TW: Death and a small mention of blood

Jack ran towards where Life's palace, he knew he had to tell them about Lili. Maybe they'll know who did this or at least help me be able to figure it out. Jack thought, his paw steps where quick as he ran.  When he approached Life's palace he swung open the doors, but was grabbed by a palace guard, his large white paw gripping his shoulder tightly.

"Why are you here?" He asked, his voice stern and his gaze cold.

"I need to talk to Life, it's urgent, Lili's dead!" Jack explained, their voice indicating the urgency. The guard let go and allowed Jack to enter the palace. They ran up toward Life's chambers, his foot steps echoing through the halls. Once he got to where Life was he swung open the doors and entered before stopping to catch his breath. 

"You could have knocked, but tell me Jack, what is the problem?" Life asked, looking down on the cougar. Jack continued to pant for a few more moments before answering their question.

"Lili's dead." Jack said, Life's face took a look of surprise when they heard the news, Jax's neon green eyes changed to exclamation marks before going back to their normal shape, his fur changed from black to white, his eyes, mouth, and paw pads changing from neon green to neon blue.

"Who could do such a thing!?" Jax exclaimed in horror.

"I don't know, all I saw where scratch marks and green blood, but no sign of who it could be!" Jack explained, Life nodded in response.

"Well whoever it is must be punished, Lili was a loyal healer of mine, one of the best in the forest." Life said.

"Well you best get on your way, if you find out anymore about this please tell me." Life told Jack, Jack nodded and left the room, Life and Jax watched as he left. 

Jax changed back to black and green, and looked over towards Life, Life smiled at them.

"That cougar wont be able to figure out who it was." Life said.

"I Just don't want him to get suspicious of anyone important." Jax explained, Life nodded in agreement.
