(A/N): Couldn't think of a title, so yeah. This was requested so I hope this is to their liking! And I've actually done one of these before in my last L X Reader book so be sure to check that out too. Also, I do not wish to offend anyone with this oneshot.

"Here. Open your mouth."

"This is so embarrassing!"

"Come on (Y/N). How else are you going to be able to eat?"

It was time for my dinner, but I had to get L to feed it to me for the first time.
Why? Well, recently I had been caught up in an awful car accident and I'm unable to move my arms and legs so I'm stuck in this wheelchair. This also means I can't do most things and all the things I love to do or want to do in the future are all gone now.

"If you don't open your mouth, I won't be able to feed you. And it's not good for your body if you don't eat", L says to me.

I looked away to try and hide my blush even though I know I can't.

"Aww. Are you getting all flustered because I'm feeding you (Y/N)?" L smiled.

"N-No! Why would you think that?!" I say back, making L laugh.

"Come on. You're food will get cold if you don't eat it now", L stated, still holding the fork out to me.

I let out a quiet sigh and open my mouth, letting L feed me.

"Good girl", L said, making me blush more.

I didn't really say anything for the rest of the time L fed me.
Once he had finished feeding me, he put everything away.

"So, what would you like to do now?" He asked me.

"You should go back to work", I say. "You're keeping yourself away from important work to take care of me. There's far more people in this world that need taken care of besides me. You should be helping them instead of me."

"(Y/N), I am doing my best to help others as well", L said. "But it is very important that I take care of you too. One, because you are sitting right next to me and I can't have you sitting here, watching everyone else work whilst you are unable to do anything because of the condition. I have to make sure you are kept busy and entertained, and two, because you are special to me so I need to make sure you are safe and taken care of."

His words made my heart race. L just admitted that I'm special to him? Is this guy really L?

"B-But..."

I stop, knowing that this was L that I was talking to and that there'd be no way for me to win this argument.

"Okay...Thank you..." I whisper.

L smiled down at me.

"Now I'll ask again, what would you like to do now?"

"Umm...Wait! I remember. I'd like to see the cherry blossoms fall. They're supposed to fall off the trees today and I'd love to be there to see them", I reply.

"Okay then. That's not a problem."

"Look L, there really is no need to-"

"I'll say it again (Y/N). It's important that I take care of you. I want you to be safe and feel happy. So I'll do what I can to make that happen", L replied before pushing my wheelchair towards the doors of the taskforce.

"Be sure to keep working", he said to the others who nodded in response and out we went.

-Time Skip-

"Alright, we're here. You can open your eyes now", L said.

I open my eyes and I am met with the gorgeous scene of cherry blossoms falling from the trees. It was so pretty.

"Wow...I never thought I'd see them in person. They're so much more beautiful..." I whisper.

"Yes, seeing them face to face is a lot better than seeing them in an anime", L stated making me giggle.

"You see (Y/N)? It's good for you to feel happy like this. Ever since that accident you were in, I know life has been extremely difficult for you."

"Yeah..." I say, looking away.

"You even tried to kill yourself."

I shot my attention to L and gasped.

"H-how do you-?!"

"I have my ways."

I sigh.

"I just don't want to see you suffer any more pain. What happened in that accident was not your fault and there was no reason for you to blame yourself like you did. And even if you can't move freely anymore, you should be thankful for where you are. Some people don't even get lucky like you did. You're lucky to still be alive", L stated.

I nodded as I felt tears forming in my eyes.

L came over to me and knelt down in front of me.
He noticed my tears and immediately felt guilty.

"I'm sorry I made you feel upset", he said, wiping away my tears.

"It's okay...You're right."

"I got a little off topic there. We should be having fun together. That's why I brought you out here isn't it?"

"Yeah."

Once we had watched the blossoms fall, I insisted that we head back to the taskforce. But L decided against it and took me for a walk.

"This isn't like you at all", I giggle.

"There are many things you don't know about me (Y/N)", he replied.

L walked me down a busy shopping centre.

I started to feel a little uneasy about this. With the condition I'm in, being around a lot of people isn't my strong point.

"Umm...L? I feel a little uncomfortable here. Maybe we should go somewhere else", I stated.

"Oh yeah. Sure. Sorry about that."

We were about to leave, when I noticed a small teddy bear flying across the air and landing on my lap making L and I a little confused.

"Sorry about that!"

A young girl ran over to us.

"My brother was being mean to me and threw my teddy, Bubbles, away. Would you mind handing it over please?" She said politely.

"I'm afraid I can't move sweetie", I say.

"Huh?"

"I was caught up in an accident and had to go to hospital. Now I'm stuck in this wheelchair."

"Oh that's horrible!"

"Yeah, you just have to be careful with what you're doing", I say politely back.

"I hope you get well soon", the girl smiled.

"Thank you", I smiled back.

Soon enough, a woman who I was assuming was the girl's mother and a boy who was most likely her brother came over.

"There you are Emilia! Don't go running off like that! Let's go!" The woman said.

"Mummy! This woman was in an accident!" The girl pointed to me.

"Hey, you shouldn't really be talking-" L began but I stopped him.

"It's alright Ryuzaki."

"Really?! That's awful! I'm so sorry to hear that!" The woman said. "I hope things get better for you."

"Thank you so much. You're very kind", I reply.

The three bowed at me and the girl took her teddy bear then they all left.

"Would you look at that? People are looking out for you (Y/N)", L said with a smile.

"You're right", I smiled back.

"That's a wonderful thing. They want you to be happy too, just like I do."

"Yeah..."

"Let's head back now."

I nod.

-Another Time Skip-

It had gotten pretty dark on our way back to the taskforce. I began to look at the stars.

"Thanks for taking me out today L", I say after a while.

"As I mentioned, I want you to enjoy the rest of your time alive and be happy. I don't want you to suffer again", L said. "I've been there before and I hated seeing you suffer after that tragic accident. I can't let any more of that happen to you (Y/N)."

I smile.

"If I could move freely right now, I'd get up and-"

I cut myself off and I felt my cheeks heat up.

"You'd what?" L asked in confusion.

"N-Nothing", I say, looking away.

L stopped pushing my wheelchair and walked in front of me, smiling at me.

Before I could say anything, I suddenly felt L's lips against mine for a moment making me blush madly.

"You wanted to do that right?" He asked after pulling away.

"Uh...um...!"

L just laughed.

It was at that moment when I realised this could be the start of something really special.

Maybe my life will get better.
