Junko: Goku, the Super Saiyan God of Dragon Ball.

Monika: And Ryu, the Martial Arts master of Street Fighter.

Junko: Living proof that with great effort you can overcome any obstacle. This is gonna be a big one so let's make this intro quick.

Monika: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for an over 9000 Death Battle!

In the middle of a desert, Ryu stood on a large rock, arms crossed, staring off into the distance. As he did, Goku flew behind him on the Flying Nimbus. Ryu turned to face him.

Ryu: This power I'm feeling... you're strong.

Goku: Heh, I could sense your power too. Hey, let's see who's stronger.

Ryu smirked before getting into a fighting stance.

Ryu: Very well, show me what you've got.

Goku smiled and got into a stance of his own.

Ryu jumped high in the air and went for a downward kick. Goku blocked it and pushed Ryu back before going for a punch. Ryu blocked it and was sent flying to the ground. He landed and slid on his feet as Goku jumped off the Nimbus and landed on his feet before dashing at him. Ryu dashed at Goku and the two of them clashed, creating a huge shockwave around them.

Ryu: Shoryuken!

Goku was immediately hit with a powerful uppercut that knocked him back. He caught himself and brought his hand up in the sky.

Goku: Distructo Disk!

Ryu: Hadoken!

They both fired projectiles. Goku's Distructo Disk cut straight through Ryu's Hadoken, forcing Ryu to flip to the left and dodge it. Ryu then dashed at Goku again.

Ryu: Tatsumaki Senpukyaku!

He went for a spinning kick that Goku blocked. He pushed him back and the two went for a punch.

Goku: Jan Ken Gu!

The two of them clashed, creating another shockwave.

Goku: Jan Ken Chyoki!

He poked Ryu in both eyes.

Ryu: Geh!

Goku: Jan Ken Pa!

He then hit him in the face with a powerful palm strike that sent him flying through the air. Goku flew after Ryu and grabbed him by the leg, spinning him around and slamming him into the ground several times before throwing him. Ryu slid on his feet as Goku flew after him again. 

Goku: Kaioken!

Ryu: Kaio wha-

Goku went for a dropkick that Ruy quickly blocked. Goku then teleported behind him and Ryu spun around for a kick. Goku teleported again to avoid the attack, appearing behind him once more. Ryu went for an elbow but Goku blocked it and went for an elbow of his own. Ryu caught it and headbutted Goku, knocking him back. Ryu channeled electricity through his fist before jumping up and punching Goku in the face hard. Goku went for a spinning kick, but Ryu blocked it.

Ryu: Shinku Hadoken! 

He fired another ki blast but Goku dodged it and went for a kick. Ryu ducked under it before hitting Goku with a roundhouse kick. 

Ryu: Shin Shoryuken!

He punched Goku in the gut and went for another uppercut, but Goku flipped back to dodge it.

Ryu: Baku Hadoken!

Ryu fired a vanishing Hadoken and Goku countered with an invisible eye blast, creating a massive explosion between them. Goku then fires a homing ki blast that Ryu jumps to the side to dodge. The ki blast turned around and Ryu kicked it away, causing it to explode on impact. Goku then dashed at him and Ryu went for a punch, but Goku jumped over him and landed behind him. They both turned around and clashed fist again. Ryu then pushed Goku's arm downward. He then went for a punch but Goku blocked it.

Goku: You can do better than that, c'mon!

Goku hit Ryu with an uppercut that caused an explosion. Ryu was sent flying. He spun in the air before landing on his feet. Goku then flew at him.

Ryu: I'm doing just fine. Joudan Sokutogeri!

He went for a powerful kick that Goku quickly stopped to block. Ryu put his foot down and was about to go for a punch.

Goku: Solar Flare!

Goku unleashed a bright light that temporarily blinded Ryu. He then started circling around him at such high speeds it created afterimages, allowing Goku to strike Ryu in several directions. Once Ryu recovered, Goku went for more strikes but Ryu quickly blocked all of them and then kicked Goku back. Ryu then ran up to him and went for an axe kick.

Goku: Explosive wave!

Goku unleashed a burst of ki that knocked Ryu back. He slid on his feet and put his hands together, charging electricity through his body.

Ryu: Denjin Hadoken!

Goku: Kamehameha!

Ryu fired an electric Hadoken as Goku unleashed a massive ki blast. It went through the Hadoken, forcing Ryu to jump to the side and dodge the Kamehameha. He ran toward Goku and went for a kick as Goku went to strike with his elbow. They clashed and were both pushed back.

Goku: Heh, you're pretty strong!

Ryu: Same to you. Let's keep this going!

They dashed at each other and clashed fists. the eclipse then formed in the sky as Goku's form began to change. He lost control, becoming a great ape, Oozaru... Evolution version. Goku lost control and went for a powerful punch. Ryu blocked it as it shattered the ground beneath them and caused them to fall into an underground cave.

Ryu: It's morphing time! Crimson Hawk!

Ryu used his Morphing Grid and turned into the Crimson Hawk Ranger.

