I'm refering to Ryuzaki as L as well bc it got boring to read his name so many times in the story, sorry

"Okay, what movie should we watch?!" Light's voice echoed through the room as he walked in happily. He, Matsuda, Aizawa, Misa and Ryuzaki were planning on watching some horror movies to celebrate Halloween, the one who was most excited was Light, he had always loved horror movies since he used to watch them with his father when growing up, Misa and Ryuzaki weren't really fond of the idea, but they just went along with it

"Well... you're the fan, I don't know" Ryuzaki said, Light chuckled, knowing how he didn't really like that kind of movies "you're the one who's going to enjoy every bit of it, not us" he said gesturing to himself and Misa

"It's my choice, then?" He aske exitedly, the other four nodded and he went to speak again before Misa cut him

"But, Light... don't pick anything too scary please, I don't want to have nightmares tonight" she said, Ryuzaki rolled his eyes in annoyance a Light did the same

"Just let him be happy, Misa, he doesn't find anything scary, I am pretty sure there's no movies that scare him" Matsuda said, Light chuckled and got everyone's attention again

"Actually... there's one" Ryuzaki frowned slightly, Light was scared of something? And that something wasn't getting caught... wow, impressive "I'm just not going to play it tonight because y'all might die" he said

"Try me" Ryuzaki said challengingly "let's watch it, all horror movies are the same nowadays. it can't be that bad, it's always a ghost following someone and killing them, or something along those lines" he knew it had to be really bad for Light to be scared, he knew him well enough to know that he would just die

"Alright, let's get going, let's see who gets scared first... L" Light smirked as the detective walked to him

"I can't wait to see it"

"Light! Stop this movie! I'm scared" Misa whined for the tenth time in the past five minutes "let's watch something else!" She cried, clinging onto his arm "Liiiiiight" Ryuzaki groaned, it was just the three of them now, it wasn't fair that they let Misa stay here and they all left, she was so annoying and ruining the emotion of the movie "Ryuzaki! Tell him to stop this movie!"

The two boys glanced at each other, both clearly annoyed "look Misa, if you don't like this movie just don't watch... or leave, but it's Ryuzaki's birthday and I'm not going to stop the movie if he doesn't want me to" the detective felt hiself blushing at Light's words

Misa stood up and looked at Ryuzaki pleadingly, Light did the same but for the complete opposite reason, he just couldn't say no to Light, he was pretty scared, but he didn't care, and if Misa left it'd be just the two of them... he wasn't sure if he liked that or not "I'm sorry Misa" he simply said, the girl groaned and walked to the door, about to leave the room

"You are the worst boyfriend ever!" She shouted at Light before storming out

Light and Ryuzaki looked at each other awkwardly and the teenager paused the film "let me get this straight... you are obviously not enjoying this, so why did you tell her you wanted to continue watching it?" Light questioned, L bit his lip hesitant, he didn't really say that what he wanted was to continue watching the movie, being completely honest, he hadn't payed much attention to it, something - or someone- was distracting him, he'd been distracting him for a while now, but was he going to say anything? Of course... not

"What makes you think I'm not enjoying it?" Light raised his eyebrows as if it was obvious and Ryuzaki sighed "I was just distracted, really"

"You've been distacted quite a lot lately, is something wrong? Is it about Kira?" Light asked, how was he supposed to respond to that without making it obvious? 'Yeah, well I happen to like the one I'm 99% sure is Kira but everything's fine'?

"Uh... yes and no... let's just go back to the movie, I don't feel like talking about it right now" the youngest frowned, but he nodded undestandingly and played the movie again

After a few jumpscares, L was inches away from Light "no, don't open that door, are you stupid?" Ryuzaki said, the brunette boy couldn't help but laugh at that, L was so innocent and precious... he just didn't deserve anything bad happening to him, he just wanted to protect him and there he was, trying to find out what his name was to kill him... ironic. Light liked Ryuzaki but Kira hated L "okay, he is" he said as the main character of the movie opened the basement door

Right at that moment, there was a jumpscare, the one they were both secretly waiting for, Ryuzaki covered his eyes and Light put his arm around L's shoulder comfortingly

Somehow, when the movie ended, they were both covered by a blanket and Ryuzaki's head resting on Light's shoulder as he was fast asleep, Light looked down at him and his heart skipped a beat as he saw the breathtaking sight, he'd never seen L asleep before and he really wished he could witness it again because he'd be lying if he said it wasn't adorable

Light turned the tv off and tried his best not to wake Ryuzaki up, but after a bit, his eyes fluttered open and he rubbed his eyes tiredly, Light smiled "let's go to sleep?" He asked when Ryuzaki was sitting and he could stand up, L blinked and nodded "are you alright?" He knew something was definitely not right, L was going through something but no one knew what, no one noticed this, of course, but Light knew when around five days had passed and he hadn't acussed him of being Kira

"Yeah, everything's fine" Ryuzaki lied, he wasn't alright, the fact that he woke up laying on Light's shoulder wasn't helping with the whole getting over thing

"Do you want to sleep in my room?" The boy asked, and he really hoped the answer was yes, Ryuzaki looked at him slightly confused "well, you looked pretty shaken up during the movie, but if you don't want to..."

"I- uh... yeah, why not, I mean... sure" neither of the two had any idea of all the cuddles and kisses that night would bring to them
