R5 - Tribe of the Setting Sun | Roles

All the apprentices have been removed apart from the Lookout To-Be [as 'paws don't really exist in tribes and I thought replacing them with new roles would be more interesting]. There are 7 new roles!

This chapter will be updated with role choices after the signups, roles will be removed depending on how many people join. [roles will change depending on innocent:traitor ratios, there will always be a fair number of traitors]

update: innocent immobiliser has been removed, 28 roles remain.

The Clan Team

Leader - Stoneteller (1)

Although you are an important clan member you do not have a nightly action, but once every 3 nights you can pick a cat to heal. During the daily vote your vote counts as double. [Not using Stoneteller, as that means people can't use their cat names. New ability added as Stonetellers are able to heal]

Deputy (1)

If you investigate someone suspicious, you will be told what type of role they have, unless their role is unknown. You can investigate the same cat two nights afterwards again to try and guess what their role could be. You can investigate other cats in between.

Unknown roles: Scavenger, Shapeshifter, Brightheart, Jester, Survivor, Starspeaker, Heavenbound, Puppet and the Lead Traitor.

Healer (1)

Your nightly action is healing another cat. You can heal one cat each night, and they cannot be killed by any traitor if you pick the right one. If they attack your selected cat, you will spot a physical trait of one of the traitors, although its up to you if you decide to share this. You can't heal yourself!

Starspeaker (1)

You may communicate with StarClan in your dreams and pick a dead cat to speak with (obviously not before night 2). This will not count as a nightly action as you are asleep, this keeps you hidden from lookouts.

Heavenbound (1)
You may pick a cat to resurrect once a game, although this happens in your sleep so the lookouts won't see it as a nightly action.

Lookout (1)

You can choose to watch any cat you find suspicious each night. This is a nightly action, and you will be told if the cat has a nightly action or not, but you do not know if they have an innocent action or a guilty action.

Lookout To-Be (1)

You have no nightly action/abilities, but if the Lookout dies/is exiled then you will assume their role.

Seeker (1)

Your nightly action is investigating two cats and seeing if they are on the same or different teams, however this different team could be innocent-neutral or innocent-traitor.

Mystery (1)
[new]

This cat will be given any randomly generated role from the innocents or neutrals however they will not know they are the mystery until attacked. Only ONE is the true owner of the role. If attacked they will switch to the traitors side, and if they have an information gathering role, they are free to share their information. If not, they become a normal traitor. [this is essentially the Turnpelt with a twist. So if 2 people are claiming the same role, one is probably the mystery!]

Cave-Guard (1)

You are the strongest cat in the clan, and you can protect one cat each night. If they are attacked by traitors you will take the attack for them, and see a trait of the traitors. However, if you protect a cat and are attacked for a second time, you will die.

Sharpclaw (1)

You are an innocent but you are quite violent. You're a normal warrior most of the time, but if you suspect a cat to be a traitor you can kill that cat in the day, and your role will be revealed. However, if you were wrong and killed an innocent/neutral, you won't be exiled but you will have accidently betrayed your team and lost them a member.

Elder (1)

The elder is an innocent but they can choose to mute someone the next day, meaning they cannot comment on the next chapter. You can't mute the same cat twice in a row.

Kittypet (1)

You can choose to send a message every night to any cat, it can be either helpful or completely random.

Rogue (1)

An innocent with a revenge kill that can only be used ONCE when they die.

The Neutral Team

Brightheart (1)

On the first night, you need to choose any two cats to fall in love with each other. LGBTQ+ IS PERMITTED. If one cat dies, the other will die of grief, the same with exile, the other will leave with that cat, traitor or not. You can't choose yourself!

Puppet (1) - [new] [from Chaos_The_Glitch's mafia]

You can choose to send a riddle every night to your team, a team of which you will choose yourself at the start of the game.

Jester(1) - [new] [from Chaos' mafia]

Their goal is to be exiled from the game, if they win the game does not end, but they will be given 1 revenge kill for any cat.

Scavenger (1)
[new]

This cat tries to take information from exiled cats, it doesn't matter what team they're from, innocents, neutrals or traitors can all be taken from. Essentially the neutral version of the traitor thief. Obviously cannot be used unless a cat is exiled.

Shapeshifter (1)
[new]

This cat has no abilities but they can be quite important, if a cat with an important role dies after the heavenbound dies/their ability is used, the Clan can request that this role be given to the Shapeshifter. [they do not need to know who the Shapeshifter is to do this]. If 3 cats or more suggest it, a new voting chain will be made to see if their teammates agree.

Survivor (1)

You are not a traitor, but you only want to live. If anyone, even an innocent, tries to visit you, they will die. If traitors attempt to attack, the weakest traitor will die. However, you are a normal warrior most of the time. This protection from the traitors only happens once.

The Traitor Team

Just because you don't have discord doesn't mean you're safe from being a traitor, a random number generator is used, so if you don't have it I'll simply PM you.

ALL TRAITORS CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE KILL-VOTE, NO MATTER WHAT THEIR ROLE IS.

Lead Traitor (1) [T1]

You are the leader of the traitors, the strongest and the most intelligent cat. As you are the head, your vote counts for double during the nightly kill-vote.

Traitor Lookout (1) [T2]

Similar to the Clan-Team lookout, your nightly action involves seeing if a cat of your choosing has a nightly action. You may investigate every night, but you must wait 2 nights until you can investigate the same cat again.

Traitor Solver (1) [T3 - New]

Each night this traitor will be given a clue by the host about a cat and their role via a riddle, however it will not be confirmed if their solution is correct or not. Only they are allowed to solve it, with no help from their team. If the Puppet picks the traitor team, both cats will be informed of the situation regarding their night actions.

Traitor Deceiver (1) [T4]

You can choose a cat to frame as the traitor every night, and if investigated their role will show as a traitor.

Traitor Interrogator (1) [T5]

Once a game, you can force an innocent/neutral cat to tell you their role, to keep your role a secret this will happen through me without a mention of your cat's name. However, one of your physical traits will be revealed.

Traitor (1) [T6]

These normal traitors have no abilities other than voting which cats to kill.

Traitor Thief (1) [T7]

You can choose to steal information from any cat every night, but if you visit the survivor you will die. If you find nothing two nights in a role, your chosen cat will be given a traitor trait.

Traitor Immobiliser (1) [T8 - New]

Unlike the innocent immobiliser, the traitor version can ensure that an innocent is unable to use their night action every night. [Does not work on cats with 1 time abilities]