They both landed on the bottom of the cave before Ryu dashed at him and hit him with two punches. These had no effect on Oozaru as he went for a strong punch of his own, but Ryu dodged it and kicked him in the chest. Once again, no effect, and Oozaru went for another punch. Ryu jumped back as this one caused a crater. 

Ryu: Hadoken!

Ryu shot a flaming Hadoken while Oozaru fired a ki blast from his mouth. The blasts clashed and created a massive explosion between them. Ryu then engulfed his fist with flames and dashed at him. He started striking Oozaru with flaming punches and hit him with a flaming kick that knocked him back, but not by much. Oozaru swatted him away and Ryu slid on his feet as the Great Ape fired a massive ki blast from his mouth. Ryu created a shield to protect himself as a giant explosion erupted around him.

Ryu: Heh, that all you got?

Oozaru let out a mighty roar, then clapped his hands together to create a shockwave that knocked Ryu back, pushing him against a wall. Oozaru then dashed at him and went for a massive punch that Ryu blocked before striking his chest three times. Oozaru was unphased and went for another punch that Ryu jumped out of the way to dodge. Oozaru then ripped out a huge chunk of the wall and through it. Ryu quickly kicked it and shattered it into pieces. 

Ryu: Shinku Tatsumaki Senpukyaku!

Ryu went for a spinning kick that caused a massive tornado that sucked Oozaru in, allowing Ryu to kick him away. Oozaru landed on his feet as Ryu dashed at him and hit him in the chest.

Ryu: Shin Shoryuken!

He hit him with another uppercut, sending him flying through the air once more.

Ryu: Shinku Hadoken!

He fired a massive fireball that blew up in Oozaru's face. As Oozaru fell, Ryu turned around and crossed his arms, posing as the Great Ape blew up behind him, reverting him back to Goku who had fallen to one knee.

Ryu: You okay there?

Goku: Yep, hehe, that was weird.

Goku took out a Senzu bean and ate it.

Ryu: What's that?

Goku: Senzu Bean. Want one?

Ryu: No need. I think it's time we both stop holding back

Goku smirked and started powering up.

Goku: RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!

His power shook the entire cave.

Goku: GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!

A bright light shined across his body as his hair spiked up and turned gold, finally going into his Super transformation.

Ryu: Such power... and I have yet to get your name.

Ryu dashed at Goku and went for a punch, but Goku was already behind him.

Goku: I am Son Goku...

Ryu went to strike him from behind but Goku had already punched him in the gut.

Goku: ... and I...

He kicked him out of the cave and back to the desert above. He then teleported right above Ryu and punched him into the ground.

Goku: ... am a Super Saiyan!

He unleashed a huge ki blast that Ryu was forced to dodge. Goku then fired several more and Ryu fired a bunch of his own, clashing with Goku's and causing debris to get everywhere. The silhouettes of the two warriors ran at each other and clashed multiple times with the final clash creating a shockwave that dispersed all the debris. Ryu went for a punch but Goku hit him with a bicycle kick that sent him flying in the air. He then teleported and kicked Ryu even farther before flying after him.

Goku: Meteor Crash!

He hit Ryu with a bunch of ki-infused punches that sent Ryu flying all the way to Z-City. Ryu slid on the road and saw Goku flying towards him. He went for a kick, but Goku teleported behind him. He went for a kick of his own, but Ryu ducked under it and went for a punch of his own. Goku blocked it and punched Ryu into a car. As Goku walked towards him, Ryu jumped behind the car and kicked it straight into Goku, sending him crashing into a large building. Goku then powered up again and turned into Super Saiyan 2.

Goku: Take this!

He flew at Ryu and the two clashed fist. Goku kneed him in the gut and reverted Ryu back to his base form before kicking him into a crate with the SMASH logo on it. The crate broke and a bunch of items fell out. He started grabbing them as Goku flew at him. Ryu looked up and used a Super Star to make himself invincible. Ryu went for a kick as Goku went for a punch. The two clashed and caused a shockwave that shattered all the glass in Z-City, even destroying a few buildings. Goku then pushed Ryu's foot down.

Goku: Super God Fist!

He punched Ryu through several buildings and straight out of Z-City, into a nearby forest. Ryu crashed through multiple trees before catching himself. Goku came flying at him and Ryu quickly grabbed a tree and swatted him away with it, sending Goku crashing through the forest. Goku caught himself as Ryu dashed at him. Goku fired a barrage of ki blasts in response.

Ryu: Ren Hadoken!

He started shooting a barrage of ki blasts of his own, countering Goku's. He then pulled out Kirby's Star Rod and started firing several star shots. Goku was dodging them before putting his hands together.

Goku: Super Kamehame-

Ryu fired another one but Goku teleported behind him to dodge it.

Goku: -HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Goku unleashed a massive Kamehameha that sent Ryu through several trees. Ryu then turned into a Bullet Bill, charging through the blast, and was about to hit Goku, who acted quickly and kicked Ryu into the air. Ryu turned back to normal and pulled out Kirby's Warp Star. He held on tight and flew down to crash it into Goku.

