Monika: Sometimes even a villain needs redemption. 

Junko: Especially if that redemption means you keep a giant, badass robot by your side!

Monika: Trent Fernandez, the White Dinoranger!

Junko: And Alice Gehabich, the Masquerade battle brawler!

Monika: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!

Alice Gehabich was walking around the peaceful forest with Hydranoid in her pocket. A shadow suddenly flew past her. She looked up to see Trent Fernandez flying through the air in his Dragozord.

Alice: What is that thing?

Hydranoid: I do not know. We best shoot it down before it causes problems.

Alice: Alright. Bakugan Roll!

She grabbed her Bakugan and threw it. The Bakugan then opened up.

Alice: Bakugan stand! Hydranoid!

Hydranoid turned to his monstrous base form and Trent immediately noticed him.

Trent: What? A monster all the way out here? Alright Dragozord, let's deal with it quickly.

The Dragozord roared and flew towards Hydranoid.

The Dragozord struck at Hydranoid with its wings but with no effect.

Hydranoid: Is that the best you got?

Trent: This thing is tough!

Hydranoid started firing energy blasts from his mouth that the Dragonoid dodged while flying around. It fired its own energy blasts that Hydranoid tanked as he fired another ball of energy. The Dinozord dodged it and flapped its wings, creating massive gusts of winds that sent trees flying. Alice managed to hang on.

Alice: Ability activate! Chaos of the Darkness!

Storm clouds formed from above as Hydranoid's power started to increase.

Alice: Ability activate! Gravity Chamber!

A dark vortex of wind surrounded Hydranoid and sucked the Dragozord in. The Zord flapped its wings, trying to resist.

Trent: Stegazord, we need you!

Just in time, the Stegazord came storming in. It merged with the Dragozord and formed the Dinostegazord. This new Zord swung its staff and knocked Hydranoid back as he evolved into Dual Hydranoid, growing two heads, two tails, and swinging his claws. Dinostegazord blocked his strike with its staff and was knocked back. Hydranoid swung his tails and knocked him back further.

Trent: Geh! Dinosteazord, tail attack!

The Dinostegazord jumped up and went for a spinning tail attack but Hydranoid blocked it with his own tails before blasting it out of the air and watching it crash to the ground.

Trent: Gah! Dinostegazord, DinoStega Laser!

The Zord recovered quickly and unleashed a massive blast of energy from its eyes. Hydranoid countered with an energy blast of his own. The two clashed and created a massive explosion between them that knocked them both back. Hydranoid rolled to his feet and dashed at Dinostegazord.

Trent: it's no use.

Dinostegazord swung its staff at Hydranoid's chest and caused sparks to fly everywhere. Hydranoid rolled back to his feet as Dinostegazoid aimed its staff.

Trent: Dinostegazord, Stega Stinger.

It fired its staff straight at Hydrazoid and the staff blew up in his face. Dinostegazord then turned around and crossed its arms as did Trent.

Alice: Hydranoid!

Trent: Shows over.

Hydranoid: Maybe for you...

The dust settled and Hydranoid evolved into Alpha Hydranoid. 

Hydranoid: I'll show you the true power of darkness!

Alice's face went from concerned to confident as she nodded.

Alice: Right! Ability activate! Destruction Grind!

Several cables came out of Hydranoid and wrapped around the Dinostegazord, pulling it in as the on his chest started trying to shred it. Sparks were flying once more as the Dinozord broke out of the cables.

Alice: Ability card, activate! Lash and Blast Extreme!

More cables wrapped around the Zord and Hydranoid unleashed a powerful blast of energy that knocked it back. The Dinostegazord slid on its feet and recovered as Hydranoid swung his tails. Dinostegazord caught them,  spun him around, and threw him through multiple trees and a mountain. 

Trent: One more time. Dinostegazord, Dinostega Laser!

Alice: Ability activate! Chaos Leap Sting!

