They were stood in front of a crowd of teenagers and professors, fear evident in all their faces. They hadn't yet spotted the boy that the large man carried, but it was only a matter of time. He wondered if Harry would gain his consciousness (if he was indeed unconscious) in time, or if he was in some sort of coma. Maybe he was awake, maybe he was pretending he was dead for the sake of his own life. Percy wouldn't know, but he knew he was about to find out.

Voldemort smirked at the crowd, coming to a halt, which caused all of the death eaters (including himself) to do the same. Percy stood off to the side, closer to Hagrid, he kept his hood up and his hands grasped his wand tightly as if preparing for someone to attack him. It made no sense, seeing as no one would have the guts to attack a death water when they find that Harry Potter was 'killed' by them.

Percy noticed the denial in the faces of the teens, the way their eyes were wide as they whispered and pointed. Some of them were frozen in place, trembling in their shoes. Percy awaited for when the silence would be broken and the action would begin, seeing as he couldn't stand the silence.

"HARRY POTTER IS DEAD!" Voldemort finally yelled out, grinning like a mad man who just won the lottery. He repeated himself again, causing the news to really sink into the students. Gasps and cries could be heard, no where near as loud as Hagrid's has been, (who was luckily silent now), but they still shown the sorrows that the crowd felt. A redheaded girl cried out the word 'no' as she tried to run forward, but was held back by someone.

Part of Percy felt as though he should feel that way towards all that have passed in his life, but he barely remembered his parents, and Madam Red.. she was a blur to him.

He noticed how the fist of the 'dead boy' clenched, and he smirked as he knew that Harry was going to begin the final battle. Hagrid didn't seem to notice, but Percy supposed it was a good thing. Hagrid might've given it away if he had.

"Stupid girl, Harry Potter is dead." Voldemort stepped forward.

Percy bit back the urge to comment something sarcastic, knowing full well Voldemort no longer needed him and would be glad to kill him. He knew his place, he knew now wasn't the time to step out of line.

"From This day fourth, you put your faith in me." Voldemort pointed at himself and grinned maliciously, the frowns and cries of the crowd causing him satisfaction. He sneered at everyone, including Percy, it was what he thought was his victory. Percy just wanted Harry to show himself as alive so that Voldemort's smile could be wiped from his face. "HARRY POTTER IS DEAD!"

The deatheaters cheered and laughed (mostly Bellatrix), and Voldemort turned to the students. And laughed, "and now is the time to declare yourself!" He held out his arms, expecting many to wander over to his side, but no one moved a muscle. "Come forward and join us!"

Silence once again.

"Or die."

No one moved still, Percy smirked, as he remembered some of the memories he'd lost. Hogwarts students were loyal, they were good. Death eaters were full of insanity and malicious intent.

Lucious Malfoy glared daggers at his son, "Draco!" Causing the crowd to turn to the petrified blond. "Draco.."

But Draco stayed put, a frown evident on his face. He didn't want to be a death eater, but he never did. Percy knew that, but Draco hadn't really realized it until that moment.

"Draco," Narcissa Malfoy spoke, her husband held his hand out towards his son, "come."

Draco looked to the ground, debating his options; unfortunately a mother's choice outweighed his own and he began walking towards her. He glanced at Percy and then looked back to the floor.

"Ah, well done!" Voldemort awkwardly hugged Draco, "well done."

A boy that Percy remembered to be Neville walked forward, he walked with a limp and held an old hat.

"Well, I must say I hoped for better." The deatheaters all laughed at the joke, "and who might you be, young man?"

"Neville Longbottom." More laughs, more mocking laughs from the deatheaters.

Neville was a good guy, Percy doubted Neville actually intended to join Voldemort. But he also couldn't see Neville being that brave, but he was a Gryffindor, so it was a possibility that there was an ulterior motive.

"Well Neville, I'm sure we can find a place for you in our ranks-"

"I'd like to say something." Neville stood straight and stared Voldemort in the eyes.

"Well Neville I'm sure we'd all be fascinated to hear what you have to say." Voldemort's voice sounded venomous and angered, but he let Neville speak nonetheless.

"Doesn't matter that Harry's gone"

"Stand down Neville!" An Irish boy spoke, but Neville ignored him and continued.

"People die everyday! Friends, family, yeah, we lost Harry tonight... but he's still with us.." Neville put his hand up to his heart, "in here.. so is Remus, Tonks, all of them. They didn't die in vain, but you will!" Neville faced a snickering Voldemort, "because you're wrong! Harry's heart did beat for us! For all of us!" Neville reached into the hat and pulled out a sword. "It's not over!"

That's when Harry fought out of Hagrid's grasp and landed onto the ground, raising his wand and Voldemort. "Confringo!"

Relieved smiles could be seen on the Hogwarts crowds faces as they backed away. Voldemort rapidly shot explosion spells at Harry, who dodged them.

It was truly chaotic, yells and screams from the deatheaters, panicking teenagers trying to get to safety. Percy almost felt at home with that feeling, but part of him felt off.

He ran towards Harry, deciding that he needed to do something.

Other deatheaters disapparated away, fearing for their lives. Percy kept away from Voldemort's sight, quickly getting closer and closer to the retreating Harry.

Too much spells caused Percy's vision to blur, bright lights coming from Voldemort and the deatheaters' wands. He noticed someone flying back from a spell Voldemort cast.

'You fool' a voice in Percy's head told him, 'Harry will kill you. They played with your mind to make you believe that they were the good ones.'

"No.." Percy muttered, grasping his head, "no... that's wrong..." he should've been alarmed by Voldemort's voice in his head, but the chaos around him caused him to not think properly, and so he started to believe the voice.

Except he didn't fully believe it. How could he when he'd seen Voldemort kill many and Harry kill none?

He stopped trying to get to Harry though, and felt himself be tackled to the wall.

"Kill them, kill the ones that Harry calls friends." Voldemort ordered.

"But sir, I-"

"DO NOT DISOBEY ME, BOY! I KEPT YOU ALIVE FOR ALL THESE YEARS FOR YOU TO OBEY, DON'T MAKE ME KILL YOU!"

"Kill me then, because I don't want to kill anyone anymore. I see who you are, I see you as the monster you are, and I don't want to do the dirty work for someone like you!"

Voldemort kept a grip on Percy's neck, raising his wand up, "Fine then! I don't need you anymore!"

Percy closed his eyes, knowing no one would save him, and accepted what was about to happen. Maybe in the afterlife he'd meet his parents and ask for their forgiveness.

"Expelliarmus!"

Sorry, cliffhanger I know. But I will be updating it soon, not like the month that it took for this chapter to come out.

My excuse: high school, I'm a sophomore so I get a decent amount of homework.
My mental health has also been pretty bad, so I've really had no motivation to do anything at all, so I finally gathered some motivation to write this.

I'm actually really sad that this story is almost over, but I suppose that just means I get to make a new story.

Speaking of... MY NEXT STORY IS A PERCY JACKSON MORTAL HIGH SCHOOL AU. That's all I'm saying, so yeah. See you all next time, ❤️❤️❤️