Goku: Super Explosive Wave!

Seconds before Ryu could make contact, Goku unleashed a massive explosion that engulfed the entire forest. Once the debris was gone, Ryu was on one knee in the middle of the carnage. He looked up to see that Goku had gone Super Saiyan 3. Ryu stood on his feet as the Super Star wore off.

Ryu: Still more huh?

He got into a fighting stance as Goku flew at him. Ryu tossed a Pokeball in the air and clashed fist with Goku, creating a shockwave. The Pokeball opened and out came a Ditto, which transformed into another Ryu and got between them. The fake Ryu went for a kick but Goku booked it and hit him with a palm strike that sent him flying. The original Ryu then dashed at him with ki-infused fists.

Ryu: Hado Shoryuken!

He went for an uppercut but Goku dodged it before punching Ryu away. Both Ryu and the Pokemon then stood side by side. Goku unleashed a giant blast of energy that sent the fake Ryu flying with one hand. He used the other to fire multiple ki blasts at the real Ryu, who was dodging them all and approaching fast. He went for a kick that Goku ducked under before kicking Ryu through several trees. Goku then flew straight at Ryu. 

Goku: RAAAAAAAAGH!!!!

He increased his power further, creating a massive thunderstorm above as he turned into Super Saiyan 4. Ryu got up as Goku moved straight at him. Ryu went for a kick but Goku teleported behind him. He went for another strike but Goku teleported once more, continuing to do so with each of Ryu's strikes.

Goku: What's wrong? Can't keep up?

Ryu then went for another punch, but Goku caught it. He punched Ryu in the gut and sent him flying. Ryu slid on his feet.

Ryu: Hadoken!

He fired another ki blast that Goku swatted away and let blow up behind him. he dashed at Ryu and hit several of his pressure points to stun him. Ryu managed to recover just in time to block a powerful punch that sent him flying. Goku then flew after him with a dragon-infused fist.

Goku: Dragon Fist!

Ryu went for a powerful punch of his own but Goku was too fast and punched a massive hole straight through Ryu's chest. Ryu went flying through the air while Goku held his fist up in victory and Ryu fell to the ground behind him. Before Goku could turn around, a massive burst of darkness erupted behind him.

Goku: What?!

He looked behind him as Evil Ryu emerged with a smile.

Goku: (This power. It's like he's a completely different person)

Evil Ryu: Now... this is much better! RAAAAAAAGH!!!!

He burst with power and flew at Goku, who flew at him in return. They clashed fists and ripped the ground below them with their power. Goku grabbed him by the arm and pulled him in close, kneeing him in the face and sending him flying. Ryu recovered quickly and saw Goku flying after him. He started firing ki blasts and Goku was quick to dodge them before forming a Ki blade. He swung it but Ryu was quick to dodge.

Evil Ryu: Tatsumaki Zankukyaku!

He went for a spinning kick that launched Goku straight through the ground. Goku slid to his feet as Ryu flew at him and went for a punch. Goku blocked it and caused a shockwave that destroyed everything around them. Goku then knocked him back and they both went for a punch, once again clashing.

Evil Ryu: Messatsu-Goshoryu!

He went for a powerful uppercut that launched Goku all the way to space and through the moon. Ryu then flew above Goku

Evil Ryu: Ryusokyaku

 Ryu hit him with a powerful axe kick that sent him into the moon again, this time Goku landed on his feet with a smile on his face as Ryu landed right in front of him.

Goku: Heh, this is my type of fight!

Evil Ryu: It will be your last. Shun Goku Satsu!

Ryu hovered towards him as everything went dark. All you could see were the two of them striking at each other. Ryu goes for two body blows, Goku lands a punch to the side, and both of them punch each other in the face at the same time. More blows were delivered before the darkness faded.

The two of them stood back to back. The Raging Demon failed to put Goku away as he pulled out his Power Pole and swung it. Ryu ducked under the strike and went for a punch but Goku blocked it and swung the pole again, knocking him back.

Goku: Power Pole Extend!

The staff extended straight towards Ryu, who managed to catch it between his hands. However, the Power Pole kept extending and dragging Ryu back before launching him off his feet. Goku then jumped off the Moon as the two were heading straight back to Earth. Ryu glanced behind him and noticed they were going to crash land into the ocean. With all his strength, Ryu shoved the Power Pole to the side, causing it to pierce through the very Earth itself. Goku then spun on the pole and launched himself right at Ryu, hitting him with a dropkick. Ryu was sent flying back but managed to catch himself.

Goku: HAAAA!!!

Goku unleashed a blast of energy that summoned a massive bottle of eyedrops, which was getting ready to ram right into his foe. Ryu quickly infused his fist with ki and punched it, shattering it like glass and sending a shockwave back at Goku, who protected himself with a Ki shield and put his hands together.

Goku: Kamehameha times ten!!!

Evil Ryu: DIE!!!

Both of them unleashed devastating blasts of energy and clashed, creating a massive tsunami around them from their power alone. 

