FEATS:

Canon Feats:

-Defeated Adon, Sagat, M. Bison, Seth, Dudley, Hugo, Necalli, and Alex.

-Took part in, and won, the First World Warriors Tournament

-Defeated the World Warrior Champion, Sagat, through using the Satsui no Hado, and striking with enough force to rip through his chest and nearly kill him

-Was able to fight Akuma on equal footing

*Albeit, Akuma was holding back his full power, intent solely on testing Ryu

-Is the only Street Fighter NOT named Akuma to defeat M. Bison in a one-on-one fight, doing so without the use of a sneak attack, even when Bison had taken the form of Final Bison, all whilst resisting the temptation of the Satsui no Hado (albeit, thanks to earlier motivation)

-Overpowered and defeated the genetically-enhanced, Tanden Engine-infused Seth, capable of copying moves such as his own Hadoken, Dhalsim's unique ability to stretch his limbs and Guile's Sonic Boom, whose ki and power was augmented to such an extent that he could create miniature black holes

Crossover Feats:

-In SNK vs. Capcom, fought against Athena (a Goddess); Goenitz, a prophet for Orochi with cutting wind powers and capable to create twisters by flipping his wrist; Kyo (who, in the comics, survived the Shun Goku Satsu), Iori and Kagura, the three of whom were strong enough to defeat Orochi; Geese and Rugal; and even Ultimate Rugal or Shin Akuma, each one having the combined powers of themselves and the other

-As a recurring character in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, has gone toe-to-toe with powerful Marvel and Capcom characters; from Morrigan and Dante to Strider Hiryu and Mega Man Zero, and from Captain America and Wolverine to the Incredible Hulk and the Mighty Thor

-In his ending in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, becomes the heir of the Iron Fist legacy, using the mystical martial arts of K'un-Lun to hold off Akuma successfully

-In Asura's Wrath, fought against Asura - yes, THAT Asura - for a considerable period of time, and was able to fight against Vajra Asura on a near equal level as Evil Ryu; presumably, the Power of Nothing - had it been used in the Asura's Wrath universe - would have been equal to or even superior to that

Monika: As a child, Ryu was found abandoned in front of a dojo with no memories or indicators of his parents. The dojo's owner, Gouken, found the young boy and raised him as his disciple and foster son while training him in seclusion. For much of his early years, Ryu was taught the principles of Ansatsuken, a dangerous martial art rooted in assassination techniques that Gouken had refined as a means of self-defense instead of being a tool of murder.

Junko: Which I say is outright boring! Why have an assassination technique if not used for murdering the bloody shit out of your victims? Well, at least this allowed him to meet his new best friend and rival, Ken Masters.

Monika: When Ryu and Ken were of age, Gouken allowed his pupils to leave and pursue their own paths in life. However, he was soon found dead following an encounter with his brother Akuma, a sadistic fighter harnessing an evil energy called the Satsui no Hado. By the time his students returned and paid their final respects, they each went their separate ways. Ryu chose the life of a nomad, traveling the world with nothing but his training bag to face off against other strong fighters of different disciplines. In doing so, he became a recurring participant in the World Warrior tournament, where he tested his strength against other combatants like Ken, Interpol detective Chun-Li, Delta Red operative Cammy, the hulking Russian Zangief, and much more.

Junko: And his years of experience made him incredibly powerful!

https://youtu.be/tpEK-piofnM

Junko: He's strong enough to take on foes like Akuma, who can destroy an entire island with a single punch! He also beat Asura, who was strong enough to punch him through the moon, and even tanked an attack that pierced through the very Earth itself!

Monika: He's strong enough to fight on par with peak-condition humans, superhumans, gods, demons, sorcerers, etc. He's fought Thanos, Thor, Ultron Sigma, and Galactus! He's even fought Apocolypse twice.

Junko: He could move way faster than light, keeping up with heavy hitters like Tommy Oliver and the Hulk! He's even beat M. Bison who could take on powerhouses like Magneto!

https://youtu.be/aZL4upd4QpI

Monika: Ryu is an extraordinarily talented martial artist, being singled out by Akuma as a worthy foe and by M. Bison as a strong vessel to seize as his own. Despite having met and worked with Taskmaster, a combat instructor and mercenary who can replicate the moves of others just by looking at them "no matter how complex", Super-Skrull considers Ryu to be the pinnacle of human perfection. Even impressing the likes of Tommy Oliver, Captain America, and Archie Mega Man, who can fight on equal grounds with Archie Sonic.

