Also, just wondering, what are your thoughts about Misa Amane and Takada Kiyomi? (It doesn't have to be based on this story, I'm asking what do you think of them in the show?) 'Cause, well.. I dislike them both... (nuhatepls. kthnx)

Light's POV

I proceeded to storm off to my room. Locking the door, I slid myself down to the floor. Neither Ryuk nor Rem was here; I needed to be alone at this time. The curtains on the window were swaying moderately, as well as the pages of the Note. I reached out my hand to grab it, but hesitated quickly. You're not supposed to pour all your mixed emotions in this notebook, Light.

I sighed and touched my forehead. The wind brushed past my hair as I took another breath. I asked myself a couple of times, "Why am I doing all of these without knowing it?" There has to be an answer to it. Is it all because of (Y/N)? Am I being manipulated-no. Nobody would do that, and I'm pretty sure of it. My heart throbbed; I placed my hand on where it is, clasping my shirt. Something immediately popped up in my head: an answer. I looked down to my heart. All of these... is this really because-

A knock or two on the door interrupted me.

Narrator's POV

You were the one who knocked the door, worriedly. "Light-kun, open the door..please..!" you said, knocking once more. The door opened, at last, revealing Light wearing an emotionless look once he saw you. "What do you want, (Y/N)?" he monotonously asked.

"Um.. er..." you fiddled your fingers, figuring out how to put it into words. "S-Sorry for making you mad, Light-kun... I really didn't expect that reaction from you."

"Why even bother to say sorry when it's all over?" he pushed you aside and began to walk away, but paused. "...Sorry about earlier. I wasn't completely thinking about that." He then continued trailing off until he was out of your sight. "Light-kun..."

"WHAT?!? REALLY?!" the members of the task force exclaimed in perfect unison. L took one last sip of his sugar-filled drink and cleared his throat. "Yes. Yagami Light will help us solve the Kira case starting tomorrow."

"But, didn't you tell us before that you expected Light-san to be Kira?!" Matsuda frantically rose from his seat.

"Yes, I did. Now don't interfere." the detective stood up from his chair as well and began leaving the room. "L and I have our own plan to know whether or not he is Kira. Like what he said, don't interfere. Stay out of this, unless you're one of the people who already know the plan." Miharu added and followed L. The door slammed shut after that, leaving the rest of the members silent. Aizawa broke the quiet moment, telling everyone "Try and watch out for Light-kun. Who knows, L could be right." The rest nodded in approval, excluding Light's father, Soichiro. "Light, you were acting strange lately... What's actually bothering you? What's making you lock yourself up in your room all the time?" he thought deeply.

"Miharu-chan?" L turned his gaze to her face. "Continue doing your task. Make sure both of you are close enough so that she puts her trust in you."

"Of course. I will." she nodded in response, slowly reaching out her hand for her to grab his. "I couldn't imagine what would happen if Kira'd win."

"Kira won't win, and I'm 99% sure of it."

~Next Day~

Light was accompanied by Mogi to the designated room of their meeting with the rest of the members of the Kira investigation. Kanzo wished "good luck" to him before entering the place.

The very first thing that caught his attention was a man crouching on his chair, biting his thumb. He fixed his gaze to Light. "Welcome to the team, Yagami-kun."