Goku: Geh! I WILL NOT LET YOU DESTROY MY WORLD!!!!

Goku powered up even further, breaking the limits of Super Saiyan 4 and creating a massive explosion between the two as reality shattered around them and the explosion engulfed them both. Once it dispersed, they were in a volcanic wasteland clashing fist once more. They were rapidly clashing before Goku punched Ryu in the face and knocked him back. Ryu caught himself and they started clashing fists again. 

Evil Ryu: Metsu Shoryuken!

Ryu hit Goku with a Shoryuken that sent him flying.

Evil Ryu: Messatsu Gou Hadou!

As soon as Goku landed on his feet, Ryu fired a massive Hadouken at him. Goku quickly created another shield and the massive Ki blast clashed with it before blowing up in Goku's face. The Super Saiyan then fired Kamehameha's from both his hands. Ryu hovered straight past it and came right behind Goku. They both turned around and went for a punch that created a shockwave and knocked them both back, reverting them back to their base forms as they fell to their knees exhausted.

Goku: Phew... you're stronger than you look...

Ryu: I walk the path of a true warrior...

Ryu took out the Infinity Gauntlet and put it on before getting into a fighting stance.

Goku: Don't get ahead of yourself, buddy. You're not the only one... with that kinda power.

Ryu used the Infinite Gems to increase his power even further and dash at Goku, whose hair turned red as he powered up into a Super Saiyan God. The two of them went for a powerful punch and clashed before knocking each other back. Goku flew in the air as Ryu fired explosive pumpkins. Goku dodged them as massive explosions erupted around him. He then flew at Ryu and went for a kick, but Ryu summoned a forcefield to block it.

Ryu: Too slow!

He released a wind blade that Goku jumped over as it cut a massive rock behind him. Goku then went for a spinning kick that Ryu blocked as an energy pillar emerged from the ground. Goku jumped back to dodge it as Ryu unleashed lightning from the sky. Goku was flying past it and went for a flying kick. Ryu tried turning himself intangible, but Goku managed to kick him anyway and sent him flying. Ryu caught himself and made an invincible armor around him as Goku kicked him again, this time into a giant volcano. He was about to go for another punch, but Ryu used the Infinite Gems to create a massive hand and grab Goku with it before slamming him into the volcano. He then jumped up.

Ryu: Hadoken!

He unleashed a massive blast of energy made of fire that sent Goku through the volcano and caused it to erupt. Ryu flew above all the lava that came out as Goku flew straight towards him. Ryu acted quickly and created dragons out of the magma below that tried to grab Goku. The Saiyan flew past him as one tried striking from behind and he fired a ki blast to blow it up. Ryu then flew at Goku and kicked him in the back before kicking him in the head and sending him flying. As he flew, Goku turned around and recovered quickly.

Goku: Kamehameha!

Goku unleashed a massive Rebirth Kamehameha and Ryu quickly put an energy barrier around him to protect himself as he flew straight through it. He then went for a kick, but Goku caught it and fired a ki blast into Ryu's chest, sending him flying. Goku then teleported behind him, kicking him in the back and sending him flying downward. Goku teleported below him and was about to catch him with one hand, but Ryu teleported in front of him and froze the ground along with Goku. 

Ryu: Shinku Hadoken!

He fired a powerful Hadoken that broke the ice and sent Goku flying into a pile of rubble. The Hadoken blew up in his face as Ryu walked towards him only to step on a small piece of ki.

Ryu: Hm?

The ki blew up in Ryu's face before activating other small balls of ki around him, causing them to blow up as well. It was an entire minefield. Goku smirked and got back to his feet as Ryu flew straight through all the explosions, going for a punch that Goku quickly dodged. The punch shattered the rubble and Ryu turned the pieces into projectiles that he launched at Goku. Goku quickly dodged them as Ryu dashed at him and went for a punch. Goku dodged the first punch as Ryu went for a second one. 

This time Goku used God Bind to keep him still, but Ryu used the Infinite Gems to undo the effects and bind Goku instead, leaving him open for a punch, which sent Goku flying. Ryu opened a portal behind Goku and flew after him, grabbing him by the neck as they both went through it, taking them to an icy continent. Goku tried to knee him in the chin, but Ryu wouldn't let go and tried to absorb his godly energy.

Goku: GAAAAAAAAHHH!!!

Goku unleashed a massive explosion of godly ki that forced Ryu to jump back and land on an iceberg. He looked up as Goku's power continued to increase and the color of the ki went from red to blue. The ki dispersed as Goku had turned Super Saiyan Blue.

Ryu: Blue hair? Hmph, I've seen worse.

Goku teleported behind him.

Goku: HA!

He sent him flying with a burst of a Kamehameha. He then flew at him and kneed him in the gut before going for a punch that Ryu dodged. He punched Goku in the face and Goku took it before hitting Ryu with an uppercut that knocked him back. Goku flew at him and they both went for multiple kicks and punches before Ryu kicked Goku and sent him flying through an iceberg. As the iceberg crumbled, Goku used his ki to lift the giant chunks of ice and throw them at Ryu, who used the Infinite Gems to turn the ice into butterflies. As soon as he did, Goku was flying at him with a Key Sword.

