“Where is Emma’s room?!”  demanded kevin.

“Sir, you can’t visit right now, any patients in this section.” Said the woman at the frond desk of the emergency section.

“then when do we visit?” I asked impatiently

After we reached the nearest hospital to emma’s house, we ran straight to the emergency section, the woman at the front desk looked like she didn’t have enough coffee today and that’s none of my business.

“What’s the last name for… er… emma?” said the woman at the front desk. I glanced at her name tag, it said Chloe Anderson.

“Peters” replied kevin.

“Mrs peters… uhh actually Mrs peters was brought to the emergency section yesterday, I’d hate to break it to you, but I just received a report an hour ago with the dead cases,” said chloe, she opened the report and showed to me and kevin, “look, Mrs Peters is dead.”

I gasped.

Kevin stared into space.

Just when I was about to helplessly start crying, I hear a girl sobbing from behind. I looked behind me and gasped, “emma!!”

Emma and her dad looked at me surprised. “C-C-Celina what are you doing here?” asked emma

Everything clicked into place at that moment. I ran to hug emma, I know the feeling of loosing a parent.

“oh, im so sorry Em, I cant believe it, I wish I was there with u comforting u” I tried comforting emma

She looked at me with the ‘you know?’ look.

Kevin stood bevind me looking at his feet, he didn’t know what to do in these kind of situations, both his parents were alive.

“may I know how she died?” asked kevin, which was an odd question at that time.

“no one knows but she was in the nerby forest picking some wild berries, then she came home, there was nothing suspicious, but then after about 2 hours, she started sweating and shivering, and she collapsed, we took her here, the doctors said they found claw marks on her left leg, the cause is unknown.” Replied emma’s dad.

“claws… and a full moon… not good things at all” I muttered under my breath

“we’re holding the funeral tomorrow, it would be nice of you, if you helped us.” Said emma’s dad.

Kevin and I nodded.

“hold on a second, first I thought it might be a street cat or dog, but then I remembered reading a report on runaway abnormal wolves, the wolves appear each month for 2 days and then disappear, no hunters have been able to hunt it because of the irregular times they appear in, and they are pretty dangerous, they attack people using their claws which are dipped in deadly poison, each month one person either disappers or is killed,” Said kevin “my dad told me that one of his subordinates disappeared in the forest while trying to hunt down the wolves, I think they called the wolves ‘Night Hunters’”

“so… mom was killed by… wolves.” replied emma
