Chapter 3
Ivan's point of view
"Hey, get up," Moon yelled at me to awaken. I slowly opened my, sat up, and looked around.
"Here." She said and toss me my shirt that had finally dry after yesterday's events.
"Go and take a shower but wear your own clothes." She said and walked away. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom with the clothes that I usually wear. Once I got out of the shower I walked out of the bathroom to see Moon brushing her hair. I notice that her hair is about mid-thigh.
"What are you staring at?" She said monotone.
"N-nothing," I said.
She didn't say anything while putting her hair into a braid. When she usually has her hair in a braid it reaches about her butt. I also notice she change while I was in the shower and had the same clothes when we first met, which was a black short sleeve t-shirt, a black knee-length skirt, black leggings, brown combat boots, and a cap that has a hood that goes to her knees. My clothes were made up of a black shirt, black pants, a green coat, and brown boots. She picks up the ladder and put it against the window still. We both grab our bags and started climbing the ladder with Moon in the front. She unlocks the window and climbs onto the roof. I climb out and saw the sunrise and it was beautiful. Moon didn't pay attention to it and started to lock the window again. I started to climb down the house and miss-step my foot and fell, again. Moon just jump off the roof and land on her feet with ease.
"I really am starting to think you are just showing off," I said and she just ignores me. She started to walk off. I hurried up and ran to catch up to her. She had pulled the hood of her cape up so you couldn't see her face.
I don't know how long it has been but we were in a random part of the forest and have been going in the same direction for a while now. A bullet came out of nowhere and barely miss us. I brought out my M16 and was ready to fire anyone that comes at us. Moon also brought out her M4 Carbine. Our backs were against each other and we were walking around in a circle to see if anyone was around. Another shot was fired and we had to separate or one of us would be dead now.
"The person has a sniper and has really good aim. Keep moving but not in a patterned way or she would be able to shoot you." Moon whispered just enough for me to hear. I started walking around in random patterns and I have no idea where Moon went off because she disappeared. A whole bunch of gunshots were heard off to my left and ran in that direction to see what was going on. I come into a small clearing to see a mystery lady on top of Moon. Moon kick her off and jumped up. The lady jumped up too. I would shoot the lady but I can't because they are moving too much and I can't get an opening to shoot. Her M4 Carbine was thrown off to the side. They both races to each other and Moon punch the lady in the face while the lady punches Moon in the gut. They go back a couple of feet. The lady was holding her face while Moon was holding her gut with her left hand and with her right she pulled out her Beretta 92 and shot the lady in her chest. That shot had killed her. The lady fell backward and once the lady's back hit the ground a 6-inch knife fell out of her hand. I look back at Moon to her right hand now was holding her stomach with the left one had blood all over it. She fell to her knees just as I got next to her.
"Grab my bag," she said and pointed to her bag that was a few feet away. She started coughing badly. I got up and ran to it and ran back. I kneed down so can help do anything to the wound. I gave her the bag and she pulled out a smaller one. The blood was flowing at a fast rate. Her movements were getting slower and slower. I open the bag for her and saw all types of medical things for wounds, burns, and broken bones.
"Anti-bacteria, needle, thread, wrap." Was all she said before falling on her and coughing up blood. I hurried to pull out all the stuff she said to get. I pulled out a random piece of clothing from my bag to clean up and the blood. I pulled away from her hand and lift her shirt halfway. A deep wound lay on her stomach and the wound was about 3 inches deep. I grab the cloth and wiped away as much blood as I could. I add pressure to try and stop the bleeding. About a few seconds later the bleeding slowed down. I put the thread through the eye of the needle and got ready to sew together the wound. I grab the anti-bacteria and started to put around and in the wound. Moon hiss in pain. I started to sew the wound closed. Once I finished I rewipe around the wound to get as much as I can. I lifted her body so she would have her head on my shoulder and started to wrap her stomach. Once I finished I played her back down on her back and notice that Moon fell asleep. I went to search the body to see if she had anything. She didn't really have anything except weapons like knives, spoons, forks, and a nail gun. My stomach growled in hunger and we had to skip lunch because a group of guys attacked us. They had about 8 men and 3 girls. After we killed them we search their bodies and started walking again. So no lunch. I notice that it was starting to get dark. I gather some wood for a fire and lit it. I pulled out two slices of bread and walked over to Moon to wake her up.
"Hey, get up," I said and shook her gently to wake her up. She started to open her eyes slowly and blinked multiple times. She sat up all of a sudden and grabbed her stomach.
"You should take it easy or you're going to open your wound again," I said, hoping she would stop with the sudden movements.
"Here you should eat so you could get the nutrients that you need so you can heal faster," I hand the bread to her. She took it and started eating it with her left hand still handing her stomach.
"You know in the game people made a shopping district where you can stay a night, trade bullets for clothes, food, and other things, and get information on people you can kill. So I think we should head there to get-." I started to say but Moon interrupts
"No," she said.
"But that wound gets infected and can kill you," I said, hoping she would say yes.
"No, and I was shot once before and here I am, alive." She said. She started to lay on her back but more slowly so she won't hurt her stomach more than it already is. We just sat there in silence for a few minutes.
"How many times have you been shot?" I asked.
"Four. One was in my leg, another was in my arm, and two were in my stomach." She said and turned her head to look at me.
"How about you, how many times have you been shot?" She asked.
"Twice, one in the arm and the second one in my leg," I said. We then sat in silence again for a few more minutes.
"Just to let you know *sigh* I am thankful and grateful that you helped me." She said and looked away from me. I saw the blush on her face for the first time.
"Your welcome," I said and decided to tease her.
"Do my eyes deceive me, the great gun girl is blushing." I tease.
"N-no I am not blushing." She yelled. I started to laugh. Once I stop laughing I looked at her and she was still blushing. I smiled and shook my head.
"Alright how about you get some rest so you can heal better and won't be tired tomorrow," I said.
"I'll keep watch so you won't worry," I said in a baby voice. She laughed.
"Ok but first, thank you and second, you have the worst baby voice I heard." She said and turn on to her side. I laugh.
"Goodnight," I said.
"Goodnight." She said. Her breaths became even and with that, I knew she was asleep. I stayed awake the whole night and started into the fire.