Goku: Here I come!

he swung the sword and Ryu blocked it with his gauntlet, opening a portal that they both went through as they crash-landed into a grassy field. Ryu recovered quickly and was about to dash towards Goku, but chains came up and grabbed him by the arms and legs. Goku unleashed a massive blast of energy through the Key Sword and Ryu quickly used the Infinity Gems to make a barrier that blocked it. He then took control of the chains and had them grab Goku instead, pulling him up before slamming him into the ground hard. Ryu then dashed at Goku and swung the Gauntlet as Goku swung the Key Sword. The two of them clashed, unleashing a burst of power upon impact.

Goku: GAAAAAAAHHH!!!

Ryu: RAAAAAAAAHHH!!!

The clash was starting to cause ripples that spread across time and space throughout the whole universe. The Key Sword was then beginning to crack and as soon as it shattered, a ki blast flew just in time to force the two of them to jump back. They looked up to the source to see Vegeta flying down.

Goku: Vegeta!

Vegeta: Dammit Kakarot, are you trying to kill us all?

Goku: What can I say? This guy's pretty tough.

Goku combined Super Saiyan Blue with Kaioken as Vegeta went Super Saiyan Blue Evolved. They both dashed straight for Ryu with Vegeta coming in first. Ryu went to punch him but he quickly caught it and kneed Ryu in the face, knocking him back as Goku knocked him back further by kicking him in the face. Ryu unleashed a blast of electricity that they both dodged. Vegeta immediately flew behind him and fired a blast of energy that Ryu was quick to dodge. He went to kick Vegeta but the Saiyan Prince blocked the attack, flipping Ryu upside down.

Vegeta: Die!

He unleashed a massive energy blast that sent Ryu flying. Ryu slid on his feet as Goku went for a punch. Ryu dodged it as Goku went past him and Vegeta went for a kick of his own. Ryu blocked it and pushed him back. The two of them then went to strike him at the same time, only for Ryu to unleash a shockwave around them that knocked them back. He then unleashed energy pillars from the ground that Goku and Vegeta both flew up to dodge before going back to back.

Goku: Kamehame-

Vegeta: Galick...

Goku: HAA!!!

Vegeta: GUN!!!

 They both unleashed their devastating blasts. Ryu then pulled out an assist trophy, allowing him to summon Ken Masters, who immediately blocked both blasts. Goku and Vegeta saw this and immediately flew down.

Ken: Looks like you're having trouble, huh Ryu?

Ryu: Hmph...

Ken: Let's even the odds a bit Let me take Shorty over there.

Vegeta: What was that?

Ken: What's wrong? Don't think you can keep up?

Goku: Vegeta wait-

It was too late, Vegeta immediately burst with power through sheer rage and blasted off into Ken, who blocked his punch as they both were sent away.

Ryu: Ken!

Goku: Over here!

Goku teleported over Ryu and went for a kick that Ryu immediately dodged, causing Goku to kick the ground as Ryu went for a punch. Goku blocked it it and went for a punch of his own but Ryu dodged it and went for a kick that Goku ducked under. He went for an uppercut but Ryu jumped to the side to dodge it and went for another punch. Goku went for one as well and they clashed, shaking the ground around them.

As they did, Vegeta flew Ken towards a nearby forest.

Ken kicked Vegeta off of him and sent him flying through trees. He landed on his feet and started to brush himself off as Vegeta recovered quickly and cracked his neck.

Ken: Heh, what's wrong? Touched a nerve?

Vegeta: Tch. You're beginning to piss me off, and you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

Ken: Big deal. What would Ryu say again? Oh yeah, talk is cheap. Let's get it on!

Vegeta: Hmph.

Ken dashed at Vegeta and went for a kick that Vegeta easily blocked before going for a punch. Ken blocked it and was sent flying back before sliding on his feet. 

Ken: Hadoken!

He fired a ki blast and Vegeta effortlessly dodged it before firing a ki blast of his own. Ken kicked it away.

Ken: Reppū Hadōshū!

He fired two more from his feet and Vegeta casually dodged those as well before dashing at him and going for a punch, but Ken quickly parried it.

Ken: Shoryuken!

He hit him with a flaming uppercut that sent him flying through the air. Vegeta caught himself almost immediately.

Vegeta: What the?!

Ken: C'mon, take this seriously!

Vegeta: Grrr! Lucora Cannon!

Vegeta fired a barrage of energy bullets that Ken started to dodge before firing two more projectiles back at him with his kicks. Vegeta dodged them before flying down and going for a kick. Ken ducked under it as Vegeta landed and turned around for another one. This one Ken blocked but was still knocked back. 

Vegeta: Final Flash!

He unleashed a giant laser beam straight at Ken, who flipped to the side to dodge it.

Ken: Nice try! Shakunetsu Hadoken!

He fired a flaming Hadoken that Vegeta countered with a ki blast. The impact caused a massive explosion that Ken jumped over. 

