The entire stadium was filled with fans surrounding the ring. Junko and Monika went to take their seats.

Monika: There sure are a lot of people here to see this match.

Junko: Yeah, about 135,132.

Monika: That number seems... oddly specific. Wait, we're not hosting this one?

Junko: Nope, they are.

Junko points down at the announce tables where Howard and Kreese are sitting.

Howard: Greetings, gore sports fans! My name is Howard "Buckshot" Holmes, and along with my co-commentator Kreese Kreely, I'll be giving you a slay-by-slay account of tonight's bloodbath! ... Wait a second, when did we start commentating on a boxing match?

Kreese: Who the hell cares? We got front-row seats to our main event! It's time for a Death Battle!

Rise Kujikawa was in the middle of the ring with a microphone in her hands.

Rise: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for a one fall! And it is for the Death Battle Boxing Championship!

She pointed to the left.

Rise: Introducing the challenger, from the Bronx, New York, weighing in at 107 Ibs... Little... Mac!!!

The spotlight went to Little Mac, who started shadowboxing before throwing his jacket into the air as the crowd went wild.

Louis: Alright kid, show them what you got.

Little Mac: Got it, Doc!

Rise then pointed to her left.

Rise: And introducing the challenger, from Tokyo Japan, weighing in at 125 Ibs... He is the Death Battle Boxing champion, Makunouchi Ippo!!!

ippo held the title high and the crowd roared once more.

Genji: Careful out there Ippo, I won't be able to throw the towel if things get rough.

Ippo: Got it!

Ippo gave the referee the title belt as Mathilda came in with a sign that said "Round 1".

Rise: Alright, ladies and gentlemen, let's get ready to rumble!

Both Mathilda and Rise stepped out of the ring as the bell rang and the two fighters approached each other.

Ippo: (Alright... Round On-)

Mac went for a punch and Ippo quickly dodged it before going for an uppercut. Mac jumped to the side to dodge and went for another punch but Ippo managed to shoulder block it, allowing for him to go for a one-step straight punch that Mac dodged again. He went for another jab but Ippo blocked it. Mac then went for another punch and Ippo ducked under it before getting back.

Ippo: (He's fast!)

Howard: Only a few seconds in and Little Mac is already giving Ippo some big problems!

Louis: Atta boy, Mac!

Ippo quickly used the Turtle Strategy to block as many of Mac's blows as possible, keeping himself guarded.

Ippo: (Hang in there... wait for the moment he slows down and... now!)

He managed to dodge one of Mac's punches and went for a One-Centimeter Punch. Mac quickly moved his head aside and dodged it before going for a punch of his own. Ippo quickly ducked under it and went for a Gazelle Punch but Mac stepped out of the way to dodge it before going for a strike to the face. Ippo quickly swung his head to the side, lessening the impact and momentum of the punch before going for another strike. Mac quickly jumped to the side and got back before Ippo punched him into the corner.

Howard: And just like that, Ippo's got Little Mac on the ropes!

Kreese: And we all know the type of shit he could do to him there!

Genji: C'mon Ippo, let 'em have it!

Ippo quickly went to start striking at his mid-section as Mac tried to block. Ippo was striking with as many blows as he could before the ref separated the two. Mac then leaped forward for an overhead punch but Ippo dodged it and went to punch him in the face. Mac quickly dodged out of the way and countered with an uppercut, staggering Ippo and dropping him to one knee.

Howard: And with one punch, Ippo is down!

Little Mac got back as the ref started the count.

Referee: One... two... three...

Ippo used this time to catch his breath and think.

Ippo: (He's tough. This isn't a guy I can just punch my way through. Gotta use my head too and think of a way to slow him down.)

Referee: ... four... five... six...

Ippo finally stood back to his feet and the match continued. Little Mac dashed at him and went for a powerful jab, but Ippo dodged it and went for two jabs which Mac quickly dodged. He went for another punch to the face, but Ippo dodged it and went for a punch to the face. Mac dodged that as well and punched him twice more. He started frantically swaying back and forth, confusing Little Mac.

Howard: Uh oh, looks like Ippo's Dipsey Roll is giving Little Mac a hard time!

Mac went for a left hook but Ippo dodged and hit him with a right. Mac then went for a right hook but Ippo dodged and went for a left to the face. Mac was about to block, but it was a faint punch, leaving Mac wide open for Ippo to hit him with a Heartbreak Shot. This stunned him just long enough for Ippo to hit him with a heavy Liver Blow that caused a shockwave behind Little Mac.

Little Mac: Oof!

Howard: Ouch!

Kreese: That's gonna leave a few broken ribs!

Ippo: (Now's my chance!)

Before Little Mac could get back, Ippo hit him in the gut with a 10-centimeter punch. He then twisted his entire body and hit Mac with a Tornado Jolt square in the face. Little Mac went staggering but he managed to lean on the ropes and bring himself up, keeping himself on his feet.

Little Mac: Guuuh... Ohhhgh... Uh!... Grrr! RAH!

Howard: Holy nitro! Even after all of that, Little Mac is still on his feet!

Ippo: (What? How is he still up?!)

