(A/N): L may be a little out of character for this fanfic to work. It's also probably gonna be a little short. Sorry about that ^^;

It turns out, something that you found out about a few months ago, was that during his spare time, L made videos. He was a YouTuber.

And since the two of you had started going out around that time, he started putting you in his videos too.

Being a detective and all, L's YouTube channel mainly involved commentary videos, where he'd watch a video or parts of a video, and make comments about it, sharing his opinions or theories. But now since he had you in some of his videos, his channel changed up a bit, giving out new content. Like different challenge videos or reviewing products.

Despite L only really uploading a video once every month or two, his channel blew up and he received millions of subscribers within the first few videos he uploaded.

Although, a solid 25% of those people had only subscribed because of you. They even mentioned in comment sections themselves that they thought you looked too pretty and subscribed because they didn't want to miss any videos that involved you, which creeped you out a bit.

L got pretty mad about that and even made a video about the topic, saying that you were his girlfriend and he was not gonna allow strangers on the internet try and comment flirty messages to try and get to you.

L had been successful in his YouTube career and you enjoyed helping his channel out, jumping in videos and such. The two of you became very well recognised by the public. Although that didn't change the fact that L still didn't like going out in public.

The two of you had become so well known that not only had you gained popularity, your own merch store, fanart and sponsors, but there was also something else that you and L had gained due to your popularity.

Fanfiction...

Neither of you knew about the fanfiction until you both returned home from taskforce one day. It was the Christmas holidays and all members of taskforce had gone home to spend time with their families over the break. You were going to visit your family in two days and L hadn't found any cases he was personally interested in after he solved the last one, so he decided to come home with you.

"What a day..." you sigh, throwing your jacket on the arm of the sofa.

"At least you can relax for a while now (Y/N). You can spend the Christmas break and New Year with your family" L said, slowly taking off his scarf and hanging it up.

"Yeah. I'm going to see them in two days so until then, I can spend some time with you!" You say, grabbing his hand and pulling him to the sofa.

"I'm happy to hear you say that" L smiled slightly and sat down on the sofa next to you.

"So, how should we spend the rest of the day?" You ask him.

L thought for a moment before turning to you and smiling.

"I was thinking of making a YouTube video tonight. You can be in it. What do you say?"

Your eyes lit up.

"Yes! That sounds so fun!"

L smiled more at the sight of you looking excited and happy.

"What idea for a video do you have in mind?" You asked L.

"Well..."

L stood up and went to get his laptop, returning a few seconds later.

"I was reading comments from my last video and someone stated that there was something called 'Fanfiction' made about myself and you and suggested we read this so called 'Fanfiction'."

"...Oh...Are we that recognised by the public now?" You say, laughing nervously.

L just gave you a confused look.

"If there's Fanfiction made of us, then it's as if we're famous or something!"

L shook his head, laughing a little and turned on his laptop.

"The commenter said that I should look at a website called Wattpad or something? They said that's where all the good Fanfiction usually comes from" he said.

"I see..."

L's laptop loaded up and he got onto Wattpad.

"I don't know where to look first...I've never used this before..."

"Well, we have to start with the obvious one..." You say, shuffling over, leaning over L's shoulder and moving the cursor to the search bar to begin your search.

L X (Y/N) Fanfics.

You clicked enter on L's keyboard and once everything loaded up, both your eyes widened.

There was so many. These fans have way too much time on their hands.

"I have no idea what any of this is..." L said, getting a little worried about what to expect.

"Oh boy. We're in for a treat..." You sigh. "Better get the camera set up."

You left to get L's video camera, whilst L scrolled through the endless amounts of Fanfiction involving you and the detective.

"So it's like...stories of our love? But these weren't written by real authors. They were written by fans of the channel, who aspire to become authors" L said to himself, unsure about what to think of any of this.

Once you returned with the camera, L set it up along with everything else he needed and the recording began.

"Greetings everyone" L said, looking into his camera. "This is Hideki and I'm joined again by the lovely (Y/N)-"

"Hi there!"