Ken: Tatsumaki Senpukyaku!

He went for a spinning kick and hit Vegeta in the face. before Vegeta could recover he hit him with another one and knocked him back. Ken then went for two more kicks that knocked Vegeta back farther.

Ken: I thought you were good. I'm not even trying!

He jumps up and goes for a downward kick, but Vegeta blocks it and throws him. Ken lands on his feet as Vegeta powers up even further.

Vegeta: That's it! I'm about to show you the true might of a Saiyan God!

He grew even stronger and his hair turned purple as he turned Ultra Ego.

Ken: Heh, that's more like it!

Ken dashed at him and went for a flaming punch to the face, but then was shocked to find it had no effect. Vegeta grabbed his arm and pulled him in.

Vegeta: This is getting annoying!

He headbutted Ken and then kicked him through several trees. He then fired a beam of energy straight at him that Ken rolled to the side to dodge. It caused a massive explosion upon impact and Ken quickly started channeling flames through his entire body.

Ken: Time to turn up the heat!

He dashed at Vegeta in a burst of flames and went for another flaming punch. Vegeta tanked it and tried to grab him but Ken moved out of the way and kneed him in the gut. Vegeta tanks that as well. He tried to go for a punch of his own but Ken was moving too quickly. 

Ken: Shoryureppa!

He hit Vegeta with two flaming Shoryuken's before kicking him away. Vegeta almost immediately recovered and crossed his arms, flying backward as Ken chased after him. Ken went for a downward kick but Vegeta dodged it as it caused a massive explosion. Ken then went for a flying punch but Vegeta dodged that too as it caused a massive explosion.

Vegeta: Pathetic! Big Bang Attack!

He unleashed a giant blast of energy and Ken made a forcefield to block it as a giant explosion erupted on contact. Ken then dashed at Vegeta again.

Ken: Shippu Jinraikyaku!

He hit Vegeta with a low roundhouse kick, two high ones, and another low one, before following up with a knee strike. 

Ken: Too easy!

He then went for a vertical Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, but Vegeta blocked it and went for a powerful punch that knocked Ken back. He slid to the ground and fell to one knee. 

Ken: I'mma make you feel this! Guren Senpukyaku!

He went for a barrage of flaming Tatsumaki Senpukyaku kicks as he spins in a horizontal straight line. Vegeta goes to dodge but Ken flies behind him and lands a hit straight to the face, sending him flying through trees. Vegeta immediately recovered and flew after him as he went for a punch but Ken ducked under it.

Ken: Shinryuken!

He hit Vegeta with a flaming Shoyuken that sent him flying back, but Vegeta quickly caught himself.

Vegeta: Super Galick Gun!

He unleashed a massive beam of energy that quickly engulfed Ken.

Ken: RAAAAAA!!!!

A vicious smile from a powerful witch far away appeared in Ken's mind, brainwashing him and turning him into Violent Ken.

Violent Ken: RAAAH! I'll kill you! I'll kill you dead!

Vegeta: I'd like to see you try!

The two of them dashed at each other and clashed fist, creating massive Earthquakes around them. Ken started kicking Vegeta multiple times before performing a Shoryuken, then a Shoryureppa.

Violent Ken: Kuzuryu Reppa!

He finishes with a Shinryuken but Vegeta dodges and goes for a punch, shooting a blast of energy from his fist that went straight through Ken's body. Ken fought through the pain and they both started striking at each other with a combo of punches and kicks.

Violent Ken: Shinbu Messatsu!

He went for a Shoryuken that released a pillar of deathly energy, but Vegeta stood his ground, not allowing it to send him flying as the energy pillar engulfed them both. He started to charge energy into his hands.

Vegeta: You're getting on my nerves! Gamma Burst... Flash!!!

He unleashed a massive blast of energy that was completely engulfing Ken, but Ken was tanking through the blast and grabbed him by the neck. 

Violent Ken: DIE!!!

He engulfed his hand in flames in an attempt to burn him alive.

Vegeta: Tch! I am the prince of all Saiyans... AND YOU CAN BURN IN HELL!!!

Vegeta released a massive explosion that engulfed the both of them. It was infused with Hakai and could be seen through space. 

Once the explosion dispersed, Goku was still clashing with Ryu in a grassy plain and was knocked back as he stopped sensing the energy of both Vegeta and Ken.

Goku: Vegeta!

He looks up to see Ryu going for an axe kick. Goku blocked it and pushed him back before increasing his power further. He dashed at Ryu and teleported behind him.

Goku: Hakai!

Ryu: Disappear!

Ryu snapped his fingers as they both tried to wipe each other out of existence, destroying everything around them but each other as Goku was forced into his base transformation and fell on one knee.

Goku: Phew... hehehe...

Ryu: Time to end this.

He went for a powerful kick, but as he did, Goku had already tapped into Ultra Instinct.

Before Ryu's kick could connect, Goku was already behind him and had struck him several times without Ryu even noticing. Ryu fell to one knee.

Ryu: Geh! What?

