I Am Sorry

(Not proofread.)

Seokjin returned to find his husband sitting on floor, surrounded by his two sons, who seem to be trying to comfort their father. He simply walked towards him and pulled him up before dragging him away, leaving their sons to contemplate on what the fuck is going to happen next.

The King basically dragged his husband behind him and finally shut the door behind them when they entered the King's office.

"He knows" Seokjin said, expression angry.

Namjoon looked at him with raised eyebrows, already slumped against his chair.

"No" his voice cracked, "we should have never taken Taemin along, he took a liking to him" Namjoon said.

"Even if he could have, something is wrong with Jimin, I could see it in his eyes. He is..." Seokjin paused, recalling the helpless look in the poor servant boy's eyes, "...he looks like he's dead inside. Something happened between him and the Commander" he ended as he neared his husband.

"Whatever it is, it must have been Jimin's fault" Namjoon said and buried his fingers into his hair, only to pull on them.

"Are you being fucking serious right now?!" Seokjin lost his cool.

Namjoon looked up at his husband, not understanding why is he mad at him.

"He sacrificed everything for us! For our son! Give him some damn credit" he seethed and Namjoon grit his teeth.

"Didn't quite work, did it?!" He bit back.

"You were the one to plan it!" Seokjin practically screamed at his husband, probably for the first time in this decade. He was being unbelievable.

"That's it!" Namjoon seemed to come to some realisation after his hair-pulling thinking session.

"That's what?" Seokjin followed after as Namjoon moved towards his drawers.

When his husband didn't answer he said,

"Don't you fucking dare do anything ever again without consulting with me!" He reminded him of his previous mistake.

Namjoon sighed and stopped writing on the paper.

"It's not been long since they left, they would be still on our territory, I'll take them out" he answered, seeming sure of his decision.

"You are not taking anyone out!" Seokjin screamed and lurched towards his husband to snatch the paper from him. Namjoon simply moved away and raised his hand high up, paper far away from Seokjin's reach.

"You will not kill Jimin along with them! You can't be that heartless" Seokjin glared at him, not afraid to show his disdain.

"I have no other choice! How else am I supposed to save my son?!" Namjoon finally raised his voice and looked every bit deranged with his wild eyes, laboured breathing and disheveled hair.

"Go ahead then, and do fucking expect the supreme leader of kookmin land to send his hellhound of an army to avenge his son's death. They will even have a head start with their troops already here" Seokjin laid down the facts for his husband.

"We'll fight them! We'll gather more troops, everyone will fight" Namjoon seemed hopeful.

"Good luck then, I won't be by your side anymore" Seokjin turned around to leave, but was immediately stopped by Namjoon's hand on his forearm. Seokjin turned around, ready to have another screaming match but his words stuck in his throat when he saw tears fall down Namjoon's beautiful, sad eyes.

"Don't" his voice sounded defeated, in every aspect.

"I'm just trying to save our son, I just want to keep us all safe" Namjoon slumped and rested his head against Seokjin's shoulder and continued to cry.

Seokjin immediately embraced his husband in a tight hug, rubbing his back and patting down his hair.

"This is not the right way Joonie" his voice confirmed that seeing his husband cry had brought tears to his eyes too. He cupped Namjoon's jaw and made him look at his face.

"You always try to be the best husband and father, but what is more important is being the best King, you have to think of our people, keep them safe" Seokjin explained softly, "it was unfortunate that they attacked and took Taehyung, but we should have sent Taemin when we had the chance, we would have had a good alliance with them."

At those words Namjoon shook his head frantically, crying even more.

"Taemin can't live there! They're bad, he won't last there. He can't" his words started to get swallowed by his sobs.

"No! Look at Jimin! Jungkook had accepted him, he looked happy there. All would have worked well if we didn't trick them" Seokjin pointed out but Namjoon was still adamant.

"We're royals, our lives are filled with sacrifices" Seokjin reminded.

"No, you already sacrificed enough for me, I won't let you lose your son too" Namjoon seemed to travel back to the time they had gotten married.

"We will have to let Taehyung marry too soon! What's the problem with having Taemin marry out? We will have alliances in both marriages! And if you still stupidly fight against this, we'll lose everything Joon, we would have nothing left" Seokjin's eyes conveyed his real fears.

Namjoon finally seemed defeated as he shook his head and slumped down to the floor. Seokjin followed along and held his mess of a husband close to his heart.

"It will all be okay my love" he kept whispering as he kissed Namjoon's tear stricken face over and over again.

Meanwhile:

Jimin looked out of the open window of the Jeep, tears falling freely and the cold night air licked them off, almost comforting him.

