BEHIND THE SCENES:

1) The first idea for Dominic Prince was that he was an actor; no dark backstory, or fuelling revenge - just a plain old actor who was being bombarded and harassed by stalkers or something, who feels dangerously paranoid, and then ends up dying. Hence the idea out of the graphic that now, ofc, is different.

2) I didn't expect that Quinn Fong was going to have such a big presence in this book - neither is the fact that she's a bloody hacker - but I really got to explore her character a bit while I was drafting and fixing my pinterest board to attach her, and I had to say, as I was changing her up she just naturally became a comic relief oc that became spunky. Also lets be honest- everyone's flippim' depressed. But godbless Quinn Fong, I adore her. Hands up to the queen.

3) Dr. Hamel's name - Faris Moriarty Hamel, with the middle name, has been set since the first book. Leon calls him Mor in the first book if you noticed ;-)

4) Chapter 04, during the morgue scene where Leon had to stab Dom's body to make sure he's actually dead where he could've just seen the bullet hole on his forehead- I totally forgot he got shot so while I was proofreading, I was like, "Wait, shit." I'm still so glad I caught that before I published it- imagine if I hadn't? Whew child. WHEW.

5) The Agatha Christie book this book was inspired was 'And Then There Were None', but only the 'bunch of suspects' idea, not the whole got stuck on the island thing. Also was inspired by 'Murder on the Orient Express' with all-

most of the suspects had a hand in it in killing him.

6) Before drafting, I had written out names and made bulleted lists out of the cast of suspects and took a photo to remember... Completely forgot while I was drafting. So. You know. Crap.

7) Didn't know Dom knew Wendy beforehand or that he wrapped his plans around her. Fun.

8) I wanted to explore Wendy's and Leon's family in the second book, but I didn't know that Wendy's would be through much of a kidnapping scene where she was forced to reveal her childhood trauma or die, or Leon's sister because a dead guy roped her up into doing his dead biddings.

9) Didn't know Wendy was going to get kidnapped. At all. Especially not twice. And she survived it twice. What up?

10) Aoi Nakamura and Enzo Moretti's engagement party was supposed to be the last scene!! But then!! It didn't. Because the earlier idea was to have all the suspects back in the crime scene for more dramatic effect, with the dinner and crap going on. Also-

11) Matteo Moretti is supposed to kill his grandson dead. Like as in. Shot to the head. Just like Dominic, like some kind of parallel with his 'other' adopted grandson, Dominic. Who will both die a saint and sinner. (Dominic is a saint because he's a victim, a sinner because he did it through blood; Enzo is a sinner because DUH, and a saint because he never expected it? That his own granddad would shoot him?? idek how that classifies it as saint but, semantics?) But then. No. So. Yeah?

12) Chapter 18 was the easiest chapter to write :-)

13) Didn't expect that Kei Tanaka was going to be a big character, or that he was coming at all since I didn't :-) even :-) know :-) Wendy :-) was :-) going :-) to get :-) kidnapped TWICE :-), but because of epilogue II, he's now larger than he is lmao

14) In Chapter 24, the Dr. Grey reference was supposed to be a Fifty Shades of Grey reference that kind of got blended with Grey's Anatomy, so... Dr. Grey.

15) the official last chapter has at least twice the usual words in any chapter in any book I have ever posted up. I wanted to cut it, but then it wouldn't match with the first book and I was like. Eh... My OCD ass is going to kill me one day.

16) I wouldn't call what Enzo feels for Aoi 'love'. But she is the person he thought could become an equal beside him in the business his grandfather started and was planning to expand further, ofc not knowing homegirl was one of his victims who was on a track road to slice his throat. There had been many times Aoi had to stop herself from stabbing him.

17) The line of Leon's toast for Dominic was written out chapters before it was added. Maybe around chapter 14? It originally went like this- "His name was Thomas Caleb Weir. He was a selfish man. He was a victim. He was foul. And he lived to avenge all the others who could not avenge themselves." This was also how I 'found out' Dom's real name. This was supposed to be said during the final dinner scene, but didn't get the chance to since someone decided to get shot.

18) I finished the last chapter + epilogue I around 1 am. It was fun. I'm originally writing this behind the scenes fun stuff around 2 am on a different day. This is why I'm fucked up, kids. Don't copy.

19) Genevieve and Aoi were the ones who gave Dom poisons. The only reason he didn't die quickly was the fact that Dom's body was trained in toxicology. The one who stabbed him was Enzo and Aoi. Enzo because, vindictive bitch let's be honest, Aoi because Stabby McStabson. As a mercy, it was Dom's 'adopted' grandfather, Matteo, who sat in front of him way on the other end of the table, who shot him as he was in pain. It was that whole Prologue, kids.

20) In the end, all the suspects that was mentioned at last - The Cavendish Uncle, the wicked mother, the grandfather and the grandson -will die in the next couple of years. Maybe a year and few months. The grandfather will be the last one to die, having been prepared as everyone else in the list died before him. He will face his murderer with a calm look and say, "May you finally find peace."

21) Epilogue II is not yet OFFICIALLY CANON.

Sorry? :-) Until I figure things out for... future endeavours, I'll hold off on making it so. It's honestly half and half so you can still - technically - consider it.

But is it really the same man we're thinking of?

That's the real question ;-)

22) But Kei's crush on Wendy? CANON, BITCH. (For those who wanna ship it, feel free. #Keindy).

23) I picture a young Takeshi Kaneshiro as Kei :-)

FINAL NOTE:

Made a lot of big deal on the acknowledgement in the first one, and I don't really dedicate anymore (I'm too laZY GUYS IM SORRY, BUT I PROMISE THAT I REPLY TO ALMOST ALL OF YOUR COMMENTS YA'LL ARE STILL JUST AS PRECIOUS SDJS), but I recognise a lot of familiar faces that were voting + commenting on this book that either came from LS or from other books - and new ones! And I appreciate all of your support! YA'LL COMMENTS MAKE ME FUZZY AS HECK

If it wasn't for the good lot of you, I wouldn't have pursued DOAP with such vigour. It's definitely less cosy mystery-ish than LS with all the dark background and the hell of a lot more profanity and kidnappings - and I wrote most of the chapters on laptop for once, hence I could get into more detail.

I would also like to thank a good load of people in my personal life, my sister for one, who helped me out on the particulars if I should let grandfather kill grandson (she was a vehement, 'DON'T KILL YOUR OWN BLOOD ARE YOU A PSYCHOPATH'), and my cousin for being excited all the time with cliffhangers. Excited and a good load of frustrated, let's be real. I gave her snippets of future chapters, usually the bad ones, so she'd send me devastated emojis. Be glad you guys aren't my cousin. She was always ready to kill me.

LS walked so DOAP could run; when it got featured in wp's mystery account in the Featured Reading List first - I got so overwhelmed with happiness I screeched - yes, Aoi type of screech. Thank you so much for the support guys, truly.
