Being half wolf is no walk in the park.

You were always anxious of being in crowded areas in case you were to unleash your true form and scare everyone.

Your parents abandoned you at a young age due to the fact you lashed out a lot and transformed into a wolf. They couldn't handle you and left you in a cave in the middle of nowhere on your own at a very young age.

You didn't know what to do. You didn't like being a wolf as everyone always thought they were bad and a danger to the world. They were hunted down and killed and you didn't know the reason behind it.

Because of this, you decided it would be for the best to remain human as much as possible and live life doing regular human things. It would be safer for everyone as well as yourself.

So that's what you did. You decided to start a new life as a human and picked yourself up from your past. You managed to get yourself a job at a private taskforce.
How you may ask? You helped out a police officer who was tailing a suspect for a very important case and he wanted to take you in.

He then took you to a huge building and introduced you to the team he was working with.

His boss then decided to test your deductive skills by giving you some tricky questions and files to sort out.

Once he found out you were pretty smart, he decided to take you on.

It was at that moment you realised that the boss was actually the world's greatest detective!

It was incredible finding out you helped out the man known as L. He said your deductive skills were excellent and wanted you on his team.

And that's how that happened.

Also, the relationship between you and L grew close. You adored L and wanted to keep him safe and you soon realised that he loved you the same way when you confessed.

As time went on, you and L made many good memories together. But everyday you fear for the noment that L may discover the secret that you have been hiding from him for so long...

And this is where you are now...

It was the middle of the day and everyone was working hard. L and the others were sitting at their computers going over files and other stuff you didn't fully understand just yet.
You on the other hand, were sitting at a table going over documents on suspects for the case you were working on.

It was so quiet until L had to say something.

"Please excuse me for a second everyone" he said as he stood up. "There's another box of tapes we need to go over in the other room. I'll go and get them."

You nod at him and he left the room.

And when he was out of sight, you hear the taskforce begin to talk.

"Hey, have you noticed how distant (Y/N) is?"

You froze as you hear the taskforce talk about you.

"Yeah, she never actually does any hard work. She's always stuck with the easy work!"

"Exactly! A two year old could do her work!"

You tried to ignore them and get back to your work, but it was very distracting...

"Why did you even bring her here Matsuda? She can't do anything! I thought her deductive skills were awesome! But she isn't even doing anything to help us!"

'Stop it!' You thought.

They were beginning to trigger you. This wasn't good. If they kept saying mean things about you, you could transform at any moment! You couldn't let that happen! You had to keep your anger inside.

You closed your eyes tightly and tried to think of something else, but it wasn't easy.

"I bet she's only hear so she can get to L. It's obvious she really likes him."

"It's disgusting."

"She needs to leave."

That was it.

"P-Please stop saying mean things about me!" You stood up and turned to face the taskforce who turned around to look at you in surprise at the sound of your voice.

You had clenched fists and gritted teeth. You were so close but you were doing your best to remain calm.

"Well, it's all true (Y/N). You don't do anything here! You think you can get away with slacking off here? Well, you can't! So you either step up or leave! To be honest, it'd be better if you do leave cause no one even likes you anyway!" Aizawa said.

You felt tears forming in your eyes.

"L doesn't even like you either! You think L will just fall in love with someone like you?! Please! You've gotta be kidding me! L's just putting on an act!" Light said.

You couldn't do it anymore...

"GRRR! JUST SHUT UP!!"

You scream, your fingers change to claws and your teeth grow into fangs. Ears grow on your head and your tail grows out.

"JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!"

The taskforce froze and remained silent at the sight of your transformation. That sure gave them a scare.

It was at that moment that L walked back into the room carrying the box of tapes.

He froze and his eyes widened when he saw you and dropped the box of tapes instantly.

The sound of the box hitting the floor made your attention shoot to L, making you instantly regret everything.

You then turned on your heels and booked it out the building.

"Wait! (Y/N)!" L called after you but you were gone.

It was silent.

L glared at the taskforce members.

"Okay, what the heck happened?" He asked.

The other members of the taskforce felt guilty and looked down at the ground.

"Of course you guys were responsible for this" L said, folding his arms. "How irresponsible."

The taskforce remained silent.

"Should we go after her?" Light asked.

"I'll go after (Y/N)" L stated. "She's clearly not in any state to look at any of you."

L then slipped on his beaten up shoes.

"Watari, get the car ready" he said, running out the building.

"Yessir" Watari went after him and the two got in the car. Watari started it up and the two drove off.

"We can track (Y/N) using the belt we gave her when we first took her in" L said. "She's still wearing it."

"Understood" Watari continued to drive.

You thought you could get away, but you completely forgot you had your belt on that displayed your location on a screen in Watari's car.

"Hurry Watari. (Y/N)'s in a difficult state right now!" L stated.

Watari went as fast as he could down the busy streets.

-Meanwhile-

You were curled up in a ball in the cave you always used to call home as a child.

"I feel safer here...I should've just stayed here and remained a wolf for the rest of my life..."

You began to cry.

"Now L's gonna hate me and I could never go back to the taskforce and have the good life I had..."

You lay down inside the cave, sobbing.

Soon, you hear something.

It sounded like a car engine...

It then stopped close to your cave.

"Go away..." You whisper.

You hear a car door open then shut.

"(Y/N)!"

'L?!'

What was he doing here? There was no reason for him to come and find you!

You then noticed his footsteps get closer to your cave and soon enough, he peered inside to see you.

"S-Stay away! I don't want to hurt you!" You cry.

"Oh (Y/N)..." L came inside the cave and sat down next to you.

You looked at him, only to cry even more.

"I'm so sorry L! I never meant to lash out on the others or scare you! And I'm really sorry I kept this a secret from you for so long! I was scared and thought you'd abandon me like my family did! I've always been left on my own and when I realised you felt the same way I felt about you, I thought that my life could finally be good, but then I had to go and do that and now you probably hate me and everyone probably hates me! I'm really sorry L!"

L just watched you cry for a second as he let all that sink in but he then pulled you into a hug, surprising you.

"L..."

"Please don't cry (Y/N). It's all gonna be fine" he said, reassuringly and stroking your hair. "I understand what you've went through. I was abandoned at a young age too so I know what it's like to be alone."

"What?"

L was opening up to you? That's strange. He never does that with anyone. So...why?

"I trust you enough to tell you that (Y/N)..."

He trusts you...

"When I found out you had feelings for me, I was shocked but I was happy. You're the first person who's ever loved me. I've been a broken person with nothing, but that all changed when I knew you."

You gasped a little as your cheeks heat up.

"You think I wouldn't understand what you're going through? Believe me, I do (Y/N)."

He hugged you tighter and you calmed down a little.

"I actually knew about your secret way before now" L stated.

"WHAT?!"

"I have my ways (Y/N)" L laughed.

He is the world's greatest detective after all.

It was silent for a moment as you just remained in L's arms.

"...So, you don't hate me?" You asked.

"Of course I don't hate you (Y/N). I could never hate the one I love. And believe me, I'm not putting on an act. I love you from the bottom of my heart (Y/N)" L said with a smile.

You relaxed and smiled back, hugging L back.

"Wolves are cool. You shouldn't be ashamed of who you are (Y/N). You are amazing."

L really was an amazing person. He was always looking out for you and made you feel special and like you had a purpose.

You hug him tightly and kiss his cheek.