The Dinostegazord fired another massive blast from its eyes, but the blast itself was a lot weaker. It struck at Hydranoid and caused a massive explosion but he managed to tank it and swat the debris away. He dashed at the Zord and swung his claws, but the Dinozord dodged so Hydranoid swung his tails again. Once again the Dinostegazord catches his tails and lifts him up before slamming him into the ground hard, creating a massive crater. The Dinozord got on top of him and started punching his heads, but Hydranoid quickly kicked him off.

Alice: Ability activate! Blinding Spice!

Hydranoid then surrounded the Dinozord in darkness, quickly weakening it.

Trent: We have no choice. We need the other Dinozords.

As the darkness completely surrounded Trent, the other Dinozords all came and jumped into the darkness, merging with the Dinostegazord and becoming the Valkasaurus Megazord. It jumped out of the darkness as its tail arm drilled into Hydranoid's chest. He reacted by having his three heads bite into the Megazord's body. The Zord summoned an ax and swung it, cutting off all three heads in a single strike. But as soon as he did, six heads grew back.

Alice: Ability activate! Indigo Nightmare!

All six heads shot massive purple and black fireballs at the Valkasaurus Megazord, creating massive explosions around it. 

Trent: GAH!

Hydronoid goes up to the Megazord and swings his claws. The Megazord blocked it with one arm and struck him in the chest with the other. Hydanoid took the hit and swung his tails knocking the Valkasaurus back. The Megatron slid on its feet and threw an ax. The ax stabbed into Hydranoid's shoulder as it threw another one that stabbed into his neck.

Alice: Hydranoid!

Trent: Let's end this!

Hydranoid goes to swing his claws and the Megazord dodged it. He goes for another swing and he dodges the second one before going for another strike. Hydranoid blocks it and stabs his claws into the Megazord's chest before throwing him into the air. The Megazord caught himself and threw the ax on his helmet in mid-air. 

Alice: Ability activate! Death Trident!

All six of Hydrnoid's heads unleashed one massive blast of energy that completely destroyed the ax before blasting the Megazord several mountain ranges away. It then pierced straight through the Megazord before it started to completely disintegrate it.

Trent: GAAAAAHHHH!!!!

Once the blast diminished, both the Megazord and Trent himself were turned to nothing more than a speck of dust. Hydranoid turned back into a ball and dropped into Alice's hands.

Alice: ... We did it? 

She held Hydranoid in the air.

Alice: WE DID IT!!!

Junko: Phew... I was starting to be a bit worried about this one.

Monika: A bit of a heads up, as you may have noticed, we had kinda rushed the analysis of this one due to IRL problems and some mental health issues. Luckily it didn't impact the results too much, though it did make the analysis a little flawed. Regardless let's go over the results.

Junko: Right, when it comes to combat, Trent obviously has the edge. Trent could definitely take Alice down without their little toys, but the conversation is different once it's the Dinostegazord vs Hydranoid. 

Monika: Right. Physically, Hydranoid has proven to be much stronger than the Dinozord, and through scaling, he's shown to be much faster too. While scaling to other Megazords does make the Stegazord faster than lightning, Hydranoid can scale to Digimon that move faster than light.

Junko: Even if we equalized their physical capabilities, Hydranoid has more at his disposal, even allowing Alice to weaken the Dinostegazord or even strengthen Hydranoid himself.

Monika: Basically, Trent did have the experience but Alice's strategic mind and dangerous Bakugan gave her the win.

Junko: Better roll out the way Buster 'cause Alice is powered up for a battle!

Monika: The winner is Alice Gehabich.

Kokonoe's Trivia: Battle #174

-Connections: Two teenagers that were initially villains controlled by an alternative personality (Trent was being controlled by a living consciousness inside his Dino Gem and Masquerade was an alternate personality of Alice) under the service of a bigger bad (Mesogog and Naga respectively) who ultimately broke away from their influences to join the side of good, which happens to be composed of color-coordinated teenage heroes. They have close relationships with (grand)fatherly figures who themselves have alter egos that are main antagonists in their respective series (Trent's adoptive father is the alter-ego of Mesogog, and Alice's grandfather is the alter-ego of Hal-G), and wields white VS black "dragon" summons (Trent's personal Zord is called the Dragozord and Alice's Bakugan is Alpha Hydranoid, a literal black dragon).
