Death Of Humanity

There was a poor family with five members. Father was ill for last few years so there was no one to earn the bread and feed the family. Their mother was helpless as she could hardly read and write. so she had to work in the house of a rich family. She never got paid enough to feed her children along with the medication expenses of her husband. Her hardwork and tiresome efforts couldn't bring change in their lives.

One night the loving husband (Abdullah) died in front of her eyes and she couldn't save him.. For the next few days their neighbors and other relatives brought food and stuff to eat. The poor children ate to their full appetite. They were thankful that they could have something to eat after a long time.

She remembered how hard her husband laboured day and night in the field to make her happy and fulfill the needs of children. But now the only person, the life partner and the equal half was no more with her. Husbands death was the biggest lost she had faced in her life.

All those good days spent with him were recurring in her mind. She started to dream about him every night. She started talking to him in her thoughts. She was so used to him that she wasn't ready at all to belive that her husband had died. She didn't wanted to listen, from anyone, that he won't come back and she would never see him in front of her eyes.

She couldn't bear this pain and, as a result, fell ill. Her bad health proved to be a doom day for innocent children. Poverty forced them on starving. They were in miserable condition. Hungry children used to sit in corners of the old miserable house.

Perplexed faces of kids made Amma (mother) weep. She cried out with all the pain hidden inside her. She was questioning God about His division. She believed in God but dreadful condition forced Amma (mother) to ask deep questions from divine division.

She was a strong lady with firm religious beliefs. She remained polite in her tune and soon she calmed down. She knew that God gives hardest task to His strongest people.

Empty stomach and empty pockets teaches some lessons that no teacher in this world can teach.

It was Ramazan so all family members decided to go for fast but they had nothing to eat in Sheri. Poor people set themselves on fast by eating old hard piece of single bread with water. They all prayed all the day for better life. The day was passed like no difference at all. It didn't bring change on the lives of poor souls.

It was dark and birds had flown to their nests. Little Ashar asked Amma (mother) " when will we do aftaaar (breakfast) Amma! people have finished taraveh (night prayer in Holy month)." Alas! No Muslim could see that poor neighbors are dying of hunger. They haven't taken meals for days and nights while others are over eating. O my lord!

All of them were hungry but still sitting with patience. All of a sudden, Younger brother ( Taha) seemed to be really silent. Amma observed and he didn't feel like breathing. Unknowingly the deepness of words, innocent Ashar spoke up " Amma when will Taha bhai die? " Amma replied in dismay Ashar! don't say this my laal (dear). You all are the cause of my breath and days left in my life. Why are you saying so? Little Ashar said "Amma because only then our relatives and neighbors will come and feed us with delicious food" he continued " look Amma when our Abba (father) died they brought food and we fulfilled our appetite. "

Taha fell down from the lap of Amma and all of them started crying. People who passed by, heard the sounds of innocent sobs but food items were only brought when summon to janaza (funeral) was called. It wasn't the death of Taha , along with him humanity, religions, traditions, supplications were buried. Nobody noticed that It was a funeral of humanity.