Junko: He considers guys like Chris Redfield, a former S.T.A.R.S. agent turned BSAA operative who has ample experience with all types of weaponry as well as boasting a mastery in the use of knives and hand-to-hand combat, to be a predictable fighter.

Monika: As stated earlier, Ryu is incredibly skilled in the art of Ansatsuken, or the Assassin's fist. This martial art incorporates karate, judo, and kenpo techniques. The version taught to him by his master, however, is a more nonlethal version known as Shotokan.

Junko: And this nonlethal version comes with a lot of badass tricks too, like the ever-so-popular Shoryuken!

Junko: This move is technically Ken's signature move, but Ryu's the one who made it famous. A jumping uppercut that sends his opponent flying! he has other variations of this attack, like the Shin Shoryuken, which aims for the midsection instead of the face.

Monika: Then there's the Tatsumaki Senpukyaku.

Monika: That's... certainly a name. Japanese for the Tornado Whirlwind Leg, it's a spinning, midair kick that involves the user jumping up and rotating their legs. Ryu can use it to hit either three times, or once with a stronger, harsher blow. He can sometimes lift his body high enough to fly over projectiles.

Junko: He has another variation called the Shinku Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, where he creates a vacuum wave, pulling opponents in and damaging them.

Monika: And finally the Joudan Sokutogeri!

Junko: This one has many names! It's Japanese for the High-Level Leg Blade Kick and it's also called the Donkey Kick, but if you ask Google it's the Diarrhoea Joke Foot!

Monika: ... Why did I have a feeling you'd bring that up? This attack is a simple, yet strong, forward-stepping kick. Though it is slow and easy to parry. Yet it's capable of sending his foes flying upon contact.

Junko: He does have some weapons as well. Like the Heroes and Herald Cards!

Junko: These cards give the user a huge power boost, increasing Ryu's speed, strength, and durability to a certain extent. He can reflect damage dealt from attacks, make himself immune to projectile attacks, turn invisible, poison his foes, negate healing, heal himself, and even summon allies to his side.

Monika: Impressive, but not as impressive as the Infinite Stones.

Monika: Six extremely powerful artifacts from the Marvel Universe. Each one has a specific power. The Power, Time, Space, Mind, and Reality gems.

Junko: With the Power stone, Ryu can increase the power of his attacks. The Time Stone can increase his speed, let him turn intangible, or even create a barrier beyond time!

Monika: The Reality Gem lets Ryu fire energy spheres, explosive pumpkins, giant pillars of stone, or slow energy bursts that home in on targets. He can also project a wind blade, a floor of ice that freezes opponents, a beam of fire, and a bolt of lightning from above, all of which home on its opponents.

Junko: With the Space Stone, he can create barriers and portals as well as turn himself nearly invincible. He's granted Super Armour, a state in which most attacks will fail to stagger him. He can also trap targets within a cube of energy, restricting their movement and leaving them vulnerable to combos.

Monika: Both the Mind and Soul stones can control the mind and body, but only the Soul Stone can heal others and himself, drain his opponent's life force, corrupt gods, and even purify them.

Junko: Of course, the Space and Reality stones alone can fuse two realities together. But with all of them, you can control all of existence. Magneto used it to create a new moon for Mutants to live on while Thanos used it to snap half his universe out of existence!

Monika: But those are his reality-warping weapons. We still have his... oh... stuff from Fortnite...

Neptune: Neptune is back again! Now this is kinda funny because the scaling is pretty much pointless at this point. He's already fought almost all the Marvel guys in it. But he still has the blueprints to make whatever wooden construct he wants. He's also got some pickaxes, a jetpack for flight, etcetera.

Monika: Honestly, we can't escape this game, can we?

Neptune: Well if it helps he's also got Smash Bros items.

https://youtu.be/1kalsCPXfaQ

Neptune: Giving him access to guns, swords, pickaxes, explosives, a superstar that temporarily turns you invincible, a mushroom that increases your size, poke balls with a random Pokemon inside, a freaking black hole, and more!

Junko: In Smash Bros he's taken on guys like Galeem, who threatened to destroy every universe in Smash, including Mario's expansive galaxy, Sonic's infinite universe, and Joker's infinite multiverse.

