L's Pov

Her name is (Y/N).

I like her.

I really like her.

She's different from the others I work with.

Although there is a slight problem...

Whenever I try to admit that I like her, she seems to lash out and attack me. Even a simple smile will set her off.

I haven't given up on her though because of that. I guess some people are like that.

It was just another normal day. I sat there staring at the monitors displaying Light Yagami and Misa Amane, while sipping on my coffee.

I soon spot (Y/N) sit next to me.

"What are you looking at?!" She snapped. Her cheeks went slightly pink.

"Good morning to you too", I say back.

"Hmph!" (Y/N) turned to her computer and pushed the power button.

"I'm super pissed!" She said, slamming her hands on the keyboard. "This stupid computer won't turn on!"

"That's because you haven't flicked the switch at the plug socket", I say, reaching over and flicking the switch on.

The computer started up as normal.

"There you go", I sat back down.

I noticed (Y/N)'s cheeks go bright red.

"I-I could have figured that out by myself you know!" (Y/N) shouts, folding her arms and looking away.

I shake my head and turn back to the monitors.

-Later-

"Finished all the files you asked for", (Y/N) approached me and dumped a stack of paper on the desk in front of me.

"Thank you very much (Y/N). This will be very beneficial to the case. I appreciate your help", I say to her.

"I-It's not like I did them specifically for you or anything, idiot!" (Y/N) said.

"I was only saying thank you".

"Yeah! W-Well...Whatever!"

(Y/N) put her hands on her hips and stormed off.

I sigh and draw my attention back to the files.

"Don't worry about it Ryuzaki", Matsuda sat down in front of me.

"She's only acting this way because she doesn't want to admit that she likes you back", he said.

I look up at him.

"What?"

"It's true. Have a look here", Matsuda pulled out a manga and showed it to me.

"These characters are portrayed as Tsunderes. (Y/N) acts a lot like them, don't you think?"

I nod slowly.

"It's all to hide her embarrassment and feelings towards you. Don't get the wrong idea. She does like you back Ryuzaki", Matsuda said. "She just lashes out because she doesn't want you to notice".

"I see..."

"It'll be hard to get her to admit that she likes you, so you'll have to be careful".

"I understand", I say. "I have an idea".

-Later that night-

(Y/N)'s Pov

I start packing my things away and get ready to head home.

"(Y/N), can you wait a second? I need to talk to you in private", I hear L say.

I feel my cheeks heat up.

"W-Well, you better make it quick! I haven't got time for this!" I snap.

L walked right up to me.

'Why is he getting so close?!' I thought.

"Wh-What are you doing?!" I ask.

"(Y/N), there is something I must tell you..." L started.

'What?! Is he gonna...?!'

"G-Get away from me!" I say.

I go to push L away, but he grabs my wrists and pins me to a wall.

"Don't try to lash out on me", L said.

My face went bright red.

'Shit! Shit!'

"Idiot! Leave me alone!" I say, turning my head away in embarrassment.

'I can't believe this is happening!!'

L grabbed my chin and pulled my head so I was staring L straight in the eyes.

"I'm pretty certain that you like me back (Y/N). You just don't want to admit it, don't you?" He said, a small smirk growing on his face.

My face goes bright red.

"I-I don't like you! Idiot!"

'I...I don't know what to do!!'

Without even realising it, L pressed his pale lips against mine, tilting his head slightly.

'What the fuck?! WHAT THE FUCK?!'

As much as I wanted to hit him right now...I kinda liked this feeling...

'Gah!! What the hell am I thinking?!'

'But...'

I gave in...

I accepted the kiss.

It was something I wanted, even if it did embarrass the shit out of me.

L then pulled away for air. He put his cold hand to my cheek and stared into my eyes.

"You couldn't resist couldn't you? I knew you would like it", he says, smirking at me again.

"W-Well-"

"I knew it".

L stepped back from the wall.

"IDIOT!!!" I kicked L in the face.

"IF YOU TRY ANYTHING LIKE THAT ON ME AGAIN, I SWEAR I'LL HAVE YOU CHARGED WITH SEXUAL HARASSMENT!!" I snap, storming off in anger and embarrassment.

L's Pov

I rub my now throbbing cheek where (Y/N) kicked me.

I smile to myself.

"She's the one".
