The next morning I woke up to an empty bed next to me. Slowly I get up and searched for Niall in our room but he wasn't there. For a minute I thought this all was just a dream but then someone opened the door. "Hey, since when are you awake?" Niall came in and had a small smile on his face. "For like a minute maybe. Where have you been?" I looked on the clock next to my bed and it was only 8am. "I always wake up way earlier than anyone else so I walked around the hospital a little" he shrugged. "You could have just woken me up, I could have shown you everything" He shook his head. "You looked so peaceful while you were sleeping, I didn't want to wake you" This made me smile. I got up from my bed, going to the bathroom to get changed. When I looked in the mirror, my reflection sort of frightened me. Plus, Niall had seen me like this. Great. I won't sugarcoat it, I looked horrible, as if I haven't been sleeping for like a month. I heard a nurse coming in, probably with our breakfast and some medicines.

"Morning Niall, where's Sienna?" 

"She's in the bathroom, getting changed and stuff, I guess"

"I see. Do you guys get along well?"

"Yeah, she's a really nice girl. I like her"

This feeling was mutual. When he said these words, I got quite a weird feeling in my stomach. 

After I finished, me and Niall were eating breakfast together and were talking about random things again. "My friends will visit me today, is this ok for you?" "Yes sure, just tell me when they'll come and I'll leave you guys alone" He gave me a look. "No, stay. I want them to meet you, too" Actually I wanted to meet them, too. I was kinda interested in what people Niall hung out with. "Are you sure about that?" There was some concern in my voice but he just smiled at me. "Yes, I'm sure they'll like you" That made me smile, too. "Fine, I'm staying. When will they come?" He looked on his watch. "In like 2 hours" To be honest, I was quite nervous. But on the other hand I didn't think a guy like Niall could have some nasty bastards as his friends. At least he had some, not like me. 

After two more hourse of talking, watching TV and going for a walk in the garden his friends knocked on the door. It didn't take Niall longer than two seconds to jump off his chair and open the door. You could tell he was excited, which was pretty cute. "Hey guys!" he almost yelled and hugged four boys who appeared to be his friends. They were excited to see Niall, too, they were all wearing huge smiles on their faces when they saw him. "Come in, this is my room neighbour Sienna" he said as they came in and looked at me. I stood up and walked in their direction. A tall boy with curly hair greeted me first. "Hi, nice to meet you, I'm Harry" he said while shaking my hand and smiling at me which exposed his deep dimples. Next was a guy called Louis, then there was Liam and lastly Zayn who was a little quieter than the others. They were all really nice and not very shy at all. Louis was talking the whole time, sometimes about things happening at school, sometimes he just did some silly jokes which made Niall crack up everytime. Niall had a beautiful loud laugh which filled up the whole room. Normally it was really boring in the hospital but he had such a happy attitude that made you immediately feel a lot better. Liam and Harry were asking me a question about me every once in a while we were sitting there. I tried to show them my best side and not to seem too awkward.  But I think, or at least hope, the first impression wasn't too bad. 

"Oh and did you know that Zayn just got a girlfriend recently" Louis screamed across the room. "What? Ay congrats, bro, tell me about her" Zayn just sat there, seeming quite annoyed by Louis' big announcement. "I don't know what to tell you" "What's her name? How did you guys meet? Does someone have a picture?" Of course Louis was already searching on facebook while Niall was speaking and showed him the picture of her. "Her name is Perrie" he added. Zayn got more annoyed every second. "Leave the poor boy alone" I said with a small smile, trying to end this quite weird situation for Zayn when he turned to face me. "Thanks, Sienna" he said. The others gave in and I guess he was pretty glad this finally came to an end.

After an hour, the boys hugged me and Niall before they left again. "And - do you like 'em?" he asked me in his Irish accent. I nodded. "They're really nice" We smiled at each other. "I think they like you, too. Especially Zayn after you freed him from this girlfriend-situation" he said laughing. "To be honest, I felt quite sorry for him" "Louis always teases Zayn, I think he's used to it" he chuckled. "Are they gonna come and visit you often?" He shook his head, looking sadder now. "No, they're staying here for a week because they have holidays in Ireland right now. Then they'll fly back to Mullingar again, it's just an exception this time" His smile left and he looked out of the window when he finished his sentence. I think he's getting homesick. "Well, I am here" I tried to cheer him up but I knew that in your first few weeks in the hospital nothing could really cheer you up. But he gave me a small smile though and he seemed a little happier. "I know" He looked at me for a second and then out of the window again. "Would you like to spend some more time with us this week?" "I'd be more than happy to" I replied and then a short moment of silence followed. 

"Sienna?" I looked at him.

"Yes?"

"I'm really happy that you're here"
