Cupcakes

Next day,
Morning at Jeon HQ:

Jungkook bowed respectfully in front of the leader.

"Sit" Jungshin gestured at one of the chairs near his desk.

"Care to explain why you didn't go through with the plan and had the whole army on-hold only to send them back?" the supreme leader looked every bit displeased with his son.

Jungkook shifted uncomfortably in front of his father. He wanted to tell him everything; everything he discovered, but he knew his father would do this the hard way, he would wage a war, and his pretend husband would be killed mercilessly.

"We're being compromised, it's very complicated…" Jungkook willed himself to chose his words cautiously.

"Is it something to do with my missing advisors?" Jungshin questioned and Jungkook frowned back, momentarily terrified of the fact that his father didn't know he killed his favourite soldiers. Well, not him technically but he stood by as the crime happened.

"They're missing?" Jungkook feigned confusion, knowing full well they're dead and he hasn't produced a sound reason as to why.

Jungshin sighed and pulled open one of his drawers. He procured a parchment and handed it to Jungkook, who promptly read it.

"They ran away?" He cocked his eyebrow.

"What a bunch of bullshit" he knew full well who's behind this.

"Stupid, I know..." Jungshin looked incredulous too, "...my men are looking into it, although if they really wanted to leave this lifestyle I would let them go" he added, face depicting his fatherly love.

Jungkook nodded, since he couldn't think of a proper response, and the fact that they're actually dead.

"So, I believe you're going to handle whatever that is going on?" Jungshin held Jungkook's gaze, challenging his capabilities.

"Yes, you don't have to worry about it" Jungkook nodded, thankful for having his father's trust. Although he worried for when the truth comes out, his father won't be in his favour. Whether it is regarding the Han siblings or his pretend husband.

"You absolute moron" Jungkook reprimanded himself for getting into this mess.

Afternoon,
Jeon Castle entrance:

Jungkook pulled up to his front porch, slightly happy to see his husband standing there with his hands on his waist.

"Why didn't you come home?! You had me worried for no reason!" Jimin accused with a finger pointing in his direction.

"I have no idea what you're talking about Doll" Jungkook got down from his jeep and leaned against it, hands folded against his chest.

"You know full well" Jimin glared, "you didn't even go to war."

"Isn't that what you wanted Doll? I just did what you wanted" Jungkook countered, itching to learn his reactions now that he knows his so called husband's actual intentions.

Jimin sighed in defeat.

"You should have at least come back home instead of making me worry" he said softly, melting Jungkook's conflicted heart.

"Couldn't risk it" he said and Jimin looked up and nodded, not wanting to argue anymore. He didn't like where this was headed.

"Come" Jimin extended his beautiful paw, "I made cupcakes" he smiled blindingly.

"I'm not hungry" Jungkook said while striding away, the words actually hurting himself more than the recipient.

Jimin's eyes teared at the simple refusal and he stared at Jungkook's retreating back. Wiping the lone tear away, Jimin too walked inside, not wanting to give his husband the satisfaction. If he's going to be a bitch, Jimin can be a bigger and better one.

Once inside his office, Jungkook called upon a specially qualified soldier. Meanwhile, he filed an informative file for the soldier to use. When the soldier walked in, she saluted and stood attentively.

"This is the information and I want you to leave right now" Jungkook handed her the file, knowing the short command will be followed thoroughly.

"Yes commander" she bowed and walked away, file clutched in a death grip.

Behind, Jungkook rubbed his temples to dissolve the pounding headache. He knew getting married would be stressful, but never to this extent. Especially now that the man he's married to is a goddamned mole.

On that note, he called for another soldier, who was a lot quicker to come than expected.

"What the fuck goes on in your stupid head?" Jungkook reprimanded his friend, who simply rolled his eyes.

"It worked didn't it?" Yoongi shrugged folding his arms against his chest.

"Well, yes but actually no..." he muttered and got up, "...God that was so fucking stupid of you, but for some reason he slightly believes it..." he looked at Yoongi with a small grin, "...I can't believe how lucky you get sometimes."

Yoongi winked back at Jungkook, glad his 'stupid plan' to copy the Han siblings' handwriting and write a crappy but believable letter and send it to the HQ for the supreme leader.

