin warned with another smack to his ass.

"Ah, yes, it should be lube, not butter." Jungkook clicked his tongue.

"You're so shameless!" Jimin smacked his ass yet again.

Jungkook put him down, finally having enough of the assault on his precious ass.

"Only for you!" He winked and grinned, bunny teeth on full display before he leaned down and pressed his lips against Jimins.

Jimin chuckled mid kisses and then abandoned his thinking ability in favour of mind-blowing tongue action with Jungkook.