Genji: Ippo, watch out!

Ippo snapped out of it and dodged one of Little Mac's jabs. He went for an uppercut but Mac jumped out the way and went for two more punches. Ippo dodged both and went for a punch of his own that Mac dodged. 

Ippo: (Right, even if he's still standing, that punch still managed to slow him down! I can still win-)

Ippo went for another punch but Mac dodged and hit him in the face with a K.O. Punch, which knocked him square on his face.

Howard: Ippo is down for the second time in this match!

Louis: That's right, Mac baby! That's how we do it!

Ippo: (What was that? I didn't even see it coming...)

Ref: One... two... three...

Ippo was struggling just to get to one knee.

Ref: Four... five... six...

Howard: The ref's at six!

Kreese: I advise staying down after that punch!!

Genji: Come on Ippo...

Ref: Seven... eight...

Ippo finally managed to get to his feet.

Ding Ding!

Howard: Ippo managed to get to his feet!

Kreese: And just in time too! Round one is officially done!

Both Ippo and Mac were breathing heavily. They looked at each other before going into their respective corners. Little Mac sat down in his corner.

Little Mac: He's hurt me, Doc!

Louis: Hang in there, Mac. You got this. Here, have some chocolate.

Louis gave Mac chocolate to help him rejuvenate. Meanwhile, Ippo sat in his corner as well.

Ippo: This guy's tough...

Genji: He might be strong, but his style is simple. Try and remain unpredictable. Don't let him predict your next move and you should be fine. Got it?

Ippo: Yeah.

Mathilda came in with a sign that said "Round 2".

She stepped out of the ring as the bell rang for the second match to start. Both fighters stood up and faced each other as Little Mac was already charging up a punch. Ippo didn't move as he waited for Mac to make the first move.

Ippo: (Don't let him predict my next move...)

Mac went for a powerful straight punch. Ippo waited till the last possible second before slipping his head to the side, avoiding the strike and hitting Mac in the face with a powerful overhead punch that knocked him straight into the ground.

Howard: Not even a few seconds into this match and Ippo has already got Mac down!

Ref: One... two... three...

Louis: C'mon kid, get up!

Ref: ... four... five...

Mac got to his feet as Ippo changed stances.

Kreese: Little Mac's got up, but it looks like Ippo's goin' for a good ol' fashion Southpaw stance!

Louis: Keep your guard up, kid!

Little Mac quickly put his guard up as Ippo started delivering powerful punches with his less-dominant hand. 

Little Mac: (Keep my guard up, just as Doc said!)

Ippo then went for a powerful right that broke Mac's guard. Ippo then started punching him in the face at a rapid speed. Mac quickly grabbed onto him and forced the referee to separate the two. This allowed Mac the opportunity to go for another K.O. Punch, but Ippo quickly crossed his arms together to block it. Little Mac quickly hit him with a body blow and then went for a flying uppercut. Ippo jumped back to dodge it last second as Mac quickly reverted it to another Jolt Haymaker that Ippo would dodge as well. 

Ippo: (This guy still has me on the defense!)

Ippo started swaying back and forth, using the Dimpsey Roll to his advantage again. Mac could quickly see the pattern and went for a swing, but Ippo saw this coming and stopped mid-rotation, causing Mac to miss as Ippo punched him in the gut again. Mac winched in pain but took it before punching Ippo in the gut too. They both got back.

Genji: Don't let him catch his breath! Keep him on his toes!

Before Little Mac could catch a break, Ippo moved at him again and started going for a barrage of punches which Little Mac dodged. Ippo went for one to the face but Mac moved out of the way before going for a jab of his own. Mac dodged and went for a liver blow which Mac jumped away from. 

Louis: Quick feet, Mac! Quick feet!

Ippo went for another strike, but Mac ducked under it and punched him in the gut. He then went for a punch to the face that knocked him back. Mac quickly started moving in and going for his own barrage of punches. Ippo used the turtle strategy to block as many of them as possible.

Louis: Left, right! Left, right! That's it, baby!

Genji: Aim for those broken ribs, Ippo! That'll slow him down!

Mac went for a left jab and Ippo dodged it before punching him in the gut. He then went for a punch to the face, but Mac moved his head to the side before going for a punch of his own. Ippo ducked under it and went for an uppercut but Mac jumped to the side. He went for another jab and punched Ippo in the face, but Ippo took it and punched him in the gut again. 

Ippo: (I've hit this guy with everything!)

He went and punched him in the face. He went to punch him again but Mac dodged and punched him back in the face then punched him in the gut.

Little Mac: (So why won't he go down?!)

Mac went for another punch to the face and it connected. he went for a third but Ippo ducked under it and went for another punch to his gut.

Kreese: If Ippo keeps hittin' him like that, Mac may get more than two holes in 'em!

Ippo went for another punch to the face but Mac dodged and went for a punch of his own. Ippo dodged that as Little Mac's movements were getting slower and he was breathing heavily. He went for another punch but Ippo dodged it and hit Mac with two jabs. Mac then went for another punch, but he was too slow as Ippo hit him with a Gazelle Punch that knocked him to the ground.

