Firstly, I would like to thank every single person who entered this accounts first awards ceremony. All of your books have been thoroughly read and I would like to tell you that we sincerely enjoyed reading them.

I will admit there have been some times where we have literally bashed our heads against a wall trying to decide a first place winner because they were honestly too good.

As admin, I have also loved running this compatition. From doing the edits to answering your questions. After all, there is a reason I decided to run this in the first place.

I would also like to thank the judges for taking the time to go through all those books, and decide our winners.

And as for our winners, you've done an excellent job. Please bare in mind that winners were chosen solely based on the quality of their book. No favouritism was shown.

So let's announce the winners shall we?

General Death Note- (actually, we consider all three of the winners here as first place winners. We only managed to decide the place of the book by minor details. Please keep this in mind.)

1st place winner- The Alternate Universe Stories by FlytoHogwarts

Reason- This is an extremely intriguing book, and so we are confused as to why it does not have more reads. The fine details laced within every description glued our eyes to the various pages, and could therefore not rip our eyes away from the crucial yet gruesome details in some places. As the title would suggest, this is an alternate reality where Beyond Birthday actually escapes prison, and goes on to torture our detective L. One of the best things about this book is how much emotion we get to see seep out of L's monotone expression. It can't be fathomed how the other loved characters are also used in this amazing plot. An incredible book honestly, which deserves more votes than what it has.

2nd place winner- Broken (MattxMello Yaoi Fanfiction) by m_e_ll_o

3rd place winner- Death Note: Armageddon by Dont4get2Write

L Lawliet-

1st place winner- My Own Impossible: Death Note by chiaraluvanimals

Reason- The depth of detail and the depth of the story itself can be considered sincerely amazing, so much so that it couldn't possibily be written as a summery. Unlike most romance based fanfiction, this book can be seen as more realistic in terms of the character development and inevitable love between the nameless girl Dream, and our very own L. This book follows Dream and L from when they were teenagers, till their death as a type of recollection of the past from Dreams point of view. What's amazing is that romance aside, so many other aspects of different characters are shown, which in a sense is simply too overwhelming. This book is highly recommended to read, as it can honestly be said that this is not the typical romance book. One that you will easily fall in love with (not to mention the incredible edits).

3rd place winner- Death Note: O by DeathNoteFan02

Light Yagami-

1st place winner- I N S A N E | Light Yagami x Reader by cielsorgasm

Reason- I'd have to say that this little winner is about as sweet as L's tooth. From the first chapter, the judges were physically smiling from the cuteness that is the developing relationship between the reader and Light. It's oddly nice to see this kind and gentleman side of our killer Kira, who you are introduced to in the begining, and constantly reminded of through his sweet gestures and actions. It's a break from the immediate killings and happily, does not rush the relationship with a stereotypical fall in love followed by Light revealing who he is immediately. This genre makes you want to read on, just as the little details included draw you in and will keep you there until the end of the book (as it is not complete) but overall, an adorable book.

3rd place winner- Our Little Secret- Reader x Light Yagami by HannahThe0taku

Near (Nate River)-

1st place winner- Always Near by stay_clever

Reason- Because of the numerous chapters in this book, a nice slow development for the story plot was allowed to consume this winner. One thing that won the judges over with this book was the OC character that the author created. It's difficult to explain, but the female character 'Silence' and her quiet personality drew us in within only the first chapter. An eerie and type of creepy atmosphere was created for the reader to imagine due to her quiet nature, despite this most likely being unintentional. This aspect made us want to read on, and glad we did. Because you will find reading on how endulging the plot really is, and how easily you will love this book.

2nd place winner- Riddles {a Death Note MelloXOC and NearXOC story} by Dont4get2Write

3rd place winner- The boy that never cried by emootaku2000

Mello (Miheal Keehl)

1st place winner- Mint Chocolate by DoILookAmused

Reason- Funnily enough, this book is as chill as the mint that the female main character loves. Which is actually what makes this particular book so favourable. It wasn't heavy or dramatic, but pleasantly peaceful. Perfect in other words. The story line flows easily and develops smoothly. The character development itself was what flavoured the expected romance between the female 'Mint' and our chocolate loving Mello. The begining may have been a little rushed, but the detail emphasised makes up for this. This is a perfect book for light romance, if you are not looking for something along the lines of Mellos violent tendencies. An honestly lovely book.

2nd place winner- Live Fast, Die Young (MelloxREADER) by m_e_ll_o

3rd place winner- Our Chocolate Romance- Mello x Reader (Death Note Fanfiction) by joker_jaz48

Matt (Mail Jeevas)

1st place winner- The Fawn|Death Note by CloudyLuminosity

Reason- Because of the length of this book, you can really lose yourself within the different plots and senarios planted within the chapters. Which is what is favoured most about this gem. The book also gives a different side to the memorable Los Angelos B.B. Murder Case, using the authors own character to create what we believe, a more diverse and interesting investigation (which amazingly is only a fraction of the book itself). All the while, inching you into the developing romance between the female heroin Bambi, and our very own Matt. This book can be described as subtly sweet and cleverly made. Simply because the extensive details planted within every paragraph do not only revolve around the romance, but even more so around the different characters and investigations. Which for us, was a satisfying and well needed mix. Highly recommended.

2nd place winner- In The Meantime (MattxOC Death Note Fanfic) by KittyToKatz

3rd place winner- Fractured Ties ( A Death Note Matt x Reader) by Vic_kky

Beyond Birthday-

1st place winner- Burnt Possessions by FlytoHogwarts

Reason- Despite this book only being a short one shot, the story line is still emotionally amazing. It revolves around the two characters A and B.B, and describes only a short section of both their lives. However as it is usually said, 'it's about quality, not quantity.' And we found the quality to be very admirable. The personality that A is also given brings the story together, and invests you more into his relationship with his best friend Beyond Birthday. Their well shown connection makes you fall in love with the story, and is what makes the ending so touching.

3rd place winner- Beyond Birthday X Reader: Does It Hurt? by TheFinalKira

Shinigami-

1st place winner- Death Note: The Daughter Of The Shinigami King by BloodyAppleNote

Reason- From the beginning, you are drawn into the story with the new character due to the origionality of the plot. Despite the detail being slightly vague, being the daughter of the shinigami King is interesting enough. It also strays away from the Death Note plot (as this occurs after L and Lights death) which in itself, is a refreshing break from all the action and best of all, does not jump into an obvious and immediate romance. It's different and interesting type of book which we would also recommend you take a look at.

3rd place winner- The Tales Of Four Shinigamis (Death Note Fanfiction) by assifel2173

One-Shots-

1st place winner- The Meaning Of Christmas (deathnote) *L/OC* by risemboolranger

Reason- I have been made aware that this one shot is a side story to this authors story 'I know, you know'. From which, has an equal amount of immense depth. This little masterpiece describes perfectly what we would imagine our favourite insomniac to act, behave and think. And so dwells you into L's persona in a frighteningly better manner then deathnote itself. It is for this reason, and for the perfection that is the female main character Gee, that this book rightfully deserves first place and more some. What's even more incredible is the sheer fact that this one shot does not even specify romance, yet, through Gee and L's time spent on that Christmas Eve, you can clearly spot the hint of their connection. Once again, because you are so well described the senario and their intelligent mentality. I highly recommend reading this little beauty, as we ourselves could not fathom this little gem.
