A Walk In The Garden

Yoongi halted the jeep at the castle entrance, which was decorated for the new groom. Jimin once again sighed to himself. He heard Jungkook get down and could see him walk towards Taemin's side of the door to open it for him. Meanwhile, Yoongi didn't budge, looking at the newlyweds and Jimin back and forth. He knew Jimin needed his company.

Jungkook wound his hand around Taemin's waist and led them up the entrance stairs. He halted and looked back to see Yoongi and Jimin still seated in the jeep, the traitor looking at his feet while Yoongi kept glaring at him.

"Retire to bed, tomorrow is a big day" he ordered and Yoongi rolled his eyes as Jungkook disappeared inside the entrance.

"Want to go for a drive?" Yoongi asked Jimin, once again placing his hand on the young prince's hand to get his attention.

"I don't think I'm allowed to" Jimin looked towards him and laughed dryly.

"A walk then?" He cocked his eyebrow," pretty sure you're allowed to be in the garden" he added and Jimin sighed again.

"You must be exhausted" he said and Yoongi chuckled.

"Aren't we all?" He removed his seatbelt and unbuckled Jimin's too, "come, let's go" he got down and Jimin couldn't help but relent to the kind gentleman.

'Tae found a gem' he thought with a smile.

♦ Upstairs, Jungkook's bedroom:

"You can go change in there," Jungkook pointed to the adjoining room, "that's the bathroom," he pointed next to that door.

"Can I please go sleep in my cousin's ro-"

"No" Jungkook firmly cut Taemin off with a stern face.

"You are expected to sleep here," he pointed to the king sized bed, "be up and dressed at 7 AM" he ordered and Taemin nodded before he walked out.

'Meanie' Taemin thought as he looked at Jungkook's back.

Once out of his bedroom, he closed it behind him and silently padded towards the inner most corner of the wing, he then stood outside the door, ears eager to pick any sound. He expected to hear cries of regret, pain, or just plain chaos. But he was met with a silence of disappointment.

Jimin wasn't in his room. It irked him. He grinded his jaw when he realised something. Quickly, he walked down a floor to the open balcony, which overlooked the garden. There he looked around for the duo he knew would be present there. He breathed in with great annoyance when he saw them walking on one of the trails at the far eastern side of the garden. He folded his arms and stood there, just watching them in anger and disappointment. The latter of course for his friend, who sadly was oblivious to Jimin's reality. Otherwise he wouldn't be giving emotional support to the mole.

Several minutes later, the duo neared the castle and Jungkook could clearly see their faces. To his utter displeasure, both of them were smiling and laughing along. Jungkook hadn't seen Jimin look so lively since that night. The amount of rage and jealousy caused physical pain in his heart. He felt almost compelled to run down, drag Jimin up to throw him on his bed and just fuck him into oblivion.

But obviously, he would never give in to such trivial pursuits. For him the only thing that mattered was loyalty to his country and doing everything in his power to maintain its existence. This tiny, tantalizing demon from hell won't be able to lure him off his path.

"Fuck" he muttered and went back inside to light a smoke. He walked back up and opened his bedroom door, momentarily startled to find a young boy sitting in his bed, with an open book in his lap.

"I thought you won't return to bed" Taemin smiled embarrassingly.

Oh yes, he married this boy a few hours ago, Jungkook recalled. 'Fuck you Jimin' he thought.

"Go to sleep" he said sternly and went to his office and locked the door behind him.

Taemin realised that's the one room he should absolutely stay away from and lied down, book placed away at his bedside table. He couldn't help but think how this must be Jimin's place and what the ever kind angel was doing at the moment.

Meanwhile downstairs, Yoongi and Jimin reached the huge staircase that led to the upper floors.

"Allow me to walk you to your room?" Yoongi gestured with his hand to escort Jimin upstairs.

"No," Jimin giggled, "it's okay, I can go by myself, you should retire to bed too" Jimin smiled at his new best friend. He knew Yoongi's bedroom was here at the ground floor but he was being an absolute gentleman by wanting to drop him off to his door.

"As you wish" Yoongi saluted before walking away with a full grin, wondering what the fuck is wrong with Jungkook for ignoring this adorable human.

♦ Next Morning :

Jimin awoke with renewed determination to follow his duties and dressed well before walking down for this special breakfast that Jungkook planned.

In the hallway, he ran into Yoongi, who too seemed to walk towards the dining room. They greeted each other and entered the hall.

Jimin was surprised to see Jungkook had left the head seat empty and had sat at Taemin's side purposely, and on the other hand, Jungkook was even more irked to see both Yoongi and Jimin walk in together and sit next to each other.

Their seating arrangement:

        Taemin      Jungkook

      ////////////Table//////////////

         Jimin          Yoongi

"Didn't I tell you to retire to bed early?" Jungkook glared at Yoongi, giving a glance at Jimin too in disdain. He knew they had stayed up late into the night.

