Chapter 5 | 2+1=3

Finally the goblins walked out of the room, leaving Harry with Aeolus and Neptune.

"I guess you win." She heard the dragon said in disbelief.

She turned to him and shrugged, "What can I say, I don't indulge in bets unless I know I could win" She mused happily.

"Where are you going now, sire Aeolus?"

The Ukrainian Ironbelly did what seemed to be an equivalent of a shrug, "I'm not sure. I am only allowed to visit my home for limited time as I am a male and during the attack, my house got destroyed."

The ravenette hummed as she tried to think of a solution. Well, I could contact dragon tamers. Perhaps Charlie- Though her thoughts were cut off when she suddenly hears a hiss beside her, "Then come with us. Little speaker is collecting creatures." Neptune chirped happily.

Harry looked, well faced actually as she was currently looking through Neptune's eyes, at Neptune in bewilderment, "Collecting?" She parroted. She then saw herself when Neptune turned to speak to her. "Of course, speaker." He nodded before tilting his head in confusement, "Are you not? Speaker already has Ouranos, a Thunderbird and me, a stunning Horned Serpent. How would adding a dragon to the group be any different?"

Harry continued to stare at Neptune when Aeolus bursted out roaring in laughter. "I suppose I wouldn't mind sticking with little Deathling but I doubt that there would be any space for me to live in." He said in between huffs.

Surprised, Harry turned towards the dragon as Neptune mirrored her action. "Are you sure?" She asked, astonished as she had never met a dragon easily agree to live with a human.

"You are interesting, little Speaker. And what better human to live with than the Master of Death herself?" She saw Aeolus raised a scaly pale brow in amusement as his pale pink eyes looked down on her expectantly.

"Fine, I suppose I do have a mansion and a couple of mountains in the middle of nowhere that I have kept for a while now." Harry sighed in resignment.

She didn't have the heart to turn him down. Sue her.

"And so, I now have a Thunderbird, a Horned Serpent and a Ukrainian Ironbelly to house."

Clarice felt her eye twitch in disbelief. She left her for one hour. One bloody hour and she went and got herself a Ukrainian Ironbelly. Despite her inner turmoil, the woman only sighed and shook her head in resignation.

Though she can't see, Harry could hear the sigh. "I swear I didn't plan this, Clay! It's the damned Scamander blood, I'm telling you!" Harry quickly explained, hoping that her friend wasn't having an inner meltdown.

Thankfully she wasn't, Clarice only laughed and patted her head.

"Alright alright. I believe you, Ry."

They were sitting in Ragnuk's office. The three new members were in Aeolus' room(?) to get to know each other. Ragnuk finally came back with all of the vaults' statements tucked away safely in a folder. He levitated it to the girl so she could read it for when the statements update themselves.

"The amount of each and every one of your vaults are perfectly normal, only decreasing every month for the monthly payment to keep the vaults open." He said as he saw the girl nodding to show that she was listening.

"We have re-warded and re-keyed all the vaults. You can find each of those keys and their stamps in the folder, little Deathling."

Harry smiled at him, "Thanks, Ragnuk! I suppose we should end the reunion here." She said, standing up with the folder securely held in her hand, "I need to find a way to transport my darlings afterall." She said, bowing before holding out her other hand to Clarice so she could lead her back.

Clarice bowed to the Goblin King before walking off with Harry to their next stop.

Carkitt Market.

Clarice stopped them in front of Stowe and Packers Magical Bags.

Unlike the ones in Knockturn Alley, the people working here did ask what they were looking for. Harry smiled at where she heard the guy speak and asked "What is the largest room that you have in a luggage?"

Clarice swore she saw his eyes sparkle as he immediately led them to a line up of luggages. "Well, it's good that you came here then little missy! We have all the best luggages around!" He stated before starting to point at the luggages.

"That blue one contains a flat with two beds, that red one contains only one bed but the living room is much more spacious-!" He continued until he reached the final luggage before looking at them expectantly, waiting for them to take a pick.

Clarice, as she wasn't the one buying, turned to look at Harry. She was pursing her lips in thought, "Well it was not what I was searching for," The worker looked crestfallen. "But I do think I'll need them in the future." Clarice tried her best to hold a straight face when the guy seemed to bounce right back.

In the end, she got the sleek black luggage. It contains a library with endless bookshelves that also works as an office, five bedrooms ("Isn't this too many rooms?") that each has an attached bathroom and a walk-in closet, a spacious kitchen/dining room that merges with the living room, and two blank rooms that she wasn't sure what to make out of yet.

Harry nodded in satisfaction and pointed her index finger, "That one, with the stocking option, and please charm it with the shrinking charm with a bracelet chain attached." She smiled.

"Well, that was counterproductive." Clarice heard Harry said when they finally walked out of the shop.

Clarice gave the girl a side glance who was now sporting a mini luggage on her wrist as a bracelet. "I suppose. Do you know where to go next?" She asked the girl as she grinned.

"Have I ever let you down? Of course I do! Borgin and Burkes it is."

Walking into the store, Clarice was met with different things at once. She was surprised at how many things one can store in a room. She was too occupied on looking around that she didn't realize Harry was walking away from her.

"Death?" Harry muttered when she felt a faint yet familiar aura coming from her right.

She felt her way down the isle until she finally came upon a table where the item was on. Reaching down, she could feel smooth cold surface upon her fingertips but at the same time the same feeling of dread when Death was around her but it lacked a bit of punch.

