Light Yagami, the world famous Kira, was your boyfriend. You loved him with all of your heart... You would have never guessed that he would be a cheater, but everyone has their secrets...

It was Friday night, and Light was walking you home after school. You knew what he was, and what he did, but you loved him regardless of that.

You walk up your drive way and turn to Light

"Goodbye, I'll see you at school." He says, kissing you gently

"Bye, I love you." You say, turning to open the front door

"I love you too, Y/N." As you walk in the door, he turns to leave and begin walking to his own house.

You set your bag on the floor of your bedroom and take out your textbooks, deciding that you would get a start on your homework tonight.

Ah, Saturday, every high schooler's favourite day of the week. Your mom had asked you to run to the store and grab some groceries for her before she'd gone to work, so you were on your way to town.

You got to the store and looked at the list your mom had given you; eggs, milk, butter, flour, sugar, vanilla, and a few other things. You think that your remember her saying that she was baking a cake, but you can't seem to remember if she had said why.

You buy the groceries and begin to make your way back home. You see a small cafe in the distance, and smile. This was your favourite cafe, for multiple reasons. One, the baked goods in the window were always beautiful to look at, and two, this is where Light had taken you on your first date.

You get to the cafe and look in the window, eyeing all of the beautifully decorated baked goods. As your eyes scan the cafe, you notice a familiar face; Light, and he's sitting at a table with some blonde chick.

You take a few deep breaths, and tell yourself that they're just friends, that is, until he leans across the table and kisses her.

You feel your heart break into a million little shards

How could he? You loved him...

When he pulls away and opens his eyes again, he sees you standing in the window of the cafe, and quickly realizes that you had seen the entire thing.

You turn and run from the cafe, dropping the groceries to the ground. Light stands from his table and begins to run after you.

"Y/N, wait!" He says, only making you cry harder, however, you do not stop running.

"Y/N!" He caches up to you and grabs your arm, making you both stop

"What? There's no excuse for what you were doing back there! I loved you! I thought you loved me!" You scream, hurt obvious in your voice

"Y/N, I do love you, I'm only using her. She's important for me to create the new world, the world where I will be a god and you will be my goddess." He says, trying to hug you

"No! I don't believe you! You're a cheater! I don't want to see you ever again!" You push away from him and turn to run back to your house. Light catches your arm again

"Y/N, I love you..." His voice is soft and gentle

"No you don't." You answer harshly, ripping your arm from his grasp and beginning to run back to your house.

Light was going to kill you. This thought haunted you as you ran back home. You knew about his plans, and that he was Kira, so there was no reason for him not to kill you.

If you were going to die, you thought you should at lest turn him into the police first, and you knew exactly who to go to.

You and L had met a few years ago, your (sister, brother, cousin etc.) was a victim of a murder case that he had solved, so you and your family got to meet him. He had told you then that if you ever needed him, that you could contact him, and he gave you a special number to call.

You run up to your room, tears still streaming down your cheeks. You take your cellphone out of your pocket and rummage through your desk drawer for the piece of paper that you had the number written on.

You find it and unfold it, and dial the number into your phone. You clear you throat and wait. Someone picks up, and you hear the voice of an older sounding man

"Hello?"

"Hello, I need to talk to L."

"One moment, please."

You hear some movement, and then you hear the voice that you remember belongs to L

"Hello?"

"Hi, it's Y/N. I have information on the Kira case that could lead to an arrest."

You feel pain in your chest, you're upset that you have to do this, you really did love Light...

"Alright, I'll have Watari pick you up." He then hangs up, you do the same.

You dry the tears off of your face and wait at the front door. You see a car with heavily tinted windows drive into your driveway. Assuming that's him, you walk out and open the door to the passengers seat.

The drive to the hotel is silent, no words are shared between you and the elder.

You soon arrive at a hotel and ride to the 24th floor in the elevator, then go to a room. The man, who you assume is Watari, uses a keycard to unlock the door, and the two of you step inside.

He leads you to what looks like a living room, and you see L, sitting in his frog-light crouch on the armchair.

"Y/N, please have a seat." L says, and motions to the couch across from himself.

You sit and begin to tell him everything you know. You end up crying again, and L gets Watari to bring you a box of tissues.

You finish talking, and wipe your eyes with another tissue

"Thank you, Y/N. I can definitely make an arrest with this information." You knew what that meant... Light was going to be sentenced to death...

You begin crying again, for you still had feelings for the cheater...

L had never been good in social situations, especially not when someone was crying. He knew he was supposed to comfort you, but wasn't quite sure how.

He decided to sit down beside you and put his arms around your shoulders, hoping that that would help you.

You, being the heartbroken mess that you were, leaned into his chest and continued to cry.

A few days had passed, and you were surprised that Light hadn't killed you yet. Like you knew he would be, Light was sentenced to death.

You were wrapped under the protective and comforting arm of L during the entire situation, almost as if he let go of you you would die.

Light had looked at you with such hurt in his eyes when he had found out that you were the one who had told L about him being Kira during his trial. You couldn't look him in the eyes after that, and now he was dead...

You had begun to fall for the world-famous detective once Light was gone. The process was slow, since you were still timid because of being cheated on, and L hadn't really had a girlfriend before, but now the two of you spend your days together, happier than ever.
