Eadith is a slightly above -average- in - height woman , with a muscular toned mesomorphic semi- hourglass build . Her skin is creamy white , with freckles kissing her cheeks , and shoulders like settled scattered stars . Her face is rather ethnic in appearance - heart shaped - with high high cheekbones and full lips , a sloped button nose  large milk green eyes rimmed by thin but visible lashes - and thick eyebrows .
Her long  hair is a deep pigmented Irish orangey-red . Like that of copper and rust - with fluffy curtain bangs.
Her eyes used to be a milky jade green  but after her accident - they remain now a pale foggy grey

Eadith in her Avatar body, is tall and slender like the species , with the matching leith aethletic build . She somewhat resembles her human form in this , with her high heart shaped face  and cheekbones , her lip and eye shape , her curtain bangs , her slight Irish accent that followed her the way Jake's Australian accent followed him, - however not everything is the same .
Gone , are her rust locks - traded for long black silky hair, with her same long fluffy curtain bangs - bangs would end up braiding back
Gone , are her sightless seastorm eyes - now replaced by large vibrant golden- green ones that see at a level she didn't think possible .

Her markings are the standard ones that all the navi people have - the tigar stripped pattern that outline her faceshape - and blends in with all the blues along her belly
Everything is illuminated by her bioluminescent freckles that kiss her cheeks , nose and Forhead .

Just one but it's old and faded like a memory against her skin .
Her and her friend got matching line-art vines when she turned 17 .- her's branch in fine thin lines from her hip, curling elegantly along her thigh, calf - to the top of her foot.
This was done to celebrate their last year of being able to do whatever they wanted - both girls having had been in basic training all through highschool .

It's a very thin piece and she can't see it anymore . She tends to forget she has it unless someone points it out

Eadith  has many piercings - mainly on her ears .
Her left ear is pierced twice  on the lobe and once on the cartilage
Her right ear is pierced twice on the cartilage , twice on the lobe , once on the helix , she has an industrial bar on her cartilage , and one on her daith- however most of these have closed because she lost track of where they were on her body .
She mainly wears her two lobe piercings and the cartilage ones because she remembers their exact placement .

Usually very floral and sweet ,

SINGING CLAIM; @ MALINDA .
She has a rich siren like Celtic voice - her accent coming out most when she sings .
Singing out of emotion isn't her favorite thing in the world , because she doesn't like being emotionally vulnerable like that
However , she enjoys upbeat irons tunes and sometimes at dinner if things are dull she will create a beat with her hands and sing one of them to make people laugh.
She did it at bars a lot or with her old team to have some fun and lighten spirits
She hasn't done it in a long time however
She likes to sing as the hobby -like on earth in karaoke bars or to jump up on a table and sing to make some people laugh - but singing on pandora is so emotional and intimate - it makes her uncomfortable because she doesn't like that level of vulnerability ( see below in trivia )

DOMINANT HAND :

However , within the clan , being ambidextrous
Is normal ( and preferred) , so she had to learn how to use her left hand to shoot , fly and do most things ( which was a / pain /)

ATTIRE:

- Human attire .
After her injury-outfit coordination became difficult and she really couldn't be picky , but thankfully she got used to being on base and wearing clothes that came with that .
Still, she labels what she can with Brail tags and has everything sorted in bins that she has memorized .
(Example : all my green tank tops are in the third bin to the left )
But - she sticks to neutrals ( greens, blacks, tans , grays , burgundies, etc ) ,so even if she does make a mistake - everything pretty much matches .
She prefers turtlenecks , sleeveless tanks , cargo pants , fitted outfits , usually but within the program she sticks to the clothes she used to wear mainly for comfort .

Before her injury she was very eclectic

She wears her old jackets when she's cold
But really the only thing she keeps on her at all times are her dog tags .

Her hair - again she can't really be to picky- but she keeps it in various braids -or up with her bangs loose - it depends on the temperature.

Personality :
A great way to describe Eyda - is the life of the party.
She's very fun and energetic - childish in her wonder and very confident.
She's strong willed and imaginative - a deep rooted hunger for knowledge runs deep within her, Especially if someone doesn't believe in her - because that just means she's going to try harder to not only learn and succeed - but to become better then that person ever imagined she would ever be . ( she's also insanely competitive )

She's a passionate advocate of her own ideas which is why she kept up with a predominantly male work-force . She speaks her mind , and doesn't put up with nonsense - this can sometimes get her into trouble because she  will snap back if she feels something is unfair or someone is being rude. ( this applies to authority)
This brings to another point ,
Eadith  is very protective over her friends , and extremely adoring to them .
she's also perceptive so it's very hard to hide things from her .
There's so much life and spirit in this women - between the intensity that she loves those around her and the passion that fuels everything she does , she's much like a fire .

