I woke up to my phone buzzing the sun in my eyes, I was nuzzled into someone's chest as I reached for my phone in my pocket putting it to my ear after pressing answer,

"Hel-"

"Patrick where the hell are you?!?!" My mother yelled into the phone, my eyes shot open seeing I was still with Pete,

"Im uhh, I'll explain when I get home" I hung up shaking Pete awake, "Pete wake up you gotta take me home we fell asleep!!!!"

He groaned only holding me tighter, "Why can't we just stay here forever?" He whined,

"Because I'm sixteen Pete and you're twenty-one!" I yelled upset, he opened his eyes looking up at me sadly before he sighed getting in the car on the drivers side.

I put everything in the car before getting in the passengers seat crossing my arms.

We rode to my house in silence, he pulled up to my house letting me out, "Call me later" He sounded sad before he drove off and I walked into my house where my mom stood tapping her foot.

"Mom I was out with Pete" I whispered,

"Patrick he's almost five years older than you, I thought you two were good friends! I didn't think you were sneaking out with him! If this happens again I will report Pete to the police. Now go to you're room and give me you're phone" She yelled holding her hand out for my phone, I sighed sadly giving it to her before I ran upstairs slamming my door breaking down on my bed.

I don't wanna lose Pete I just can't. I ended up passing out from crying so much.

I woke up to a tap on my shoulder followed by a, "Hey sleeping beauty" I turned over to see Pete and my window open, he climbed into bed with me snuggling close, "I'm sorry about how I acted earlier, I forgot we're not supposed to be together" He whispered playing with my hair,

I hummed in response half asleep, "I just I love you" He whispered, I moved so that I was facing him,

"I love you too Petey, I'm sorry for yelling earlier, my mom took my phone and said that if she catches you around me again she'll call the police" I whispered yawning,

"Then we just can't get caught" He kissed me softly, I kissed him back lovingly, the kiss got heated but I didn't let get go any further.

I laid next to him nuzzling his chest, "I love you" I whispered getting sleepy,

"I love you too, I always will" And I fell asleep.

When I woke up Pete wasn't next to me, I sighed getting ready for school. My mom gave me my phone during school hours in case I needed her but I used it to text Pete in class,

He was acting distant today, when I texted him it would take him 20 minutes to reply.

I was texting him in my history class now,

To Petey:
You okay?

From Petey:
Why wouldn't I be?

To Petey:
You're acting distant.

From Petey:
Well I'm sorry that I don't want to go to prison Patrick!

To Petey:
Woah Pete calm down I won't let us get caught we just have to be careful.

From Petey:
I want someone I can love and be with at any moment but until you're 18, that can't happen.

To Petey:
What are you saying?

I had tears in my eyes,

From Petey:
We should break up this isn't working out.

To Petey:
What why?! Just because you don't want to take a chance!?

From Petey:
Goodbye Patrick...

And he stopped responding. It was hard not to cry for the rest of the day but when I got home I sobbed my heart out on my bed screaming into the pillow,

I went to the bathroom, I haven't done this in forever is it worth it? What's the point anymore, I've lost the one thing that kept me going.

I sat by the tub holding the object, guess I'm bringing back long sleeves, good thing it's winter.

And I made the first mark feeling a little better....