He expected many things, many horrible things, but not this. He didn't expect Jungkook to wipe out all his efforts and have Taemin in the end anyway. He truly felt defeated. He no longer wished to breathe. His duties were in vain. Nothing held any importance for him.

He slightly turned his head to look towards the Commander, who too was looking out of the window, stance as tense as a compressed spring. His fists stayed clenched in his lap. Jimin felt sorry for him. He knew he wasn't at fault. He was tricked, and he was the one who did it. He could no longer expect any kindness from Jungkook. Yet, he wished deeply for him to just forgive him, forget everything. He won't ever say those words, he knows he doesn't have the right, but his heart hoped. Hoped greatly that everything settles itself and out of the dust, he could see himself being back at kookmin land, Jungkook by his side.

He smiled forlorned to himself.

"Wishful thinking."

Looking away, back out of the window, Jimin prayed the King dutifully sends the Prince, and Jimin would personally make sure the prince stays safe and protected. He won't let Jungkook cast his anger onto Taemin. It was all his fault, not Taemin's.

Yet another fear lurked at the back of Jimin's mind. He wished and prayed that Jungkook doesn't kick him out of kookmin land now that he would have Taemin. No, he wasn't jealous, he was sure. He just didn't want to leave the castle. Many times he feared Jungkook would push him out. His heart broke when he was told to shift to another room. He knew if Jungkook didn't have to pretend everything is okay with them in front of the kookminers, he would surely kick him out of the castle, or worse, kill him off.

He was going to have to just suck it up and do his new duties: do as Jungkook says, and take care of Taemin.

Few Days Later, At The Kim's Palace:

"I informed them that the kookmin army would be entering their kingdom and taking over the troops. He wasn't happy about losing his kingdom and swore to defend it until death" Namjoon explained to his husband.

They were seated at the office desk in Namjoon's office, brainstorming about the occasions that would occur in the next few days.

"They'll all die" Seokjin said as he rubbed his temple and moved down to bang his head against the table, and as his head was about to connect the table, Namjoon leaned over to place a thick file under his husband's head.

"I did my job to warn them, how it turns out for them is upto them" Namjoon said sighing greatly.

"Taemin" Namjoon said as he saw his son peak out of the doorframe, "come here sweetie" he called him, hand extended.

Said prince walked in and Namjoon got up quickly before he picked up his son and placed him on the desk, between him and his husband. The young prince rolled his eyes.

"You know I can climb up trees at this point" he pointed out and Namjoon chuckled before brushing down his hair, eyes already watering at the fact that he'll have to give away his son.

"What are you doing up sweetie?" Seokjin asked softly.

"I was packing my bags" he simply answered, making his parents tense up.

"You don't have to tell me what to do, I know it is my duty" he looked at both of them, almost glared, "No one even asked me if I wanted Jimin hyung to make this sacrifice for me, I had to piece it together, and it made me feel useless, don't do this to me again" his eyes watered.

At that, the royal couple stood up to hug their brave son.

"You shouldn't have to do this" Namjoon muttered.

"I do, I am 17, I would have to do it anyway" Taemin reminded them of the legal age of marriages.

"You don't absolutely have to marry at 17, at least not like this" Seokjin said and Namjoon nodded.

"I can handle it, don't you guys believe in me?" Taemin questioned, eyebrows scrunched up in offense.

"We do! We do, but, you're so young" Namjoon said, "and sweet, and innocent, and-" Seokjin followed but was cut off by Taemin.

"Enough! I'm going to sleep now, I know we have to make more preparations. Goodnight" he hopped off the table and practically ran away before his parents could drown him in their love and kisses.

Don't get him wrong, he loves them to death, but they over do it. He truly isn't a child anymore. He didn't want to be protected like this all the damn time. He wasn't weak.

"I failed" Namjoon whispered as he looked on as Taemin left. Seokjin sighed and climbed up the table to reach over to hug his husband and comfort him.

Meanwhile, Somewhere Outside:

Taehyung rubbed his shoulders and he tried to keep warm as he waited for his boyfriend in the middle of the forest next to the highway that led to Taniland. His mind kept racing, everything was fucking falling apart.

His ears perked up when he heard a fast vehicle approaching. He moved towards the edge of the road and saw none other than his painfully handsome boyfriend drive towards the side of the road and skid to a screeching halt. Said specimen jumped out and ran towards him and picked him up and Taehyung wrapped his legs around his waist.

"I missed you" Yoongi said each word in between kisses.

"I missed you too" Taehyung said after he pulled back and cupped Yoongi's face.

"Must you always drive maniacally?" He questioned and Yoongi chuckled.

"I don't like being late, especially when it's to meet you" Yoongi answered and Taehyung slid down his body and the soldier immediately held his hand in his own warm one.

