(Y/N)'s Pov

I was really nervous. My boyfriend, L was coming with me to meet my family for the first time. Usually, my family are quick to judge whenever I bring a friend over. Especially my sister. She's always checking to see if my friends are 'good enough' for someone like me. It makes no sense, I know. I hope it's different today though!

L and I walked to the front door of the house I used to live in and I knocked on the door.

"That's the door mum!" I could hear my sister yell at my mother. My family were very weird, which made me feel more nervous. What if L didn't like my family? What if he thought they were too loud, or annoying?

"Yeah, I can here it (S/N)!" My mum shouted back. I could hear footsteps coming towards the door.

"Come on (D/N)! Lie in your own bed and not in the middle of the hall!" I could hear my mum telling our dog to shoo. I giggled a bit, and L smiled.

I heard the door open to find my mum standing there. Our dog was also trying to get out the door.

"(S/N)! Come and get the dog to lie down!" My mum yelled. I laughed nervously and scratched the back of my head.

"(Y/N)! It's good to see you again!" My mum says, pulling me into a hug.

"Yeah! You too!" I say, hugging my mother back.

She pulled away and turned to face L.

"And who is this gentleman?" My mum asked, trying to sound fancy, but just looking like an idiot.

"Please call me Ryuzaki", L said, bowing to my mum. My mum kindly bowed back.

"He's my boyfriend, mum", I say nervously.

My mum gasped. "See! I knew you would end up getting a boyfriend, (Y/N)! I knew it! It's nice to meet you Ryuzaki!" My mother says, giving him a closed eyes smile.

"Same to you", L replies, smiling back.

"Come inside guys!" My mum gestured for us to come in.

"It's a very nice house", L says, looking around as we walk in.

"Everyone! We have visitors!" My mum yelled. "I'll make you guys some tea!" She soon left for the kitchen.

I saw my sister come out of the kitchen, my older brother come out of his room, and my little brother stop playing with his toys.

"Good to see you again, (Y/N)" My brother says, giving me a quick hug. "Who's this?" He asked, looking at L.

"I'm Ryuzaki", L says, holding out his hand for a handshake.

"I'm (B/N)", my brother took L's hand and shook it. Before L could let go of his hand, my brother squeezed it as tight as he could, almost breaking L's hand!

"Now, see if you ever hurt my little sister? I will come after you like a pack of wolves!" He said in a VERY serious tone, glaring into L's eyes.

L looked scared. He tried to take his hand out of (B/N)'s grip but he couldn't.

"(B/N)!! Stop it!" I yell, trying to pull him off L.

"Sorry (Y/N)", my brother replies and let's go of L's hand.

"Nice to meet you by the way", (B/N) says, trying to act like nothing happened. L nodded at him, still too scared to speak. "Now, if you'll excuse me". (B/N) walked back into his room. Probably to play Fortnite or something. Typical (B/N)!

"So, you're (Y/N)'s boyfriend?" My sister asks, looking L up and down.

"That's right!" I say smiling.

"Hmm...you look really depressed! Are you okay? Maybe I could do your make up and hair?!"

"(S/N), please!" I say.

"No, that's alright", L says, slowly backing away from my sister.

"It's not that bad!" My sister pouts and grabs the hairbrush that's sitting on the table and starts brushing L's hair. It was cute, so I couldn't help but giggle.

"Although, you really need to wash your hair though!" My sister said.

"(S/N)! Stop it! That's enough!" I say. I grabbed the hairbrush out her hand and lightly hit her on the head with it.

"You're embarrassing us!" I say. "Go and feed (D/N) or something!"

"Fine!" My sister pouts again and walks away, but stops and turns to face L.

"Listen you. You kinda look a bit gross, but if you treat (Y/N) like an angel, then I'll be happy and I won't be mean to you. But if that doesn't happen, you'll get what's coming to you!" She gave L an evil smirk and walked away.

"Stop scaring him!" I yell after her.

"Your family sure is something else" L exclaims.

"I'm sorry if they're scaring you, or making you feel uncomfortable" I said to him.

"No, that's alright (Y/N)", L replies. "I now know where you get your weirdness from", he chuckled.

"Hey!" I say, playfully hitting his arm and laughing too.

"(Y/N)!" I hear a voice and look down to see my little brother looking up at me. He was small, only came up to my stomach. He gave me a little hug and looked up at L.

My little brother blushed and hid his face in my stomach.

"You don't have to be scared, (L/B/N)!" I say to him, stroking his hair. "Ryuzaki won't hurt you! Say hi!"

My little brother took his face out my stomach and looked at L, who smiled and waved at him to be polite.

"H-Hello", my little brother says to L.

"Hello", L replies. "What's your name?"

"(L/B/N)", my little brother replied.

"It's nice to meet you (L/B/N). My name is Ryuzaki" L says.

"R-Roozak?" My little brother tries his best to pronounce the name.

L and I laugh.

"You've almost got it", L says.

"Roozak, will you play with me with my toys?" My little brother asked, letting me go.

"Oh okay. If you want me to", L says.

My little brother grabbed L's hand and pulled him towards his toys.

I watched and giggled as they played with Lego and Transformers together.

Soon, my mum came to the living room and put a hand on my shoulder.

"Wow. You're boyfriend seems to be getting on really well already!" My mum says. "He's fitting in well".

"Yeah, you're right!" I reply, still looking at the two in front of me.

"You chose a very caring man, (Y/N)" My mum told me. "He's very nice".

"Ryuzaki is the best" I say. "I wouldn't want it any other way!"

My mum nodded and we both continued to watch L and (L/B/N) play with toys.

-Little Time Skip!-

"It's almost time for us to go now", I say.

"Where's your boyfriend?" My sister asked.

"He's reading (L/B/N) a bedtime story" my mum replied.

"Really? That's nice of him. Maybe he isn't as bad as I thought" my sister says, looking at the ground.

"Don't judge a book by its cover!" I remind her.

Soon, we all see L come out of my little brother's room.

"He's asleep", L says.

"Thank you so much for doing that!" My mum says.

L smiled at her.

"Well, we should get going!" I say.

"Thanks for coming over!" My mum says, hugging me. She walked over to L and hugged him too.

L wasn't that great with hugs, so it kinda looked like he was being attacked. I started laughing.

I received hugs from everyone as L and I made our way to the front door.

We waved goodbye to everyone, and left.

"So, that was my family. I'm sorry for all the trouble they caused", I say.

"(Y/N), your family are great! They are very honest, which is something I like. I can't stand those who lie and aren't honest. They may be annoying, but I'll grow to love them in no time!" L says, chuckling.

I giggled and kisses his cheek.

"You'll fit in perfectly in my family", I say.
