Mello's POV.

"Wow..." I mutter to Matt, my only close friend at this new school, as I watch this girl go by. She has beautiful (Hair Colour) hair and the most amazing, glowing (Eye Colour) eyes I swear I've ever seen.

"Who you looking at?" Matt nudges me and wiggles his eyebrows suggestively and I feel my face heating up a fraction.

"Her." I nod to the stunning (Hair Colour) haired girl further down the corridor who has stopped with a much larger group of girls, all centered around her.

"What, the (Hair Colour) one?" Matt seems disbelieving, can he not see how stunning she is?

"Yeah!" I nod enthusiastically I get a dirty look from Matt.

"Stay away from her, Mello. She's bad news." He shakes his head in disappointment.

"What do you mean? You're not making sense." I look at him with confused wide eyes.

"Dude, can't you see? She's like the queen of the bad girls club. I'm telling you, stay away. All they do is break hearts." Matt warns. I'm certain he's just being stupid. I mean, she's only a girl. A stunningly beautiful one, at that.

-

"You know, Mello, to this day I still can't believe you." Matt shakes his head in disappointment. What the hell is he on about? This just came out of no where.

"What? Where did this come from? What are you even on about?" I blink rapidly.

"I still don't believe you actually got with (Y/N). Didn't I warn you?" I furrow my eyes in anger.

"Dude. Stop. You're just jealous that I've got a girlfriend and you don't. (Y/N) is the best thing that's ever happened to me!"

"Mello, can't you see? She's a bad girl! Not the good kind of bad girl, either. She's playing you."

"You really think that about me, Matt?" (Y/N)'s silky voice floats through the air and she wraps both of her arms around one of mine, and I bring her to my chest, in a protective movement. "Do you think that of me too, Mello?" Her wide eyes look up at me and I can't help but feel shocked that she would think I could see her like that.

"Of course not! Matt, look what trouble you're causing. Just face the truth, Matt!" I growl at him angrily. He's really being problematic about (Y/N), it's driving a wedge in our friendship. I don't want to loose him, but (Y/N) comes first, always. But one thing I fail to notice is the smirk on (Y/N)'s face and the devilish glint in her eyes.

-

My phone buzzes and I growl out of anger and frustration. I'm trying to play a game, but (Y/N) keep blowing up my phone with texts.

'Hey Mells, hope you're not having too much fun gaming without me! ;) xx - (Y/N)'

What the hell? How does she know I'm gaming? Is she watching me...? She can't be.

'How did you know I was gaming? xx - Mello'

'I just know you so well, babe ;) xx - (Y/N)'

Oh, right, of course. Stupid me for thinking she was watching. I think I'm getting paranoid. She's always messaging me - don't get me wrong, I do love it, I love her, but sometimes I really wish that she'd leave me alone.

-

It's gone midnight and I'm shattered. I throw myself onto the bed, but a loud banging on the door forces me to rise to my feet again with a grunt of dissatisfaction. I make my way down the stairs and look through the peep hole to see who it could be. (Y/N). What the hell is she doing here? I'm trying to damn sleep! I feel horrible, but I don't want to answer the door. I turn on my heel to go back to be, but (Y/N)'s sweet angelic voice stops me in my tracks and like a witch has cast a spell on me, I turn back and look at the door longingly.

"Mells! I know you're there! I saw you looking through the peep hole!" With a soft sigh, I unlatch the door and she steps in with a big smile.

"Hi baby." I say tiredly and she pecks me on the cheek. Once more, I miss the sly smirk dancing on her petite face.

-

"Matt, I swear she's crazy! I think she's driving me crazy!" I flail my arms widely as I explain to Matt what's been going on with (Y/N).

"What's been going on, then?" Matt crosses his arms, leaning against his locker, he has a somewhat smug look on his face and I resent him slightly for that.

"She won't leave me alone! She comes to my house at all hours, she won't stop texting me, she's inside my brain, Matt!" I run a hand through my somewhat messy blonde hair. "I'm just so drained."

"Hate to say it, but I told you so." Matt shrugs with a grin and I just nod, he was right, after all.

"Hey Mells!" (Y/N) calls, happily skipping up to me. She tries to grab my arm, but I pull away.

"No! Stop!" I say urgently and she looks confused.

"What's wrong Mells? Are you feeling ill?" She tries to put a hand to my forehead and I back up further. As much as I convince myself I don't like her anymore, the pet name still gives my butterflies.

"I'm feeling fine, but you, you're crazy." I shake my head and look at her with a cold stare. "You and me - I'm calling it quits, right now." I state and she smirks, making me confused.

"Okay, whatever you say, Mells. Just don't come grovelling to me when you realize." She maintains the smirk and heads back to that group of girls. What does she mean, 'realize'?

-

"Matt!" I whine, slouching over to him.

"yeah?" From the smirk, I can tell he knows what this is about.

"She's all I can think about!" I wail again. "(Y/N) is just rooted in my brain!" I let my head fall hard against the locker.

"Don't worry, Mello, I know how you feel." Matt lands a comforting hand on my shoulder and I groan.

"No! You don't know what it's like!" Wow, I sound like a moody girl on her period.

"Yes, I do. They did it to me, too." I turn my head and stare him down with a confused look.

"I don't understand." I complain, grasping a handful of blonde hair and giving it a frustrated tug.

"You're not the first one they've ever caught. Definitely not (Y/N)'s first prey." He shakes his head again. "I did try to warn you. Those girls like to play with hearts like dolls. Love and feelings are just games for them to play, something they have to win, in. It's like a competition to them, a sport" He sighs. "I hate to say it, man. But, you're just another victim of the bad girls club."