He turned for another kick but Goku dodged it with ease and jumped through the air as Ryu was struck in the chest five times. Ryu took it and put his hands together.

Ryu: Hadoken!

He fired a Hadoken, but Goku was right behind him with the Hadoken in his hands seconds after it was fired. He nullified it as Ryu took a small breath and stood up straight.

Ryu: I see... so that's how we're doing this.

He breathed out and tapped into the Power of Nothingness. Goku went for a backhand but Ryu ducked under it and went for a punch to the face. Goku moved his head to the side to avoid it and went to punch him in the gut, but Ryu jumped to the side and dodged his attack as well. 

Ryu: Tesshin!

He went for a punch but Goku dodged it and went for a punch of his own that Ryu blocked.

Ryu: Isshin!

He went for another punch that Goku caught, allowing the Saiyan to toss him in the air and fire a Ki blast. Ryu fired a blast of his own to counter it as he landed on his feet and then dashed at him. 

Ryu: Shin Tatsumaki Senpukyaku!

Ryu went for a spinning kick that created a destructive maelstrom, decimating everything in its path. Goku flew straight past it and fired a Ki blast from above. Ryu stopped and kicked it right back at him but Goku teleported and dodged it. He appeared behind Ryu and went for a punch but Ryu dodged it.

Ryu: Hashogeki!

He went for a Hadoken-like palm strike that Goku blocked as it launched him toward a mountain.

Goku: It's not over yet!

He used the mountain to ricochet himself back at Ryu, destroying the mountain behind him and going for a powerful punch that Ryu quickly blocked.

Ryu: Kakko Fubatsu!

Ryu went for an energy-infused punch but Goku dodged it and placed balls of Ki around him.

Goku: This is gonna hurt!

He unleashed a blast of energy that caused all the balls to blow up but Ryu managed to quickly teleport out of the way and get behind him. He went for a kick but Goku blocked it, holding onto his leg and aiming a ki blast at his face. Ryu used his other foot to kick his hand away, causing the blast to miss and forcing Goku to let go. Ryu quickly circled around and put his hands together.

Ryu: Denjin Hadoken!

He fired an electric Hadoken and Goku dodged it before going for a punch. Ryu ducked under it and went for a kick that Goku blocked and pushed back. Ryu went for another one and Goku leaned back to dodge it before circling around for a backhand. Ryu ducked under it.

Ryu: Shin Shoryuken!

He went for an electric Shoryuken but Goku flipped back to dodge it and they both had a face-off. They dashed at each other and started moving a light speeds, dodging, blocking, and parrying each other's attacks with each clash creating shockwaves and shaking the Earth beneath them. Eventually, Goku kicked Ryu away and Ryu slid onto the ground.

Ryu: Ren Hadoken!

He started firing repeated Hadoken blasts and Goku started dodging them all while moving closer towards Ryu. He had two Ki blasts in his hand and threw both of them, forcing Ryu to jump to the side to dodge as Goku flew in for a ki-enhanced punch. Ryu dodged it as Goku went for another one but Ryu slid back and went for a punch of his own. Goku dodged it and went for a kick, but Ryu caught that and threw him in the air.

 Goku quickly flew upside down in mid-air and unleashed a blast of energy at Ryu, who quickly used the Infinity Gems to create a barrier and block it. Goku then flew higher and created an avatar of himself that went to punch down on Ryu. The Martial Arts Master saw this and used the Gems to create his own Avatar out of the Earth around him that grabbed Goku's. He then put his hands together.

 Ryu: Shinku Hadoken!

He fired a gigantic energy beam that went straight through the Goku Avatar, piercing a giant hole through its chest that caused it to disappear. Goku quickly came out of it and started sliding down the energy beam.

Goku: It's over! Kamehame...

He jumped over Ryu and landed right behind him.

Goku: HAAAA!!!

Goku turned around and delivered a massive Kamehameha that engulfed Ryu and sent him crashing straight into a nearby mountain. The blast went straight through the mountain and crumbled on top of the Martial Artist. Goku then fell to one knee and returned to base form.

Goku: Hehehe... that was fun... let's do it again... sometime...

He was starting to get up but then suddenly felt Ryu's energy.

Goku: What? No way, he's still alive? It's that gauntlet... it's still giving him power. But... I'm all out of energy...

A burst of energy came from Ryu's location as he emerged from the rubble. he combined the Satsui No Hado with the Power of Nothingness and became Shin Ryu. Goku flew into the air and raised his hands up high. But before he could do anything, Ryu telepathically launched chunks of rubble at him. One hit him in the gut, two in the shoulders, and one hit him in the head knocking him back into the ground. He struggled to get up as Ryu approached.

Shin Ryu: It's over Goku. You've reached your limit.

Goku: Yeah? Well... I can always go... even further beyond!

Shin Ryu: You fool!

Goku: Come forth, Shenron!

Ryu was about to go for a punch but was forced to get back as Goku summoned all six wish-granting dragons. Goku then flew into the air and raised his hands.

Goku: Everyone, please! Lend me your energy!