They walked in to find a comfortable spot in the forest, only light to guide them was the full moon's. Once in a clearing of flowers both of them sat down, facing each other.

"I apologise for not coming to meet you soon after dinner that day" Yoongi apologised, still holding Taehyung's hand in his.

"It's okay, I knew you were busy" Taehyung smiled at him.

"So, you mentioned in the letter that you wanted to talk about something important?" Yoongi turned serious.

"Yes, I, uh…" Taehyung thought on how to word it. Just like his papa, King Seokjin, he too thought Jungkook had found out about Jimin's true identity, but in order to confirm the same, he would have to tell Yoongi that he knew it all along, which would no doubt end badly. He too is the reason that Yoongi was injured many times, he was the messenger. Although he tried to keep Yoongi from going into war, he was always unsuccessful. He knew his boyfriend held his duty to his country higher than everything else, even his love for Taehyung or himself.

"Your Commander is going to marry my cousin" Taehyung went in, testing the waters.

"Yes, that's weird as fuck" Yoongi replied.

"And unfair towards my brother, he doesn't deserve this" Taehyung couldn't keep out his anger now.

"Well, it is wrong of Jungkook to do, but they seem to have some falling out from what I observed. As is common in marriages" Yoongi explained.

"Oh, so when we have a fight, you'll go and marry someone else because that's the norm" Taehyung glared at his boyfriend.

"Of course not! It's different between you and me. I love you, Jungkook and your brother have an alliance marriage. They don't have the same feelings towards each other as we do" Yoongi's words were firm as he held Taehyung's both hands to assure him.

The prince sighed defeated, damn his boyfriend and his way with words.

"Still, I don't think my brother is happy with this decision" Taehyung looked up at Yoongi, tears brimming.

"Hey, hey, I will talk to Jungkook about it," he wiped off the tears even before they could spill, "although I can't promise to keep him from doing it, I can only ask the reason behind it" he cleared up.

"Okay" Taehyung whispered before his boyfriend kissed him, swallowing his oncoming sobs.

Several hours later, and three rounds of sex, Yoongi dropped Taehyung off near his palace walls and returned to the kookmin castle.

He didn't like poking around in others matters, but the matter at hand was making his love upset, so he had to do his best.

Once he went inside, he walked towards his bedroom, and before he could open his door, his feet urged him towards Jungkook's office wing in the opposite direction.

He turned the handle and surprisingly the door opened and Jungkook looked up at him, eyes decorated with eyebags.

"What are you doing here?" The Commander questioned, continuing to write sentences here and there as he turned the pages.

"Felt like you would be in here, so popped in to see how you are doing" Yoongi said as he took a seat in one of the chairs.

"Did you take drugs? You met me hours ago when you gave the reports" Jungkook reminded him with a deadpan expression.

"Well, you looked bad even then" Yoongi cocked his head. Jungkook simply nodded, eyes on the papers.

"The whole second marriage thing, it has got to do with your husband and you fighting or something right?" Yoongi went straight to the point and Jungkook's head whipped up, eyes fixed on Yoongi.

"Your lover made you ask that, didn't he?" Jungkook questioned, jaw tight, indicating his displeasure at his friend's action.

Yoongi was about to protest as he opened his mouth to answer.

"Don't even try denying, your face screams I fucked someone's brains out and your hickies testify for the same" Jungkook pointed towards his neck with his pen.

Yoongi looked down and sighed.

"Yes, he did. He thinks you're being unfair towards his brother, and I agree with him" Yoongi said and Jungkook set his pen down to rub his eyes. He didn't like lying to Yoongi and this shit was so deep that it would get his friend hurt too. So he kept choosing to hide it.

"Yes, we had a falling out, which is no one's business, and as for the marriage, it's to form an alliance with Graceland, we'll need their ports and army to set out of the continent, expand beyond it" Jungkook wasn't completely lying as his father had actually declared expansion beyond their homeland continent.

"Okay" Yoongi nodded, "try to make up with your husband at least, he looks sad all the time" he got up to leave.

"Well, it is all upto him" Jungkook answered to Yoongi's back as he left the office.

Like fuck it was, he wasn't forgiving him.

The very next day, Yoongi met up with Taehyung to explain what he found out and the prince seemed to get even more upset.

"What the fuck is wrong with everyone?!" Taehyung started to pace around the clearing, their usual place.

"Why can't you be satisfied with what you have?! Just fucking live and let live!" He turned towards his boyfriend now.

"Firstly," Yoongi raised his hand, "I am not the one to make these decisions, and secondly, if I refused to do my duty, I would have never met you" and once again, Taehyung sighed, annoyed with his boyfriend.

