61.
"You said you need help?", I asked coldly when we got outside.
"Yes, we do", she answered.
"And with 'we' you mean tsuki and you?"
"Raven, my father and me", she said.
"Oh, right. Mr. Hollow", I mumbled to myself.
"I know you don't like him, but-
"He murdered me!", I said loudly, "of course I don't like him!"
"How can you be so sure that it's him?", she yelled back, "I know my father is slightly weird, but that doesn't mean he killed you, ok?!"
"But it's obvious! Who else was it then, huh?", I yelled back, throwing my hands in the air.
"That's what I wanna find out!", she said, "but you need to fucking cooperate or you can say goodbye go your lover boy if we don't find the murderer quickly!"
"Ok, ok! I'll help you", I said, rolling my eyes, "but why couldn't this wait for tomorrow?"
"It is tomorrow you dumbass", she said, also rolling her eyes.
"Did you just call me dumbass?", I asked shocked.
"Yes, I did", she answered, not caring to look at me.
"Anyway... what time is it?", I asked, causing her to look on her watch.
"7am", she said.
"But it's still pretty dark outside", I noticed looking at the dark, blue sky.
"It's starting to become winter, Brendon", she sighed, "the nights get longer and the days shorter."
"Oh", I mumbled, "that means Christmas is soon!"
"That's true", she chuckled.
"What if Ryan won't be able to celebrate this Christmas alive?", I asked slowly.
"He will if we start doing something now", she said, looking deep into my eyes, "he's a though guy, I mean he didn't loose his mind even though he found out you're a ghost, that takes some nerves, my dear."
"Let's hope you're right", I chuckled sadly, my eyes locked on the ground.
"You don't remember anything from the day you died, don't you?", she asked, with a glim of hope in her eyes.
"No, unfortunately not", I answered, "just darkness turning into a light, a warm light. I felt free for a moment, full of happiness, but then the warm light turned into something lifeless, well this", I pointed at myself.
"What did you do on the days before you died?"
"I guess I went to school, met Patrick or played something with my sister, but I can't remember anything specific."
She nod her head slowly.
"Maybe we should change the topic for now", she said, " because I don't think that you'll remember something when we force you."
****
And thats what we did. We talked about several, unnecessary stuff and it felt really refreshing and good to talk to another person instead of Ryan. She really helped me to clean my thoughts.
So we somehow got to the topic 'favourite food/drinks', eventhough I haven't eaten in a long time now.
"I just know that my father loves coffee", I chuckled, "he drinks it with a lot of sugar. I never really likes it."
"I love tea to be honest, I'm not that kind of a coffee fan..."
Then I remembered something. There was ringing something in my head, wanting to come out of my mouth.
Tea.
Tea.
".... and then I nearly spilled all the", the woman continued eventhough I wasn't listening anymore.
"Tea", I said, causing her to stop talking.
"What?"
"Tea! The tea, I remember!", I said, jumping on my feed.
And then memories were flooding back, crashing against my skull, causing everything around me to spin.
"What do you mean with "tea'"?, Mrs. Jensen asked, narrowing her eyes.
I need to get to him.
And tell him.
"Ryan", I mumbled, "he... I must tell him. He can't...."
"Brendon, try to build whole sentences!", she said, grabbing my shoulders, but I managed to get out of her grip.
I immediatly ran to Mr. Stanley's house, the place Ryan was supposed to meet him to go fishing today.
And just one thought was screaming in my mind, louder than everything else.
Don't drink the tea.