"Now, today we're doing something a little different. (Y/N) and I were requested to read Fanfiction so we're gonna go ahead and do that."

L's eyes went back to his laptop screen.

"I'm not sure what any of this is. (Y/N), fill me out here, please."

"Let's just read the first one" you say, moving the cursor over the first Fanfiction your eyes landed on.

"What's that one?" L asked, pointing at the screen.

"This one is called 'L X (Y/N) - Unconditional Love.'" You read out.

"Sounds....great" L states, making you laugh.

"Let's give it a read" you said, clicking on the story.

The story loaded up and the two of you got ready to read.

"It says it was written by (Insert Random Username here)" L said.

You clear your throat and started reading the first part.

"It was a lovely summer's day. The weather was nice and a peaceful atmosphere surrounded young (Y/N)."

"I mean, I am over 20 years old but I'll take that as a compliment" you laugh before getting back to reading.

"She was going to meet a group of her friends in the city and was very excited."

"Bold of you to assume I have a group of friends" you joke.

"I've seen your friends. Don't lie to the viewers" L said with a smile.

"But as she was walking down the busy streets, she felt someone bump into her, causing her to fall over. "Ouch!" She said, rubbing the back of her head."

"It's a busy city, yet no one is gonna help a girl that's been knocked over?" L said.

"Apparently not" you say.

"'I am terribly sorry. Are you alright?'" L read this time. "(Y/N) looked up to see a tall man, staring down at her with dark eyes. He offered her his hand which she took and he helped her up."

"Okay, I forgot what's going on right now. How is this happening in a busy street?" You laugh.

You and L read some more until you reached the end of the first chapter.

"That was alright I guess" L stated. "I'd like to see what happens next."

"Go ahead."

L clicked to the next page and began to read page two.

"That was the first day we met. It feels like it was yesterday since we can remember every part of it."

"That wasn't how we met" L states.

"A fan isn't gonna know how we met" you laugh and began reading the next part.

"And it felt like every moment we've spent together would lead to this moment-"

"I don't like where this is going" you interrupt yourself.

"Alone at night, with the man I loved dearly, him sending me waves of pleasure right now-"

"OH MY GOD! WE ARE HAVING SEX IN THIS STORY!" You yell, cutting off L and putting both hands on your head. "FUCK THAT!"

"Nope! Not doing that! We're not even married! That comes after marriage!" L stated.

"I mean, we might be married in the story but Jesus Christ! That certainly escalated quickly!" You say.

"Okay, maybe I don't wanna know what happens next..." L said.

"Let's find another one..." You say, quickly getting off the Fanfic and finding another one.

"Okay. This one is called 'L X (Y/N) - My Love.' This one sounds safe" you say, clicking on it.

"'(Y/N), my love' I state as the two of us stripped down to our-"

"What the hell?! Why are people writing these weird stories about us?!" You shout.

You and L flip through loads of Fanfics, but most of them always ended up with the two of you doing gross, dirty things to each other. It came to the point that you and L got scared of the stories and L quickly closed his laptop lid.

The two of you were in silence for a few seconds.

"I just can't get over the fact that these are fans, writing these stories about us..." You whisper.

"We haven't even gotten that far in our relationship yet..." L also whispered.

"What do you mean 'yet'?" You ask, shocked.

"Well...I mean..."

L quickly turned back to the camera to avoid the embarrassment of what he just said.

"What do you guys think of us? Honestly! Our relationship is soft, not...that..."

"Those are there and there is no way we can get rid of them..." You say.

"Th-Thanks for watching everyone. If you enjoyed this sorry excuse for a video, please feel free to leave a like and comment. "I don't want to ever read any of these again..." You rock back and forward, staring at the floor, eyes wide.

"Thank you all and see you in the next video!" L said and ended the video.

"That...was awful..." You say.

"Very..." L replied.

"Real people...Real fans..."

"At least it's done now. We don't have to worry about any of that anymore" L said, wrapping and arm around your shoulders.

"Won't you need to watch the video footage back so you can edit it?" You ask L.

"...Shit..."