"There's something else…" Jungkook thought about telling Yoongi but realised it would have drastic effects, considering he's frolicking with the actual Prince.

"How do you tell when someone's pregnant?" He digressed by asking a different question, which had actually stuck in the back of his mind for awhile.

Yoongi first frowned at him and then his eyes widened.

"Did you?" He cocked his eyebrow and Jungkook nodded, "that's what I'm trying to find out" he replied.

"Okay, I don't know much but it's mostly them eating a lot and replusing over certain types of food or smells" he thought over some more, "...and oh! They can't drink alcohol, their body refuses it or something."

Jungkook nodded, mentally noting every point.

"Wait, how do you know all this?" The commander asked and Yoongi simply shrugged.

"Good luck. Do tell me if it's a good news, I'm off" he patted Jungkook's shoulder, surprising the commander with his friendly demeanor.

"Well, that Prince is doing something right" Jungkook thought looking at Yoongi's retreating back.

Dinner time,
Dining room:

Jungkook walked in to see Jimin already seated at the table, eating away without him.

He wordlessly sat next to him on the right side. He then gestured the maids to plate up his food, making a maid rush to finish the task. Although when she placed a plate in front of Jungkook, Jimin swiftly picked it up and placed it away at his left side. The maid panicked while Jungkook simply looked amused. She quickly replaced the plate with another and Jimin took that away too.

"Commander isn't hungry today" he told the maid and continued to eat his dinner, completely ignoring said man's existence.

Jungkook glanced at the maid, who had the sheen of horror on her face. He looked back at his husband and had the slightest smile at his tantrum.

"I am sorry Doll" he said firmly.

Jimin seemed taken aback by his words as he stared at him, he then looked around, silently commanding the maids to leave.

Jungkook was all but impressed by his authority.

"So can I eat now?" He asked noting Jimin's lack of acknowledgement.

He still ignored Jungkook as he cut into his steak.

"Alright, where are those fucking cupcakes" Jungkook asked and Jimin seemed to sigh in satisfaction, he then yelled to be audible to the maids, commanding them to bring the goods.

"If I didn't know better, I'd think you were trying to poison me with these" Jungkook said, licking the chocolate off his forefinger.

Jimin turned his entire body towards him and gaped like a fish out of water.

"Good idea actually, thanking you for suggesting it" Jimin clipped back, voice all but irritated.

"No, I was just joking. My apologies. And earlier on, I was just stressed, I shouldn't have taken it out on you" Jungkook admitted uncharacteristically. He didn't like the way Jimin was hostile towards him. Despite knowing the bitter truth, he wanted to maintain the mirage of obliviousness.

Jimin placed his cutlery down and turned towards Jungkook once again, he was done with his dinner.

"Don't do that again" his tone softened, indicating he was no longer angry.

"I won't" Jungkook smiled, and just like that the commander ate his dinner with a hefty amount of cupcakes at the side, all because he refused to eat them earlier.

Two days later:

Jungkook drove swiftly towards the Taniland border. He was nearing the completion of his little plan and he was both excited and anxious as there was one bit of information that didn't sit well with him. Call it his irrational side that made him so.

Near the designated spot, a woman in a maids dress emerged from the woods, her skirt lifted up to her knees to help her navigate through the thick forest they were in. Jungkook saw her struggle and chuckled, making her look up unamused. Finally she reached Jungkook and saluted. He ordered her to be at ease and then she exchanged the last bit of information that she procured from her mission.

"When can I return Commander?" She asked, her face the epitome of exhaustion.

"Is it that unbearable?" Jungkook countered with a frown.

"No, it's just too..." she made a grimace for lack of a better word and Jungkook chuckled amusingly.

"Tolerate it some more, I have one last thing to clear up, then it's done" he put his hands in his pocket to retrieve his keys, ready to return back home, to his pretentious husband.

"Why can't we just inform the supreme leader?" She questioned considering the gravity of this situation.

"No, I am going to handle it on my own" Jungkook's tone left no space for argument and the soldier nodded in acknowledgement. She then went back in the direction she came and Jungkook too left for his jeep.