Now , this  fire , while it's warming - it  isn't always a good thing
Because with all her energy - she can also be impulsive - which means she will do very stupid life threatening things without thinking of the consequences , or how she will get in trouble .
If someone is in danger - she steps up to fight .
It doesn't matter how outnumbered
or how against her the odds are -
she's going to do something to save someone that's her military training
(and her mild saviors complex ..)

WHY:
When she lost her vision- it happened in a tunnel. A car accident right  under a bridge so now her mind associates caves and anything like that - as a darkness that won't leave - considering she entered one and never saw again after .

She doesn't talk about it she just avoids going into closed dark spaces .

Drinks green tea every morning , stretches  to keep up her flexibility , she would work out if she had access to equipment- she does her best to do some planks and stuff in between link sessions ,

She loves listening to music -

BACKSTORY:
Eyda   has always been spontaneous . Growing up in Ireland - she spent a lot of her time exploring the Cliffsides and running breathlessly through rolling windy hills - usually on a whim without much thought or caution .

It was often a running joke within her family, That she was born of the wind and waves , the storms and rolling hills , that she wasn't fully of this world at all.
It didn't matter how hard the storms would shake the house or how grey and cold the sky got - her little Eadith was always / always / outside - / feeling/ everything . An active child - who spent her time spontaneously running through the endless stretching planes - or dangerously toeing the edges of great cliff sides - peering down past her tangled red hair to see the crashing violent waves just a half step away- almost daring the wind to let her fall -
It was a fire in her - a fire to move to be active - to touch the sky - . A fire to / live /. A fire that was shown the day she took her first deep breath as a premature child - born early yet without any need of assistance - lungs perfect and determined to work without help .

For a second , her mother was worried this .. passion would dissolve the second they left Irish soil .. but she couldn't have been more wrong . From the second Eyda arrived in America the first words out of her mouth were -
' can I explore !?'
No empty lot or backroad went undiscovered
. She played with the Neighborhood kids - joining in on games even if she's never played them before
That was her attitude . ' if I don't know I'll just learn and then become the best '

That attitude followed her into middleschool/ when she dolphin dove in and out of sports and clubs regularly - from track - baseball to
Vollyball- if it involved running and some kind of prize - she wanted to participate .

I say all of that to say- when she got into highschool and wanted to nosedive into the ROTCprogram - really all her mother said to her father was
' you owe me 50 bucks "

Now - Eyda isn't all jock . She had an intense love for learning and school - she always will . However - she seemed to really heavily enjoy life classes . Anatomy , all the sciences , health , biology - especially the interactive labs . She was never squeamish to injury- or blood - she was always the first in line to do all the gross stuff -
So - nurse , paramedic - those careers were things her mother was kinda assuming her daughter would pick ...

" mom. I'm going into the army "

Was the phrase that about near made the woman spit her coffee out .
Her daughter - other then ROTC - never seemed to take an interest in the military - but apparently she had been doing independent research/ and found out about army nurses and pilots - how she could fly a helicopter and take care of wounded soldiers - how she could be used both medically and in the air interchangeably if she learned both skills -
How it accommodated her desire for adrenaline rushes and her desire to help
People . Of course this was very mature of her ... but it scared the absolute hell out of her as well- her own daughter in the line of fire !? That would frighten any mother ...

But she for some reason always had a peace with it . I mean .. her youngest daughter was always the bravest .. she just didn't know how far this bravery would go .

Either way the choice was made and off to basic training she went.
This was around the time her and her friends got matching tattoos - kinda like a final hurrah before their bodies were soon not going to belong to them .

She dropped any sports she did and focused just on this - because Eyda knew she had a lot to learn - between flight school,all the trauma and medical courses , time in the field - there were so many boxes that needed to be checked ...
And she checked every Single one of them step by step until the day came when she packed up allll her belongings and enlisted

Now , right after she graduated bootcamp-
space travel had become alot bigger of a thing - but
And the whole ' Pandora mission ' was still kinda on the down low
That being said - there was an option that- after your contract ends  - you could join this program- have an avatar made / and work to offer your skills to the military up there
And we'll, as her track record showed - Eyda once again went
' why not '
signed up ....
And then promptly forgot

All 4 years of her service went well and honestly - she was certainly
Planning to do this for the rest of her life.
She flew many tours - many helicopters , bonded with an incredible team - set up camp on war fronts , carried wounded and soldiers-

She did it all- any opportunity to learn something new - she did . She even did a course with the navy where she got to spend some time on an aircraft carrier but that was during one of her leaves .

