You died almost a year ago now. So you hadn't seen Mello in person for a year, though you were still as devoted to him as you ever were. If you ever got the chance to see him, you would jump for it without thought. He was your everything. Which is why, as you watch him die because of that damn Kiomi Takada, your eyes flow tears like leaky faucets. You had been content to watch him from heaven, you wanted to watch him for as long as you could. You were bawling like a baby, watching him die, because you knew he couldn't go to heaven. No chance in hell.
Watching him like that was the only way you would get to see him again. You watched the last of the life leave his body and you cried more. It left heaven and earth along with every single wish, hope and dream you ever had or will have. Mello was you wishes, hopes and dreams.
And for a week straight, you cried. Your love was separated from you; there was nothing you could do to change that now.
On the day that marked a week, you received a letter in a fiery red envelope and your heart leapt. You'd heard about letters from hell coming in fiery envelopes. Could this be... You gently prised the letter open.
'Dear (Y/N),
As soon as I got here - Hell that is - I looked up your name in some old book thing that says where people are, you know? Guess where it said you were? heaven! I suppose you are more innocent than I thought. No matter, You still mean the world to me either way.
I tried to come see you. I tried, I really did, but they wouldn't let me. Not that I'm particularly surprised by that, though. I don't know if you're still the same. I don't know if you even remember me, to be honest. I'm not sure if you even knew I died. Well, I did. It wasn't pretty, I just hope you didn't see how pathetic I looked.
I really miss you and I know I can't see you anymore. But, I want you to know, I still remember you, and I thought about you every day. I even visited your grave, though it hurt me somewhere inside. Did you see? It's probably best hoping you didn't. I cried, and must have seemed so pathetic.
You mean so much to me, I don't know how to explain it. I'm not good with this sappy stuff, you should know. But everything I did, I did it for you as well, because you never got the chance to. I hope you're doing well and are happy where you are. I hope you aren't too lonely without me, either. But, guess who I found down here too? Matt! did you know he died too? Yeah, his death wasn't so pretty. I hope you didn't see that, either.
But anyway, I miss you, (Y/N), and I really, really love you.
- From your love, who died like a dog, Mello.'
The letter made your heart skip beats over and over again. You clutched the delicate looking paper to your chest. It stung as well as soothed, knowing he thought about you. It was then you realised that you would do anything to get to him. Anything by any means. And that's exactly what you would do.
You ran straight to the arch angel and got onto the subject with out delay.
"Send me to hell." You stated, more as a demand.
"What?!" He almost choked.
"Send me to hell."
"Why would you want to-"
"To be with Mello." You had absolutely no hesitation.
"Who's-" You thrust the letter into his hands and he read through it. "Oh. Him. I've heard about him." he shook his head in what you assumed was disappointment.
"I would do anything to be with him." You beg.
"You realise that when you go there, you can't come back, right?" He raises and eyebrow.
"Like I said. I would do anything." He regarded you for a few moment before nodding.
"Alright."

The arch angel leads you through hell. Much like heaven, only, gray and much, much hotter. He stops at a house and knocks on the door, shielding you behind him, presumably in case he got the wrong place. The door opened and there he stood. Mello.
"Mihael Keehl?" He read from the sheet of paper in his hands.
"Yes?" Mello answered.
"I have a transfer from heaven." He states and nudges you forward, before turning and leaving.
"(Y/N)?!" He gasps. "What the hell?" He pulls you into a tight hug, pressing his lips to your forehead.
"I would do anything for you." You smile.
"(Y/N)," He sighs. "You should put yourself first."
"But Mello, I would follow you anywhere."