Monika: All with the power of his ki.

Monika: Ki is a preternatural energy form found in all living beings. It can be harnessed via martial arts and other forms of physical activity and qualified by the strength and build of one's body, as well as their health, finesse, and muscle.

Junko: Ryu's ki is exceptionally strong! Even stronger than Chun-Li's, who was able to create a large crater with a full-power explosion of energy!

Monika: On top of that, Ki can be converted into elemental power by some. Elemental affinities take the form of the element most sympathetic to the user. For example, Ryu's affinity is Lightning due to his focus on energy manipulation in his fighting style.

Junko: Thus allowing him to infuse electricity into his attacks. But he can also use attacks like the Hadoken!

Monika: A surging energy wave, which produces a punching force traveling through the air. Ryu, as a proficient user of "jutsu", has created several variations of the Hadoken. Like the Shakunetsu Hadoken, which is a Hadoken imbued with thermal energy, setting it alight in the form of a fireball. It's charged faster than Akuma's version though not as strong.

Junko: The Denjin Hadoken is a Hadoken imbued with electricity, enhancing its power further and causing it to release a powerful discharge upon impact and stun the opponent for a short period of time.

Monika: The Shinku Hadoken is a large, multi-hitting Hadoken that encompasses an entire stage, but can be jumped over more easily. It can easily overpower most projectile attacks and sometimes manifests itself as a Kamehameha-esque energy beam. It can be fired in multiple directions and directed whilst being fired.

Junko: The Ren Hadoken are five Hadoken blasts fired in rapid succession of each other, albeit each one having a much shorter range. And finally, the Baku Hadoken is a charged Hadoken that, when released, briefly vanishes from sight before reappearing, and detonating with explosive force when it connects.

Monika: There's also the Hado Shoryuken, where he empowers his Shoryuken's striking force with the blue ki of Hadoken. The strike sends a Hadoken firing directly up, striking the airborne opponent.

Junko: Now then, on to his transformations! Did you know, Ryu is a Power Ranger?!

https://youtu.be/wbM7p5-cG2k

Monika: By channeling the power of the Morphing Grid energy, Ryu can morph into the Crimson Hawk Ranger. In this state, not only are his speed, strength, power, durability, and reflexes all enhanced, but so are all of his senses. He can also use fire in his attacks.

Junko: As stated before his power was enough to impress the Red Ranger himself. But even this is nothing compared to the sheer might of the Satsui no Hado, which will transform him into Evil Ryu.

Monika: A transformation that Ryu undergoes when he fully succumbs to the Satsui no Hado. This power augments Ryu's physicality and ki levels greatly, allowing him to overpower and defeat Akuma and Shin Akuma, even canceling out the latter's Shun Goku Satsu with his own.

Junko: He's strong enough to fight Vajra Asura on equal footing, and even unlevelled the part of the moon Augus had during his battle with Asura with a single punch! Enduring a six-armed uppercut, a headbutting contest, and even Asura attempting the Raging Demon on him! Evil Ryu's power is so great that Thanos himself has stated it to be even greater than the Infinity Gems and has said it was great enough to kill Lady Death! The living manifestation of Death itself! He even used it to teach Hulk how to control his anger!

Monika: In this form, he becomes a cold-blooded, arrogant warrior, thirsty for blood and death. His fighting style also changes into a mix of his own and Akuma's, crossing his simplistic style with Akuma's brutal power and combos. Due to the power of the Satsui no Hado, Ryu acquires new moves that he can use in battle.

Junko: Like the Messatsu Gohadou!

https://youtu.be/s0g-HADDUEE

Junko: A larger, much stronger Shinku Hadoken, using the dark ki of the Satsui no Hado.

Monika: There's also the Messatsu Goshoryu, where he hits his foe with a powerful barrage of Shoryuken hits, before then infusing dark ki into his fist to drive the opponent's face into the ground, scorching the foe with dark-purple flames.

Junko: Then there's the Tatsumaki Zankukyaku.

https://youtu.be/x6n5PtRpzNc

Junko: Similar to the Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, it hits multiple times, like Ken's, but it's much stronger and faster. It's also harder to control. Ryu can even add a little lightning to it.

Monika: There's also the Ryusokyaku.

https://youtu.be/tgquJ7e54yE

Monika: A fierce axe kick, the power of which varies depending on if it was a light or heavy attack.

