i know i haven't uploaded in ages but i'm trying to write more often now, please leave some feedback so i know if you guys like it or not and how you want the story to go on x

I woke up this morning as a nurse came in. "Morning Sienna!" she whispered. I groaned, still tired. I haven't slept that well that night, I was thinking about my new room neighbour the whole time. To be honest, I was quite scared. "Are you excited for your new neighbour?" You could say that. "I'm quite nervous" I answered quietly. "No need to be. He will be here in one hour so get changed and put these things away over there, make a good first impression" she smiled. So it was a boy. I guess that was a good thing, now there's no need to be worried that a barbie will move in here. But i was still very nervous. 

After the nurse left, I made my way to the bathroom to get ready. For some reason, I wanted to look good today. I wasn't the type of girl who always dressed up and knew how to use make-up and this kind of stuff. But there's always a first time, right? I picked out a blouse with a cute flower print and a pair of skinny jeans and after that I did my hair. Well at least, I tried. As I said, I didn't know that much about this stuff so I was just trying to do a nice side braid how the other girls always did. 

I was really thinking too much about it. What if he was a complete nerd? But at the same time he could be a good looking, nice guy. Whatever, Sienna. I looked on my watch, in like ten minutes he would already be here. I've never taken that long in the bathroom before, like ever. It was quite ridiculous, I never really cared about the people's opinions about me. But I guess they didn't care about me either. Maybe I wanted it to be different now, being unnoticed your whole life isn't really the nicest way to live, you know.

*Few minutes later*

Suddenly I heard a knock on the door and the nurse's voice again. "Sienna, your new neighbour is here" As she walked in with him, I was quite .. surprised. In a positive way. In front of me there was standing a blonde guy with blue eyes like I've never seen them before. They were sparkling blue, not light blue, not dark blue, not only blue, they were like fireworks. The situation was quite weird because at first I was so into his eyes that I completely lost myself .. and my mouth, too. "Sienna, are you ok?" I quickly shook my head to wake me up from my daydreaming. "Uhm, what? Yes, yes. Hi, nice to meet you" I said, turned to him and smiling. He had a cheecky grin on his lips while replying "Nice to meet you, too. I'm Niall" 

After this sort of awkward getting to know each other, the nurse had left again and it was quiet in our room. Niall was putting things out of his bag and I didn't really know what to say or what to do, to be honest. "So, uhm, tell me something about you" This was pretty much the only thing that came to my mind in that moment. He turned around so he could face me. "Well, what do you wanna know?" I shrugged my shoulders. "Where are you from, how old are you, why are you here, .." He smiled, continuing to unpack his bag. "I'm 17 and I'm actually from Mullingar but they brought me to this hospital because they said only the doctors here could help me. The doctors in my hometown have found something which they aren't really sure about what it is, I don't really know." Then he looked at me again. "What about you?" When I started telling him about myself, his gaze didn't leave my eyes. For some reason, it didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. It made me feel like he really cared about what I was saying. He didn't even interrupt me once. After I finished, he was quiet for a second. "Are you optimistic?" he then asked me. "My parents are" "I asked about you" This question wasn't fair. "I can't answer that" "Why not?" He was persistent. "Okay well, actually I don't trust the doctor's words most of the time. I don't wanna get my hopes up only to get disappointed in the end" He didn't say anything, he just smiled at me. "What is it?" I asked, unable to suppress a small giggle. He just shooked his head. "You're interesting"

I didn't know what it was with this Niall guy but he was just different. The first night we stayed up a little longer, talking about random things in our lives. There was something about him that made me trust him within a second. Slowly I started feeling quite lucky that he got to be my room neighbour. I shouldn't have been worrying so much. But who could have known that it would end up like this? Wait, I'm already talking about "the end" but really, this was only the beginning.