Shenron tried to take a bite out of Ryu but he jumped to the side and dodged his strike. Porunga then tried to grab him but Ryu infused his fist with energy and punched the ground, causing energy pillars to erupt from the ground and stab right through the dragon. Shenron, Ultimate Shenron, Black Smoke Shenron, and Dark Shenron all circled around him.

Shin Ryu: Fudoshin!

He fired an omnidirectional energy wave that shot powerful beams all around, taking out the Shenron Dragons around him. He then looked up to see Super Senron still hovering above Goku, allowing him to gather not just energy from his friends and family in his own Dragon Ball universe, but the entire Multiverse. Naruto, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Bleach, and even the very audience reading at home. 

Goku had gathered it all to create a massive Spirit Bomb which he began to absorb, using all that energy to become God Fusion Goku. He looked down at Ryu and put his hands together.

Goku: Kame...

Ryu accepted the challenge and put his hands together as well.

Ryu: Shin...

Goku: ... Ha... me...

Ryu: HADOKEN!!!!!

Goku: HAAAAA!!!!!!

The two of them unleashed ginormous beams of energy, creating a gigantic explosion between them and destroying everything around them as they were having a beam struggle.

Shin Ryu: GRRRAAAAAAH!!!!

Ryu used the Infinity Gems to increase his power even further. He was one step from using them to turn himself invincible again, but as soon as he had the thought, a Destructo Disk came from behind and cut off his arm, causing it and the Infinity Gauntlet to fall to the ground. Ryu glanced behind him to see Vegeta in his Super Saiyan form, breathing heavily exhausted with an arrogant smile on his face.

Vegeta: Whoops... was that... important...?

He returned to base and began to collapse as Goku took full advantage of the opportunity.

Goku: Kaioken... times... ONE HUNDRED!!!!

Giku's blast increased in size and power, completely overwhelming Ryu's own. He ended up being engulfed by the blast as it created a massive explosion upon impact. Ryu screamed as he slowly turned to ash until there was nothing more of him left.

Tired and exhausted, Goku reverted back to base form. He looked up at Vegeta who was leaning on a chunk of rubble and gave him a thumbs up.

Vegeta: Hmph...

Goku: Ehehe

Junko: Damn, we really went all out on this one, didn't we? 

Monika: Both Goku and Ryu were incredibly skilled. They were also equals in many ways. Both have equal physical stats and both are just as smart as the other in combat. Ryu does have more items at his disposal though to make up for a majority of those Hax.

Junko: Yeah, Goku also has more experience too. Like thousands of years more experience thanks to Evolution and GT. But other than that the two countered almost everything they threw at each other. Even getting their rivals involved.

Monika: Speaking of that, what happened to Ken? I'm pretty sure he only ever goes into Violent Ken when someone takes control of him.

Junko: Meh, who knows? But what really mattered for these two was who was powerful enough to deliver the killing blow first. And luckily for Goku, he had two aces up his sleeve. That being the Spirit Bomb and his God Fusion transformation. 

Monika: Goku's Spirit Bomb, in Jump Force, was enough to take out Prometheus, a being whose very existence threatened all of fiction. Meanwhile, God Fusion Goku was so powerful he merged with the very audience watching at home. Both are feats of power that Ryu has never shown before.

Junko: And since Goku has a knack for powering out of any hax weaker than him, it makes sense that he would do the same for Ryu.

Monika: Right. It's not the first time he's gone up against someone who could make themselves invincible. On top of that, he's shown numerous times to reach powers that bypass any form of time manipulation Ryu may try and pull on him.

Junko: Sorry Ryu, time to go back to the streets because these fighterz kicked your dragon balls.

Monika: The winner is Son Goku.

Kokonoe's Trivia: Battle #179

Connections: Both are widely influential figures in both anime and fighting games respectively with their sequels. While not the first, they were the first notable success. (Street Fighter II is what launched fighting games into the mainstream while Dragon Ball Z was considered the gateway anime for most of the world outside of Japan.) They are martial artists that wish to face incredibly strong fighters and are known to compete in many tournaments. (Self-explanatory). They will go as far as to challenge powerful warriors of other universes just to find worthy opponents. (See pretty much any Capcom crossover involving Ryu and see the Universe 6 Arc and Tournament of Power from Dragon Ball Super). They are known to have a transformation that is based around the power of rage and anger. (Evil Ryu and Super Saiyan Goku). They are also known to have another "transformation" that is a state of consciousness that through spiritual and mental refinement and the power to act without being attached to emotions and thought, free of fear, anger, pride, and ego. (The Power of Nothingness for Ryu and Ultra Instinct for Goku). Said state of form is the opposite side of the coin of the power their edgy rival opposes with their power relating to said anger, pride, and ego. (Vegeta has Ultra Ego that uses the power of Destruction while Akuma has the Satsui no Hado). Said power is something the two have at least tapped into to a very limited degree. (Ryu has tapped into the Satsui no Hado for attacks like the Metsu Hadouken and Metsu Shoryuken while Goku used a weaker copy of the Hakai on Fused Zamasu.)