"Well, good morning to you too, and weren't you supposed to be the ones who hasn't slept a wink? But looking at your husband, it looks like you were the only one who stayed up all night" Yoongi emphasized the word husband.

Taemin coughed, cheeks red and mortified at what Yoongi insinuated. Jimin looked at Taemin and kicked Yoongi under the table, the latter lowly ow'ed in pain, looking at Jimin in question.

Jimin looked at Jungkook, his eyes seemingly on fire, trying to burn his very soul out of existence. He looked down and swiftly shoved his fork off the table, making it drop with a series of clinks.

"Oops, I'll get it," Jimin said and Yoongi too at the same time said: "Oh, I'll get it for you," ending in both of them bending down to pick it up.

Once down Jimin whispered, "please stop provoking him," and Yoongi rolled his eyes, "he's the one who started it, but okay" he picked up the fork and sat up, flashing a huge smile at Jungkook, who looked on blankly.

"Sorry about that" Jimin too sat up and whispered.

Meanwhile Taemin wondered if Jimin was having an affair with this other guy, which seems to be the reason why he had to marry Jungkook now. He's surely going to ask Jimin once he meets him in seclusion.

With that, they started eating the special breakfast, and Jimin wondered if Jungkook would show Taemin off as he did with him. Deep down he wished he didn't do that. He couldn't imagine Taemin with him like that. He surely didn't want to imagine what may have happened last night. He blocked those thoughts off immediately.

"Huh?" He looked at Yoongi as the officer nudged him.

"I asked how is the preparation coming along?" Jungkook caught his attention, his stern expression seemed to have set in stone at this point.

"It is all on schedule" Jimin answered happily, smiling.

"Any inadequacies?" Jungkook pressed and Jimin shook his head.

"None at all" he answered.

"Um, what preparations?" Taemin butted in, directing his question at Jimin.

"My father's birthday, it is in a few days" Jungkook turned his head towards Taemin and answered with a soft smile before Jimin could answer.

Jimin wanted to roll his eyes, but refrained.

"Let me drop you off to the village office on my way to the base" Yoongi said to Jimin, loud enough so Jungkook could hear and stop smiling at his blushing new husband.

"He has his own Jeep and a driver" Jungkook butted in once again, interrupting Jimin even before he could open his mouth.

"Maybe he wants to go with me?" Yoongi cocked his eyebrow.

"It's okay Yoongi, Jungkook will drop me off" this time Jimin beat Jungkook to it.

"Yes, you should" Taemin agreed and Jungkook glared at him.

"Sorry" Taemin whispered as he looked down, embarrassed.

"Very well, get your coat" Jungkook dropped his cutlery and stood up, his chair scraping against the stone as he pushed it behind.

Before Yoongi could argue that Jimin hasn't even finished his breakfast, he too stood up to go get his overcoat, feeling a bit guilty that Jungkook didn't finish his breakfast either.

As the duo left, Yoongi grinned at his plate, happy that Jungkook unintentionally agreed to spend a little time with Jimin.

♦ In The Jeep:

Jimin looked out of the window, recalling how when he reached outside, he was caught off guard to see Jungkook had kept the front seat door open, subtly hinting at him to sit beside him. Maybe he was overthinking it and his gesture meant nothing.

He looked towards Jungkook and noticed how hard he clutched the steering wheel that his fingers looked pale. He felt the need to reach out in some way to calm him, but how, he didn't know.

"Stop spending time with Yoongi" Jungkook glanced at Jimin, tone close to a warning.

"Why?" Jimin dared.

"Why?!" Jungkook hit the brakes, halting the jeep abruptly, "you think I'm fucking stupid, huh?!" He barked into Jimin's face.

"Just because you can no longer get any information from me, don't grope him with your filthy hands" Jimin braced himself to be spat on his face, that's the only thing missing, he thought.

"I wasn't planning on-"

"He doesn't know the real you, if he did, he would shoot you in a heartbeat" Jungkook's eyes relayed how serious he was.

"Why don't you then?" Jimin asked, frustrated.

"I'm not as trigger happy as him, but when the time comes, I surely will" with that Jungkook set the vehicle into motion.

Jimin simply looked back outside, blocking away all the pain he felt at Jungkook's words.

Once inside on the streets of the village, Jimin noticed the lack of decoration, meaning that Jungkook wasn't going to show off Taemin as a trophy. He sighed, a bit happy. His heart started beating irregularly once more when Jungkook stopped in front of his office and got down, already walking inside his office. He too followed after, and heard Jungkook ask how things were around and then he walked along to his office room.

Jimin stood near his desk and waited as Jungkook seemed frozen at his doorway. He didn't like how unpredictable Jungkook was, how his face never gave away his thoughts, except when he was angry. You could get burned instantly with that kind of rage.

"I'll come to pick you up in the evening" with that, Jungkook turned around and left.

Jimin squinted at his gradually disappearing husband, confused as fuck.