Junko: And finally the Ashura Senku, which lets him glide around the battlefield to evade enemy attacks. Akuma even used this to fly.

Monika: But his most powerful attack in this form has to be the Shun Goku Satsu, also known as the Raging Demon.

https://youtu.be/7ktuK4QE424

Junko: A forbidden move, taught in the original principles of Ansatsuken. When performed, the user of the Satsui no Hado would rage out of control, their wrath only able to be quelled by the death of the opponent.

Monika: This move is a barrage of blows said to inflict punishment onto one's soul with the weight of their sins, completely destroying their spirits. Very few have actually survived this technique.

Junko: I know that I will because I committed no sins AT ALL!!!

Monika: ... ... ...

Junko: ... ... ... What?

Monika: ... Nothing...

Junko: Well speaking of nothing, Ryu can always forget about the Satsui no Hado and channel the Power of Nothingness!

Monika: A state of consciousness transcending normal perspective that can only be learned through spiritual and mental refinement. It allows one to act without letting emotions such as greed, pride, anger, etc. act as guidance.

Junko: Msking it the complete opposite of the Satsui no Hado in every way, even allowing him to seal away and repel the Satsui no Hado.

Monika: It grants him exceptional power to use in battle, rendering him temporarily invulnerable to damage, and capable of greatly-empowered attacks.

https://youtu.be/p9eqobfHs6U

Monika: Like the Hado Kakusei, which augments Ryu with a great burst of ki power, greatly increasing his attack power and speed while allowing him to access and use two powerful techniques.

Junko: The first one being the Shin Hadoken, a larger, more powerful version of the Shinku Hadoken that can now bounce off walls. The second is the Shin Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, a more powerful version of the Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, creating a destructive maelstrom that decimates everything in its path!

Monika: But by combining the Satsui no Hado with the Power of Nothingness, Ryu can advance even further, becoming Shin Ryu.

Junko: This is by far his greatest form, far surpassing guys like Gill and Akuma. In this form, he can fly, move objects with his mind, see the future to an extent, nullify the powers of others, and even seal away one's transformations!

Monika: His Hadoken is made more powerful than ever by the combination of positive and negative energy. It also displayed additional effects, such as exorcising Gill's soul from Alex. He can use all the attacks of both the Setsui no Hado and the Power of Nothingness, including the Metsu Shoryuken.

Monika: An extremely powerful Shoryuken, using the power of the Satsui no Hado, albeit under Ryu's control. This move possesses enough power to completely crush an opponent's jaw, and blast them into the air with the force of the uppercut.

Junko: Then there's the Kongou Kokuretsuzan!

Junko: Ryu imbues his fist with ki and punches the ground, causing the eruption of several energy pillars.

Monika: There's also the Tengu Stone.

Monika: A technique inherited from Oro. Ryu telekinetically lifts objects from his surroundings, usually boulders, and hurls them at the opponent with great precision.

Junko: And there's the Fudoshin!

Junko: Ryu unleashes an omnidirectional energy wave which shoots powerful beams all around.

Monika: And finally, there's his Denjin Hadoken.

Monika: The strongest version of the Hadoken, imbued with the power of electricity.

Junko: But just because Ryu is incredibly powerful doesn't mean he's perfect. If anything he's a jack-of-all-trades, master of none.

Junko: He's heavily reliant on close-quarter combat, and his attacks can leave him vulnerable and open to counter-attacking if they fail.

Monika: Enough damage can knock him out of his transformations, especially with Evil Ryu, a form that he lacks control over. His lack of control over Evil Ryu can make him arrogant, prolonging the kill to savor the battle. Evil Ryu also has less defensive options, favoring a purely aggressive fighting style.

Junko: Also, Ryu himself just really hates cars.

Monika: I'm sorry?

https://youtu.be/LgF2aSpyQDs

Monika: Where do you keep finding these commercials?!

Junko: But Ryu will keep traveling the Earth, finding new challengers to face and new obstacles to overcome. He may not be the smartest outside of combat, but he's certainly a Street Fighter.

Ryu: I am not "Evil", nor I am "Good"... I have chosen to be beholden to neither the negative or positive aspects of my ki, but to be in complete communion with both. I am my whole self in harmony with its true nature. I am Shin Ryu.