Now you'd think this is when I tell you about how she lost her sight
That she bravely put herself in harms way for a dying soldier , that she sacrificed herself for the
greater good ..
But that was not the case
No . The Fateful day occured
After - she came home from deployment.
She was driving from the airport on her way to see her family and suprise them .... When - while under a bridge - a drunk driver swerved into her lane and rammed the person behind her - who accelerated and slammed right into her car - causing her to spin and hit the person infront -

While other cars kept hitting them and her - the impact happened from behind -lurching Eyda forward from her seat- straight through her own windshield- the glass shredding her face and eyes .
She wasn't wearing a seatbelt - it slipped her mind to click it into place
Between the head injury and the glass - her eyes all but  done for.

Her eyes ... her career ...... her life .

And then She woke up
around the same time a man beside her was coming too .
A man who has just lost the use of his legs .

RECOVERY/INDUCTION INTO THE AVATAR PROGRAM :
Recovery was ... very hard on Eadith . She had to relearn a lot and when her senses sharpened - she had to get used to it .
During this period she spent a lot
Of time in nature - learning the sounds , and feelings of it
She learned how to read in braille and even got her own seeing eye dog - who she sadly had to leave behind on her journey .
Speaking of -
It was in the middle of physical therepy that the call came in- saying that her avatar was ready
She had totally forgotten what that even was - vaguely remembering it was something that delt with space .
Nevertheless no sooner had she remembered - people showed up at her door and whisked her off much like they did Jake

However when Quaritch saw her - specifically, saw that she was blind - he realized she was going to be useless - especially since he only hired her for her ability to fly .
He didn't care that the avatar body would give her her eyes back ... he needed her as a human to be able to see the aircrafts
So she was handed over to Grace - who was not pleased,
However - Eyda explained that - while she had Ariel training, that wasn't her main job. In the end - she was a medic and even if she was blind - she would still be able to set a bone or stitch a cut
/ her medical knowledge was probably the only reason Grace let her stay which was fine /

Mushu was Eyda's seeing - eye dog who helped her through recovery- However she wasn't able to take him to Pandora - so she made the hard choice to leave him behind. Her mothers vision has perpetually failed in her old age - so he was still able to keep up his training with the woman .

TRIVIA:
- she has a strong sense of smell and very good hearing - these amplified after she lost her sight . She also feels things differently when it comes to touch.
These conditions aided her in her adjusting to life on Pandora - since she was used to relying on her hearing and other senses , - she didn't have an issue hunting - being able to pick up the smallest scent and sound
- she has no involvement with Quaritch or his plan with Jake . When Quaritch got her file - he was initially going to recruit her as another flyer to be on the inside but when he saw her in person he effectively changed his mind - having no use for a blind tree hugging pilot - as he said . Trudy was her replacement ,
So she is completely unaware to what Jake is doing - all the way till the end . She found out the exact time Neytiri did .
- she was the commander of her Unit in the Army - the head nurse and preformed many operations right then and there . She was also one of the head flyers- her reputation being she could fly low enough to the ground to see the snakes in the grass . She flew the wounded out and brought soldiers back in .
- she feels most at home in the sky or high off the ground
- she likes hands on activities . Hunting , especially Ariel hunting - but that being said she enjoys the small habits of living with the clan. She likes making the beaded bracelets and necklaces with the young girls , she loves making dye and weaving and cooking with the more adult women , and she loves sitting and listening to Mo'at speak - especially when the topic is on medicine .
- the reason Eyda doesn't like singing - is because of all the emotion involved in it . When you sing- you often sing about events in your life and it's usually a very intimate emotional moment . She isn't a fan of those and tries to avoid singing with Nin'at as often as she can -
- she's a navi lightweight . Three drinks and she's done .
- she was assigned to be Tsu'tey's student the way jake was assigned to Neytiri -
- she loves to teach. She can be very detailed in her descriptions - even without her eyes . She loves talking and informing . When she's instructing you can see in her movements - and hear in her tone - her excitement .
