"Since the dawn of time, the armies of Heaven and Hell have waged an endless war. Drawn to the conflict was the Charred Council, an entity bound by ancient laws to preserve order and balance. It held that any great power, unchecked, threatened the very fabric of the universe. In time, Heaven and Hell came to honor the Council and its laws, for none were beyond the swift and terrible justice of the Council's enforcers-a fearsome brotherhood known as the Horsemen. Amid the turmoil, the first humans emerged. The Council foretold that these were weak, but cunning creatures would someday be integral to the Balance. Thus, a third kingdom was named-the Kingdom of Man. By order of the Council, a truce was forged between Heaven and Hell. The great pact was bound by Seven Seals, to be broken at the appointed time-when Man's Kingdom stood ready for the Endwar-a battle that would bring balance, and determine the ultimate fate of the three kingdoms..."
Meteors crashed to the Earth, causing havoc within the streets
War felt himself plummet into the humans asphalt street, kneeling down because of the force. He looked next to him to see Fear standing nearby, his sword over his shoulders as he watched the mortals yell and scream, panicking the find cover.
War pulled chaoseater out of the ground when he saw a large demon jumped on top of what he had learned was called a bus. It roared at him and Fear walked beside the older horseman as they approached it.
It roared at the pair challengingly. War nodded to Fear, signaling him to go another way. Fear nodded and ran over to some rubble and leapt over it, out of sight. War drew his blade and looked up at the giant clawed beast.
He swung around his sword, cutting the heads off of a few demons that had dared to try and take him on. War looked up at the demon, as though mocking him with his attempts. It slammed its fist down on the bus in frustration, making War growl when he heard human screams from inside.
It jumped off the bus and started to circle with War. War smirked, a fang showing. His eyes blazed and turned to an orangey color.
His body grew and wings sprouted from him, with horns and fiery skin. War swiped at the beast, and made it back up in surprise. War swiped at it again and cut it across the chest.
It fell to the ground and screeched at him. War cut the head off and looked to see the bus be obliterated by a meteorite. War walked through and went back to normal. He saw a human trying to outrun a demon and he kicked it away. He looked to the girl and she looked too terrified and confused to thank him.
War decided to keep walking and turned the corner. He spotted Fear tackling a angel as they started to fly down the same road. One of them spotted him.
"War is here!" He yelled as they kept flying, forgetting about their buddy who was being torn to pieces by Fears claws. Fear looked up and saw a giant stone man. He leapt off the angel right when it was about to crash and ran up to War.
"You were right, the Endwar has started." Fear said, looking around.
"We need to find Abaddon." War said, pointing to where the angels went.
"They're going to him, to tell them we're here." War said. Fear nodded and started taking off down the street with War somewhat keeping up. Suddenly, War grunted in pain and stabbed chaoseater into the ground.
"War? What is it?" Fear asked.
"What... is happening?" War asked no one in particular, even though Fear was there. He could feel his power being stolen from him, a very painful process. Fear noticed when War got back up, he looked a little pale.
"Come on, I think I know where Abaddon is." Fear said, running off again. They stopped to kill of a few more demons, people screaming more when they saw Fear, then running off in a panic when War came into view.
"Get out of here!" Fear growled in annoyance, humans should hide when someone has taken a hunter off of your trail. Fear saw a woman run past. she had short black hair and she was running, holding a baby. Fear froze for a minute when he thought about Whisper.
What if this were them? The Endwar happening in their world? Especially if Whisper were to mother his child. Fear shook himself out of it when he saw War walking over to a wall that had fleshy roots on a building, stepping over bloody angel bodies as he went.
War grabbed on one and started to climb up. Fear ran over and climbed up to the wall, passing War. When they were both on the next floor, more roots appeared and Fear ran over to them to climb up. War followed after and saw a huge angel with a giant shield.
When Fear was about to confront the angel, War held out his sword in front of him. Fear looked over and past War to see a demon flying straight for the angel. Fear smirked as he watched the demon seize the soldier and take off with him.
Fear ran over to a wire and took out his sword and used it to slide to the next building. War followed after him, using his giant gauntlet. The wire snapped right before War got to the other side. Fear ran forward, but saw Wars hand gripping the side.