"Ry!" A voice shouted from behind her.

She continued on feeling the item while calling out "What's up, Clay?"

Footsteps was getting louder as she closed the distance. "That's the Opal Necklace! Don't touch it-!"

But she was too late.

Harry could already feel it pulling on her soul, probably the curse working. Though it was only a small tug before it went away.

"What happened." Harry whispered in confusement at the curse's sudden disappearance. She then felt another feeling of dread fall upon her but this one had more force than the necklace, one that she had grown accustomed to.

"I suppose I happened." Death whispered by her ear. "This particular curse feeds on the fear of when the wearer felt dread falling upon them. The more fear channels it, the stronger it gets and the easier it traps your soul so it can consume it."

She could feel Clarice standing behind her as she also listened to Death.

"But as you are my ward and was already comfortable with the feeling of dread. The curse instead counteracts. Which in other words, you killed the curse."

Harry snorted as Death, yet again, left to Merlin-knows-where. Thinking about his words, she picked up the necklace and hung it around her neck. "Does it look good?" She asked with an amused smile to Clarice.

She heard her clear her throat and reply back "Well, the sapphire blue does bring out your emerald eyes."

"Good." Her smile widen before putting her hand to the front, "Now lead me to the owner so I can ask for what I actually searched for."

Clarice snorted, dried some of her tears that she didn't realize had built up and took her hand, leading her to a wide-eyed Borgin.

Upon stopping in front of a shadow that she presumed as one of the owners, she smiled. "Hello sir, I was wondering whether you have something that could teleport things to go with this." She said, pointing at the Opal Necklace around her neck.

"O-Of course miss."

She tilted her head to indicate him to go on and he did.

"We-Well we have a vanishing cupboard which we're still unsure where the counterpart is, a wooden vanishing box with switches that connects to seven different wooden boxes but the other seven can only connect to that one box, a pair of briefcases that act like a portal to each other which entrance could be stretched with magic and an unregistered chest portkey without a registered place, the password is 'Butternuggets'."

Harry seemed to beam even more as she listened to the list. "Great! Oh, they are just great! I'll take them!" She said happily before started to rummage for her stamp.

Clarice could see that, the man that she recognized as, Burkes was looking at the kid cautiously as if waiting for her to drop dead in any moment.

"Oh, and please shrink them into a bag and could you attach a necklace rope to the shrunken portkey?" Harry added, snapping Burkes from his confused daze as he started to gather the things and shrink them.

And in no time Burkes made the payment with the stamp, gave the bag to Clarice and they walked out of the story, with a very pleased Harry.

An apparition to a certain mansion in the Netherlands, a pair of briefcases and a stretching magic later, Ouranos and Aeolus found themselves on top of a mountain with a single luxurious and not so humble mansion that keeps itself clean.

One of the pair of the briefcases that they used as a portal remained opened and safely secured in the mansion.

In her first life, Harry had warded the mountains to the brim so that both muggles and wizards wouldn't even step on the foot of the mountain, which meant they could freely fly around and hunt their dinners in the forests around.

While Neptune opted to stay back with his speaker as 'Speaker will need someone to see through!' or he so exclaims, though Harry was grateful at his consideration. So Neptune found himself in a warm cage - without the glass to keep him in - inside of her new luggage flat, with all her purchases from Borgin and Burkes stashed in her bedroom.

"Finally, I'm done." Harry groaned, leaning on the car door as Clarice drove them home.

The older woman laughed and patted her hair, "What are you going to do now, Ry? I mean after you graduate of course." She asked, reminding herself to make the request first thing in the morning.

The girl stretched in her seat. "I'm not sure. I mean, totally attend college of course but after that? Not quite sure. Make some breakthroughs? I mean I've lived in worlds much more modern than this so that shouldn't be too difficult to do." She shrugged nonchalantly, though seemed to be deep in thought.

"-I could just produce new songs that I know from the other worlds. Or maybe new formulas? New inventions could make easy money-"

The blonde kept on patting her head and smiled, "I'm sure you'll figure it out. I mean aren't you Death's friend?"

Harry giggled sleepily at her comment. "Of course I am!" She said, voice starting to slur as her young metabolism started to catch up. "I've been his friend... for-"

Clarice smiled when she heard quiet snores coming from the girl. Ah, to be young again. She thought mirthfully, occasionally glancing at the sleeping girl beside her.

She spent the rest of the ride to Privet Drive thinking back at how much had happened in just a few hours.

"-Ry... Harry.. Hey, wake up Ry."

Harry groaned as she woke up from her slumber. A hand was shaking her frame.

"Yes?" She slurred, blinking a couple of times before remembering that she was blind.

"Come on, Ry. We're at Privet Drive, I'll walk you to the door." She heard Clarice say before nodding and muttering an okay to the woman.

Harry didn't really remember what happened next. She was pretty sure that she walked to the door, and probably was immediately knocked out once she hit the makeshift bed in her cupboard.

Clarice: *Looking around the mountain* "So this is yours?"
Harry: *Looking through Neptune* "Indeed, magical mountains don't really cost much back in the 900 A.D.s"
Clarice: "Hummm- Wait. Mountain?!"
Harry: "Yes, mountains. What did you think I was talking about?"
Clarice: "I thought only the mansion is yours! I didn't know you bought the bloody mountain!"
Harry: *Laughing* "Well, not one. I bought the whole row.
Clarice: "The whole row of mountain?!"
Harry: "Much cheaper in rows. Didn't you know?"
