War looked over the blood prince with resistance. He knew he couldn't trust Samael, but he did need more help then two immature men.
"What do you have in mind?" War asked. Samael sneered and his eyes sparked like a flame almost immediately as a plan molded in his mind.
"The Destroyer has four Chosen. Bring me their heats. Ask me no questions!" Samael snarled. War thought about it carefully. He felt how guarding Samael was being with his tone and how he had strongly pointed out not to question him. He could tell this was suspicious behavior, but Samael was the blood prince after all. Only demons would always be making crazy riddles and lies for people to get stuck in.
"Fine. These "Chosen" shall be dead by days." War promised. Samael grinned with pleasure.
"Then start at the highlands where the first chosen rests. Tiamat, the bat queen, has taken roost at the Twilight Cathedral. Bring me her still beating heart..." Samael hissed.
"I cannot reach highlands." War shot back. He was certain he could reach it, but was hoping Samael would grant him something so War wouldn't be as cheated when this was all over.
"Take these... They will help..." Samael said, black smoke grew from War's back and lifted him into the air. The smoke formed into wings and War landed on the ground.
"Use them to reach the high ground. I'll be waiting Horsemen." Samael said, a twisted smirk curling on his face. He used his wings to conceal himself and disappeared into a demonic portal.
"Well now you're a black angel War. And hurry up, I don't want to be stuck here any longer with the mist horseman and your nephew..." The Watcher hissed in War's mind. War sighed and turned away from the Blood Prince's prison and lead the other two down to a broken road.
"I'll get the guys on the platform ahead!" Wild said, running and disappearing into a cloud of smoke. Fear and War continued to walk together. War was a little surprised Fear had some how managed to keep his mouth shut.
That wasn't normal for him. War took a glance and saw Fear was staring off. War made sure to note that and turned the corner. Wild was riding on an highly explosive demon. It was trampling all over the platform, desperately trying to get the nephilim off his back.
Soon it gave up and started to self-destruct. Wild leapt off at the last moment teleported next to War.
"Alright, its clear now." Wild said with a smirk. War ran forward and used his wings to cross to the vacant road and then to what was left of a subway tunnel. Wild teleported himself and Fear behind War and they continued their journey.
After maybe twenty minutes the boys had ran through an underground inferno. When they finally reached fresh air, the moon was out and the atmosphere was grim.
"Do either of you know where we are?" War asked, continuing to walk on. Fear looked around.
"The Choking Grounds if I'm not mistaken." Fear said.
"Good." War said. He waved a hand when Wild teleported, his smoke invading the Red Horseman's vision. When War could see again, he spotted Wild talking with Vulgrim in the center of the grounds. They traded something and War was curious.
"What did he trade with that demon?" War asked aloud. Fear had snapped from his thoughts and looked over to Wild, who was still talking to Vulgrim.
"I never know." Fear said, his tone bored.
"Who was the first one we have to kill? I wasn't paying attention during Samael's pride speech." Fear asked, looking up to his mate's uncle.
"Tiamat. She is our first target and is located in the Twilight Cathedral according to Samael. I don't trust that big-headed demon but he would do anything to escape a position of vulnerability." War said, waving Wild over when he discovered a path that lead to where they needed to go.
