It was time for the show to begin. You and L had managed to remember all the lines. You had your hair and make-up done too, even though L was very annoyed about that.

You were standing backstage, waiting for your cue to enter. Misa was giving a speech to the audience just to apologise for the sudden incidents that have happened.

"I'm still quite nervous", you say.

"Don't worry (Y/N). You'll be fine", L said to you, making you blush a little.

Soon, Misa walked off the stage and you heard clapping from the audience.

It was time...

-Small Time Skip-

You were halfway through the show. Everything was going well.

"O Romeo! Why must we live like this? Our families are what's keeping us separated! If only we could find a way to be together!" You say your line perfectly with a lot of emotion.

"Everything is going great so far!" Misa said as she watched from backstage.

Soon, L walked onstage and came over to you as he got ready to say his line.

Silence...

Uh oh.

"Um (Y/N)? I...forgot the line..." L whispered to you, causing your eyes to widen and sweat pour down your face.

"Uh...M-Make something up!" You whispered back.

"Misa Misa, something's not right!" Mogi called to her.

"What are they doing?!" Misa said.

"Um...O Juliet! I'm s-sure we can be together one day! I love you and my love for you will never die!" L says, kneeling down in front of you.

You started shifting a little, embarrassed. One, because he was saying the wrong things, and two, because he was admitting that he loved you.

'No he's not! It's part of the play', you thought.

"I don't think that's what the line is", you hear a member from the audience say.

"This is a disaster!" Misa said.

"Say something (Y/N)!" L whisper yelled to you.

"I-I don't know what to say!" You whisper back.

It was silent as you began sweating horribly.

"Say something Juliet!" Another person called out from the audience.

"This show sucks!" Says another person.

Soon enough, people were shouting 'BOO!' And yelling for you to get off the stage. You cover your mouth and feel tears forming.

"Hey! You don't know how hard it is to perform in front of such a big crowd!" L shouts.

"Shut up!" A man stood up and threw what appeared to be a can of soda at you and L.

"Let's go!" You say, grabbing L's arm and and pulling him offstage.

"What the hell happened there?! You've ruined everything!!" Misa yelled.

"As I'm sure you know, I don't act! So that was all new to me! I never meant to ruin your show", L says.

Misa stormed off with Mogi. You sink down and started sobbing into your hands.

"So ungrateful. I volunteer like she asked and try my best. But she's still not happy".

L noticed you crying and kneeled down next to you.

"(Y/N), please don't cry", he said. It was obvious he didn't really know what to do.

"I'm useless", you sob.

"No you're not. It's my fault", L said. "I caused the show to go downhill".

"Misa will never forgive me", you say.

"It's Misa. She'll forget about it within a day or two".

You try to wipe away your tears.

"I'm sorry", you say again.

"Don't be", L said, patting your head a little too hard, causing you to giggle a little.

You used this as an opportunity to grab L by the collar and pressing your lips against his, kissing him sweetly.

The kiss soon broke and you then realise what you just did.

"I-I'M SORRY!" You shout, throwing a hand over your mouth.
"I-I just got lost in the moment!"

L just sat there, dazed for a moment.

"Why the hell did I do that?!" You ask yourself, hiding your now extremely red face with your hands.

You then hear shuffling beside you and you feel L take your hands away from your face. You notice how close he is to to your face.

"It's alright (Y/N). Because I like you too".

And with that, he pressed his lips against yours and kissed you softly. You took a moment to let that sink in, before kissing him back.

"I love you, my Juliet", L says, staring into your eyes.

"I love you too Romeo", you reply.
