Monika: In life, Frederick Charles Krueger was a sadistic monster of a man. 

Junko: No kidding! The guy was a preschool teacher who tortured, molested, and murdered children! He makes R. Kelly look like a saint in comparison!

Monika: But even after speaking up against him, the court let him go on a technicality, which understandably pissed off the parents of his victims. Chasing him down into an industrial building, Frederick would meet his demise after one parent threw a homemade gasoline bomb at him and burned him alive.

Junko: Dame, it was homemade? That must have been one determined parent! But like any slasher villain, Fred wasn't gone for long as he made a deal with Dream Demons, who gave him the power needed to continue his murdering spree! He would become the vengeful Dream Demon, Freddy Krueger!

Monika: This Dream Demon is incredibly strong, being able to slice apart the human body with ease and go against other powerful slashers like Jason Voorhees and Ash Williams.

Junko: He's been shot, stabbed, slashed, blown up, decapitated, thrown into buildings, etcetera! But as long as he's in the dream world, he's pretty much immortal.

Monika: Even his reanimated skeleton was capable of taking down full-grown men. Freddy is fast and agile, just as well as he is smart and dangerous.

Junko: Yeah, it may not look like it but the guy is smarter than he looks and he has plenty of knowledge when it comes to demonic entities. He's the type of guy to plan out his kills with sadistic mastery, playing into his opponent's fears, weaknesses, and interests in order to get an edge!

Monika: He's also surprisingly good at fighting for himself, using anything to his advantage as he's not afraid to cheap tricks to achieve victory. 

Junko: Of course, his main weapon to do this would be his Clawed Glove.

Junko: A little toy he made himself before his death. A semi-metal gauntlet with 4 knives attached to the fingers, perfect for slicing and dicing his victims to pieces!

Monika: He also has Demonic Gloves.

Monika: Gloves he obtained after he was pulled into the real world by Shao Khan in Mortal Kombat. 

Junko: With a K! Hold up, but isn't that, like, none canon?

Monika: It is, but thanks to a certain book, it wouldn't be unreasonable for him to obtain them regardless. We'll get to that later.

Junko: Still, these claws enhance his physical strength in the real world, letting him go up against other fighters in Mortal Kombat and use demonic abilities like summoning giant blades, firing energy projectiles that put you to sleep, or throwing his gloves at you and have them always come back. Simple stuff like that, but nothing as impressive as his power within the Dream World!

Monika: When in the Dream World, Freddy is at his best, being almost unstoppable. He gains a massive boost in his speed, strength, and durability. On top of this, any damage he does to you in the Dream World will affect you in the real world, and all the souls of his victims are absorbed into his body.

Junko: Freddy's control over the dream world also allows him to control the environment around him. His favorite way of doing this is turning the area into a boiler room. 

Monika: In the Dream World, Freddy can read minds, teleport, walk through walls, and move objects or even people with a dash of telekinesis.

Junko: He can even shapeshift at will!

Monika: Right, Freddy can change his change at will. It can be as simple as turning his arm into a giant serpent or becoming a giant version of himself. He can turn himself invisible or even turn himself intangible.

Junko: He can control your appearance too. Whether it's turning you into paper or making you a younger version of yourself, it's really up to him. Trust me, anything's better than having your blood vessels be used as puppet strings, which he can do since he can manipulate blood too. You can't control his blood either since it's been replaced with some weird acid liquid instead.

Monika: Freddy can make duplicates of himself or even use his own shadow to kill you. Or, if he wanted to, he could take over your body and possess you. The results would cause extreme heat to form in reality.

Junko: Plus, he has his own healing factor! Sure, he can heal through minor injuries in the real world, but in the Dream World, he takes this to a whole new level! Allowing him to not only regrow lost limbs but even come back from a drop of blood! Hell, he even came back after having both his mind, body, and soul absorbed! And that's not even taking into consideration the fact that he's highly resistant to other magical attacks!

Monika: Speaking of things he can do in the real world, Freddy isn't entirely powerless outside of the dream world.

Monika: As stated before, he has a healing factor, albeit weaker than the one in the Dream World. He also has control over fire, allowing him to create massive explosions just by teleporting. He can set pools on fire or ignite flammable substances around him. He can produce heat so potent that it can even melt living creatures.

Junko: But nothing tops his greatest treasure, the Necronomicon!

Junko: A demonic book bound in human skin that allows one to summon the dead and harness the power of the Force! Not the Star Wars Force, of course. Rather it's a near-omniscient demonic entity with great power that commands the Deadites.

Monika: With this book, Freddy can bring objects to life, increase his own physical stats, increase the intelligence of others, or even create portals across time and space. By absorbing this book into himself, he obtains all his powers from the Dream World and brings them into reality, turning the world into a living nightmare.

Junko: But this doesn't make him all-powerful.

Junko: In fact, once you get him outside of the Dream World, you'll find that he has a ton of weaknesses. The guy's super overconfident and loves to toy with his prey. On top of that, he can't use the powers of the Dream World in real life without the Necronomicon, and even then, he risks losing all his Dream World powers just by absorbing that book into his body.

Monika: He can be killed if you lay his body to rest on hallowed ground, and in the real world he's weak to crosses, fire, holy water, and his own reflection. 

Junko: Also his powers rely on fear. If the person isn't scared enough of him, it will severely weaken his control of the dream world. It would make it worse if the Necronomicon decided Freddy wasn't worth the trouble. Then Freddy's left as nothing more than a normal man!

Monika: But even so, Freddy would continue to haunt everyone's dreams, becoming a literal waking nightmare.
