Monika: Let's go back a bit. We've already discussed the world of Persona plenty of times in the past and how a group of Highschool students formed SEES to take down dangerous creatures called Shadows lurking within the Dark Hour. But what if I told you that there was someone made specifically to deal with those Shadows?

Junko: Enter Aigis! The Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon and everyone's favorite toaster waifu!

Monika: And the perfect weapon to fight against the Shadows.

Monika: Aigis is incredibly strong, capable of taking on multiple shadows at once, sometimes with just her bare hands. She could take on the top tiers in her series like Elizabeth and has even overwhelmed and defeated every member of SEES, including Akihiko and Mitsuru.

Junko: She didn't just take out SEES, she took out the Investigation Team too! Even proving equal to another fellow Wild Card user, Yu Narukami!

Monika: Aigis battled and defeated the mountain-sized Erebus and even helped in taking down Nyx, a literal avatar of the Goddess of Death. She's fast enough to dodge bullets, lightning, lasers, and all sorts of elemental attacks. 

Junko: She should be as fast as Makoto, who casually flew to the moon in seconds. And she's not just incredibly strong either. She's incredibly smart too!

Monika: Or well... as smart as she can be. 

Junko: Okay, everyday tasks might not be her strong suit, but she's a genius when it comes to combat. Like, she was literally made for it! She can speak any language, including animal and she's broken into Makoto's room multiple times through lockpicking. Each time getting better than the last!

Monika: She's an expert at both close-quarters combat and long-ranged sharpshooting. She's even got the willpower to resist her own reprogramming... somehow.

Junko: I mean, if you can seal death inside of a child then you can do pretty much anything. Like carrying a shit ton of weapons in your body!

Kokonoe: Looks like I'm up. Aigis has a ton of weapons installed inside of her body. Honestly, I'm surprised they could fit all that. She has eye scanners that let her scan her foes and gather information. All ten of her fingers can fire highspeed bullets and her hands can take many forms, such as a sniper rifle, grenade launchers, drills, and flamethrowers.

Junko: She can use her flamethrowers to set herself on fire, tackling her opponents! Now that's just hardcore!

Kokonoe: She can bring out a Gatling gun and a gigantic nail gun from her arm.

Junko: In her back is the Pandora Missle Launcher which is a total of six massive missile launchers! 

Kokonoe: Right. She also has jets on her back and hips to boost speed and flight as well as a Motor Cannon on her back. She can throw sticky bombs or drop grenades down from her back and she has the Multi-Mounted Machine Gun Orion, which are several massive machine guns inside of her body.

Junko: Of course, that's not her most powerful technique. Her most powerful ability is her ability to use a Persona!

Monika: Personas are the manifestation of one's psyche, typically taking the form of mythological figures. But Aigis isn't just some regular Persona user.

Junko: Yeah, after the death of Makoto, Aigis inherited his ability to use the Wild Card! Giving her access to all 173 of his Persona!

Monika: We already went over just about all of them in Kotone's battle, who has all the same Persona as her male counterpart. 

Junko: Yep, so we won't go over all of them but we will go over a few. Because before this, she had Palladion!

Monika: A guardian statue in ancient Greece, stolen from Troy, that protected the city in which it was enshrined. It is said that Athena was so saddened by the death of her friend, Pallas, that she had the wooden statue made in her image.

Junko: This thing is resistant to physical and piercing attacks and is immune to poison. Though it's weak to electricity. She can use this Persona to do major physical damage and even nuke her enemies!

Monika: It can increase her strength and defense while nullifying any debuffs. It can heal Aigis, revive her allies, decrease her opponent's defenses, and temporarily nullify any magical attack not including Almighty attacks.

Junko: And this Persona will eventually evolve into Pallas Athena!

Monika: Daughter of Zeus, and a goddess of great martial ability. She fights to protect her land or family, but never for sheer bloodlust. Her symbol is the olive tree and she's Aigis' main Persona.

Junko: Athena blocks physical attacks, guns, and piercing attacks and is immune to poison. She's resistant to wind but is still weak to electricity. Luckily she can do everything Palladion can do, including the performance of Aigis' finishing move, but we'll get to that later.

Monika: Right. We still have her other Persona to get to. The main one she got from Makoto is Orpheus.

Monika: A poet of Greek mythology skilled with the lyre. He tried to retrieve his wife from Hades, but she vanished when he looked upon her before reaching the surface.

Junko: Orpheus is resistant to light attacks but is weak to darkness and electricity. Man, Aigis just can't escape that weakness, can she?

Monika: Using his harp as a weapon, Orpheus is mostly a fire-type Persona. He can heal Aigis, increase her durability, decrease her opponent's durability and power, raise her magical power, and even use the Almighty attack known as Megidolaon.

Junko: And of course, we can't forget about my favorite Persona, Thanatos!

Monika: The Greek god of death, he is the son of Nyx and the brother of Hypnos. He is depicted as a young man with an inverted torch and wreath or butterfly in his hands.

Junko: Yeah, he's also known for giving his opponents a peaceful death, but there's nothing peaceful about this guy! He reflects dark attacks and is resistant to not just slashes and strikes, but all elemental attacks as well. 

Monika: Thanatos is a foe known for instantly killing his opponents, either through fear or with the power of darkness. 

Junko: He can control other elements like fire and wind. He can also heal Aigis, steal her enemy's health, deliver powerful strikes with the sword in his hand, block powerful blows with the coffins on his back,  and unleash incredibly powerful Almighty attacks. 

Monika: But even Thanatos comes nowhere close to the power of Makoto's ultimate Persona that Aigis has inherited, Messiah.

Monika: A Persona of another story. He appears before Judgement Day to save the virtuous. He is a universal figure, appearing in myths around the world. Many stories involve his death and rebirth.

Junko: He's resistant to fire, ice, electricity, psychic, and nuclear attacks! He can reflect light and he used to be weak to darkness, but that was retconned so now he can reflect that too! And he can absorb physical attacks.

Monika: Just like Orpheus, Messiah mostly has fire-based attacks. However, he has a ton of Almighty attacks at his disposal as well. He can strengthen all magical attacks, including Almighty ones. He can also heal Aigis and bring her back to life once per battle. He can even greatly decrease her opponent's physical capabilities.

Junko: Of course, she's got a bunch more, so you don't want to mess with her. She even has her own finishing move, the Heritage Liberator Palladion!

Junko: Where Aigis summons Athena to impale the foe on her spear! Aigis then summons a laser gun three times her size, charges it up, and fires a massive beam of energy to vaporize her foes!

Monika: Right, you definitely don't want to get caught up in that. Nor do you want to face her when she's activated her Orgia Mode.

Monika: A mode that releases Aigis' limiters, allowing her to go all out, increasing her stats as well as boosting her power. Originally, this mode would cause her to overheat, leaving her vulnerable to attack. But that was eventually retconned so now it will only cause her to lose control of herself afterwards.

Junko: Even then, she can boost herself even further with Extreme Orgia Mode, going beyond her limitations while refilling her ammo and healing herself in the process!

Monika: But Aigis isn't unstoppable just because she has all this power.

Monika: Aigis still loses control of herself after using Orgia mode. She also has limited ammo but barely has to worry about it.

Junko: Yeah, Aigis is still a machine at risk of being destroyed. But with all of her power, she'll give anyone she meets a fight of their life.

Aigis: Everyone... I realize now that I have friends as well. You don't have to save the world to find meaning in life... Sometimes, all you need is something simple, like someone to take care of. I'll keep on living no matter what, so that I can protect you...