He helped pull the larger male up and more roots sprouted.
"Alright who has the green thumb?" Fear asked sarcastically. War sighed and ran over and jumped, grabbing the roots and climbed up, cutting a few demons off the wall. They got to the top and were in a room with tables and chairs. A spike busted out of the floor and a magical shield appeared at the exit, leaving the horsemen with a few mere demons.
Fear took down two and War took down the rest. The barrier disappeared and they both walked through. Both dropped down and walked around the corner to witness and demon taking down some sort of flying car.
They ignored it, knowing there was no way to save the humans who were in it. They ran up to another wire and Fear used his sword to slide down. War followed after him, the wire not breaking this time.
When War landed on the balcony, it crashed down onto the streets. Fear sighed and looked at the red rider.
"At least it's the same way we're going." Fear said. War nodded and started heading down the street, running around cars and picking one up to toss at an unsuspecting angel.
Fear got onto one car.
"War! Throw this one." Fear said. War smirked when he realized what Fear wanted him to do. He ran over and picked the car up.
He aimed and tossed the car at another Hellguard soldier. Fear leapt off that car and tackled the last angel there. They saw a lava pit and a large angel on top.
"Told you I knew." Fear whispered as they walked over. When the large winged angel saw them, his remaining eye widened in disbelief.
"Impossible..." He murmured.
"Abaddon...What is this? Where is my kin?" War demanded.
"This cannot be. The... final Seal-" Abaddon was cut off when a huge winged demon crashed into him. Abaddon growled and cut at its face, making it scratch at him.
"My lord!" A voice called. Fear looked up to see Uriel, the female angel from heaven that he had met when he had gone on his little adventure on Earth, before all of this had happened. She flew down and cut between the two, knocking the demon into the lava below to burn to death.
"How... did this happen..?" Abaddon muttered to himself in frustration. Uriel cut down another demon and turned to look at her leader. Fear backed away when War stabbed his sword into the ground again, immense pain spreading through his body.
Fear then shut his eyes tightly and gripped his head, baring his teeth in pain.
"The Seventh Seal was not broken!!!" Abaddon continued. Fear looked up at glared daggers at the angel leader. His eyes widened in shock when he saw a huge hand rise from the pit and grasped the angel, crushing him.
"Abaddon!" Uriel yelled, trying to reach for him, but she was to late. The pain left both the horsemen and War looked up to meet Uriel's enraged face.
"What in Heaven's name have you done?" She demanded.
"I answer the call." War said back, his voice strained. They all watched as a huge demon with dark armor stood up, waist deep in the lava. The demonic creature slapped an angel away like it was some pestering fly.
It slammed it's fist down in front of the two horsemen, the three of them now at eye-level. He threw his head forward and roared at them, his throat filled with flames.
"Somebody needs a mint!" Fear said, swatting at the air, trying to get rid of the horrid stench. War ran back and picked up a car. The general laughed, sounding eternally evil. Fear growled at him and jumped onto the car War was going to throw.
War tossed it at him, hitting him in the chest. Fear leapt off and dug his claws into the demons face. He cut at the strange flesh, but was thrown off by him shaking his head around.
Fear got up off of the ground and turned back to War.
"We need to throw another, I can get him down! You do the rest!" Fear yelled. War nodded and lifted up another car. Fear ran for it and landed on it. War chucked it at the demon, hitting it in the face this time. Fear leapt up and cut the demon down the cheek and the lip.
He shook his massive head, tossing Fear aside and out of sight. War growled and ran forward when the demon leaned down. War jumped up and grabbed his eye lid. He swung around chaoseater and stabbed it into his eye.
War pulled it out and jumped up for the finishing blow, but pain shot throughout his body, making him cringe and fall to the ground. War held his arm and struggled to get up and walk away. The demon smacked him away, making War hit a wall. War sat up and glared at the demon.
"The Law... has been broken..." The demon picked him up in his mighty hands.
"And so have you, Horseman." He replied, laughing manically, his grip tightening around the red rider. War struggled against the strength, and was eventually crushed to death by the demon, never knowing if Fear shared his fate, the last thing he felt was the crushing of his bones...