Yoongi too sighed and neared Taehyung to engulf him into a hug. Kissing his head, he placed his chin atop it and breathed in his natural fragrance.

"I'll try to get them to make up, maybe your brother can stop Jungkook from marrying your cousin. As for the expansion, only the Supreme Leader can stop it" he said and Taehyung looked up at him.

"Where do I find this Supreme Leader?" He questioned and Yoongi's eyes widened.

"Fuck no! You are going nowhere near that man" he knew how his boyfriend gets when he's determined.

"No one can make him change his mind" Yoongi said as he once again pulled Taehyung into a hug.

"Challenge accepted" Taehyung vowed mentally. He would put an end to all this nonsense, once and for all.

A Day Before D-day, Evening:

Jimin gathered all his filed reports, ready to take them to Yoongi's office. Since Jungkook was sure Jimin would never leave his territory, he was still allowed to continue his work, which he drowned himself into to forget the fact that he's nearing his imminent death.

He entered with a knock and frowned when he found no one inside. He walked near the desk to place the files, being done he looked around, contemplating if he should just leave now that he's delivered the files or wait until Yoongi returns so he could discuss a few things too.

Outside, Yoongi grinned as he saw Jimin enter his office. He then looked at his watch and another satisfied grin blossomed as he saw Jungkook walking towards his office. As the Commander entered, Yoongi ran towards the door and locked it before either of the spouses could leave.

Inside, Jungkook halted in his footsteps as soon as he saw Jimin seated at one of the chairs, he turned around to leave but the door closed loudly in his face.

"Yoongi! You fucking bastard!" He punched the door and screamed knowing that his friend was right outside and had planned this nonsense since he thought they needed to work out their problems.

At his words, Jimin jumped startled in his seat and stood up to face Jungkook, scared. He had no idea why he was here but he pieced together that they were forced to be in the same room by Yoongi, as said by Jungkook. He also knew the fact that Jungkook wasn't very happy about it.

As for Yoongi, he had ran away as soon he heard Jungkook scream his name. He thanked the gods that his office was in a secluded wing as he favoured his privacy. He exited the wing and closed the main door behind him and locked it, satisfied that no one else could hear or free them until they could sort their shit out.

Inside the office, Jungkook kept screaming his friend's name whilst punching and kicking at the door. Jimin could only shudder and look on as Jungkook managed to bruise his knuckles.

Jungkook moved away and breathed in when he learned his limbs were no match for the thick door. He then pulled out his gun and fired the whole magazine at the lock, then tried to kick it, but the door didn't budge.

"It's made to withstand blasts, it won't break with bullets" Jimin couldn't help but remind Jungkook.

"Oh, you'd know all about it, wouldn't you" his husband turned around and glared at him.

Jimin simply sighed and sat down on his chair, hands fidgeting in his lap. He was actually scared at what Jungkook would do to Yoongi once he opens the door. Undoubtedly, Jungkook hated to be in the same place as him and Yoongi just crossed a line.

In his peripheral vision, he saw Jungkook approach so he tensed up, but the Commander neared him only to pick up the chair beside him and then he watched him flung it towards the door, which broke up into pieces upon impact.

"Fucking hell!" Another kick met the door and Jungkook moved away, breathing heavily.

Realisation hit Jungkook that he wasn't going anywhere and it pissed him off even more.

"Fuck Yoongi and his fucking brain" he thought.

He paced around, thinking about throwing the desk at the damn door to see if it'll break, but then again, who was he kidding. Jimin was right, these doors were made to withstand blasts.

Gritting his teeth, Jungkook went and took the only remaining seat in this office, which to Jungkook's displeasure was Yoongi's, right in front of Jimin. He rubbed his temples and kept glaring at Jimin in disdain, while the latter kept looking at his lap, not once daring to look up.

Time passed and all you could hear was the clock ticking and their breaths, both frantic, one in fear and the other in anger.

Finally, even when he knew he shouldn't, Jimin gathered his wits and looked up, a jolt of fear shocking him to see the intensity at which Jungkook was glaring at him in anger. If looks could kill…

"I am sorry" he whispered and almost immediately Jungkook leaned ahead, palms against the surface of the table.

"Fuck. You" his words dripped with such hatred, Jimin felt like dropping death right then and there.

"Please" he tried, tears freely flowing down.

"Another word and I'll make sure you never speak again" Jungkook threatened menacingly.

And Jimin doesn't know what happened but in the same moment, he felt anger. Felt rebellion.

He looked dead him in the eye and said firmly, hands clenched.

"Even if it is the last thing I say, I am sorry."

As soon as the words left Jimin's mouth, Jungkook stood up in anger and shoved everything off the desk as he screamed.

"You fucking cunt!"

He then climbed over the desk and lunged at Jimin.