Louis: Mac!

Howard: And Little Mac is down! Will he recover?!

Ref: One... two... three...

Little Mac was breathing heavily as Ippo was catching his breath.

Ref: Four... five... six...

Genji: C'mon... stay down...

Ref: Seven... eight... nine...

Mac managed to slowly get to one knee before standing up to his feet just in time.

Howard: And against all odds, Little Mac has stood back up!

Ding Ding!

Howard: And there's the bell, ending the second round!

Both fighters went into their respective corners. Doc Louis immediately went to give Little Mac some chocolate.

Louis: You alright there kid?

Little Mac: I can't win this, Doc!

Louis: Yes you can, Mac! Hang in there!

Meanwhile, Ippo was catching his breath.

Genji: You okay Ippo?

Ippo: My hand hurts a little, but I'm fine.

Genji: I told you to be careful. Still, the kid's tougher than he looks. We may need to change our strategy.

Ippo: Huh? Are you sure?

Genji nods as Mathilda comes with a sign that reads "Round 3"

Mathilda stepped out of the ring as the bell rang for round three.

Howard: Alright, time for the third and final round!

Kreese: These guys better be careful because neither can afford to be knocked down again!

Genji: Looks like the rounds starting. Get out there and show 'em hell.

Ippo: Right!

Louis: The rounds started. Show 'em what you're made of kid!

Little Mac: Got it, Doc!

The two fighters stood up and approached each other. They bumped fists as a sign of respect before getting into a fighting stance. This time, Ippo was in a brawling stance. 

Kreese: Looks like Ippo's planning on taking this head-on!

Ippo quickly came up to Mac and went for a punch. Little Mac dodged and punched him in the gut but Ippo took it and punched him in the face twice.

Genji: There we go Ippo! Keep at it!

Mac hit Ippo with a jab to the chest and then to the face. Ippo took that and punched him in the gut. He went to punch his face again but Mac dodged and punched him in the gut before punching him in the face. The two of them then started rapidly striking at each other.

Howard: Both these guys are going back and forth! Neither plan on backing down any time soon!

Little Mac's punches were starting to grow faster and Ippo was beginning to need to block them before being punched into the corner. He looked up as Little Mac grew in size and became Giga Mac.

Giga Mac: Rragh!

Kreese: Looks like Little Mac finally grew and he grew hard!

Howard: Wait a sec, is that legal?

Kreese: This guy's been throwing jumping attacks three times and you're askin' that now?!

Giga Mac: Grahhh!

He went for a right hook and Ippo quickly dodged it before striking his mid-section. Giga Mac didn't look phased.

Giga Mac: Rah!

He went for several more punches and Ippo was using the free-style Dempsey Roll to dodge his attacks. 

Genji: Keep it going, Ippo! 

Louis: Bring him down, Giga Mac!

Giga Mac: Gruhh!

Giga Mac went for an overhead punch that Ippo quickly ducked under before striking his chest. 

Giga Mac: Raagh!

He went for an uppercut but Ippo dodged that too and struck him three more times before Giga Mac punched him in the gut. Ippo winched in pain as Giga Mac punched him again and knocked him back. 

Giga Mac: G-Gruh gruh...

He was about to go for a downward punch, but before he could, he reverted back to Little Mac, allowing for Ippo to dodge his punch and hit him with an uppercut.

Howard: And looks like Giga Mac still wasn't enough!

Genji: Now's your chance Ippo!

Ippo went for a punch and Mac dodged it before going for two punches of his own. Ippo dodged them both as they both went to strike each other at the same time, hitting each other in the face.

Ippo: Geh! I'm not done yet!

Ippo then went for a Tekken punch. With a fist of iron, he struck Mac in the chest so hard it left an imprint and broke Ippo's hand in the process. Mac grits his teeth and struck Ippo upside the head, causing some blood to splatter onto the ring. Still, Ippo stood his ground and went for another powerful punch. At the same time, Little Mac went for a Star Punch. He managed to duck under Ippo's straight punch and strike him square in the face, cracking both his neck and his spine and causing him to collapse, falling dead on the ground. Little Mac then held his hands up high. 

Little Mac: Right on!

Genji: Ippo no!

Genji entered the wring and held the deceased Ippo in his hands as Louis celebrated with Little Mac.

Howard: And it's finally over!

Kreese: Ippo may have been smarter with more experience, but Little Mac was just too fast for the guy. Much tougher and durable too.

Howard: Yeah, they both scale to guys who can punch out bears, but the guys Little Mac fights can do way more than anything Ippo has shown.

Kreese: Looks like Little Mac was a big problem for the much smaller Ippo!

Rise held Little Mac's hand high, giving him the title belt.

Rise: Here is your winner and new Death Battle champion, Little Mac!

Louis: Ice those knuckles, son! We gotta get ready for the next challenge!

As they headed back to their car, a hooded figure passed them and whispered something to Monika. She turned around but the person was already gone.

Junko: Hm? Something wrong?

Monika: Oh um it's nothing. Anyway, what battle are we doing next? 

Junko: Hehehe... next time on Death Battle!
