- Too much memorization
Although some may argue tests are a good form of evaluation, most of the time they are just seeing if you can memorize useless facts that are not very useful for the future, however, they should use different questions that are application-based questions for a better evaluation of the student.
(Even if you have to remember useless facts, it is still better than remember nothing. To have something in ur head is still better than having nothing)
- Tests are poor.
Testing is a very poor way of determining how intelligent a person is. The whole education system is so enamored with absorbing facts that we never learn how to think critically, just how to be a dumpster full of random facts and tests play into that problem. Open discussion of subjects and group discussion instead of tests would be helpful.
(But if we don't test them, we will never know whether they study or not, and in discussions, it can be usually seen that not all students participate in them, and students discussions do not always help)
- Examination brings negative effects to students.
Examination brings more negative effects than giving more positive effects to students. Firstly, "over-testing" will also cause children to have stress. In most of the schools, students will be sitting for more than four examinations in a year and that can be so stressful to students.
(Just focus on that students can arrange time to learn and have more comfortable time to rest . They do not need to learn all the knowledge that just focus on each part in the exam)
- Assessment gives better explanations to students
The advantage all learners can have by having teachers assess them is that assessment gives better explanations to students. So that learners will be able to understand clearly and quickly on what they have learnt after doing all the assessments.
(Just listen, not practice,t hey will forget the teacher's assessment after a while . The examinations help them write down what they have learnt, to help inculcate that knowledge and provide opportunities to practice)"
