Kokonoe: The World of Remnant is a place roamed by both Humans and Faunus alike. But there were also the creators of Grimm who roamed the earth and were led by a being of pure evil, Salem.

Junko: All in the name of bringing Ultimate Despair! But the humans couldn't just sit back and let this happen. So a certain man named Professor Ozpin made a bunch of schools to train a new generation of Huntsman and Huntresses to bring a newfound hope into the world.

Kokonoe: One of these Huntresses was Yang Xiao Long, the elder sister to Ruby Rose and the one who puts Y in Team RWBY.

Junko: As in Y do I keep making all these terrible puns! Haha!

Kokonoe: With her real mother gone missing, and her second mother is presumed dead, Yang mostly came to Beacon to find questions about why her mom left and have fun while doing it.

Junko: Little did anyone know that the shadow of Despair had joined the ranks of their peaceful school filled with false hope. As a result of their own ignorance, Cinder Fall left the school in ruin. In the process, Yang lost her arm and one of her friends had been murdered...

Ann: But Yang stood on her feet to fight! And got a handy new arm to boot! But we'll get to that later.

Kokonoe: In that regard, Yang is incredibly strong.

Junko: More like she's the physically strongest in her team! She can cause a small quake by punching the floor and can create shockwaves with her fist! She's even stronger than Ruby, who can lift a giant Grimm up a cliff!

Kokonoe: It should be noted that a Nevermore can emit a force of 141.3548 tons of TNT.

Ann: She's capable of taking hits from giant Grimm and can fight Beowolves for a whole day! 

Kokonoe: Not only is she the strongest, but she's more durable than any of her teammates.

Ann: She can tank a 1400-ton strike from the Atlesian Paladin that launched hr through three pillars! She's survived massive explosions, being catapulted across a forest, and even survived two several-minute falls with no injuries whatsoever!

Junko: And one of those times Nora had sent her flying with her Watermelon! No context needed!

Kokonoe: The amount of time Yang took to land also seemed like more than enough time to reach terminal velocity.

Junko: Oh yeah, Yang is fast too. She can run up walls, dodge missiles, and even keep up with Emerald and Mercury, who can dodge lightning.

Ann: But what's most impressive is her skill in combat.

Ann: Having been trained by both her uncle, Qrow, and her father, Taiyang, Yang is incredibly skilled at hand-to-hand combat. 

Junko: Let's see... she's fought multiple guys and stood her own against guys like Mercury, Emerald, Ren, and even helped Team RWBY take on the Ace Ops! She's also taken on Adam, the same guy who cut her arm off beforehand. She's also taken out a bunch of goons from her mommy's tribe with ease. 

Kokonoe: Speaking of her arm, she got it replaced with a new mechanical arm.

Kokonoe: This arm possesses greater striking power than her regular arm but is just as flexible. It's hard enough to block projectiles and attacks from Adam himself too. 

Junko: It can also fire projectiles just like her Gauntlet, Ember Celica!

Ann: That's right! Both the Gauntlet and robot arm can hold up to 12 rounds, meaning she gets up to 24 rounds in total! Her ammo includes orange, non-elemental rounds that can be fired rapidly while punching, and red explosive rounds. 

Kokonoe: She can also fire Ice Dust from it to freeze targets and she even has sticky bombs she can put on her target by... well... punching them.

Junko: But her best weapon is her Aura.

Junko: The manifestation of one's soul. All living creatures have it except Grimm or creatures that have no soul. Anyway, it can be used for defense, protecting her from harm as well as the cold. It can even heal minor wounds.

Kokonoe: But most importantly, they allow her to tap into her semblance... Burn.

Kokonoe: This semblance allows Yang to absorb hits from her opponents and redirect them twice as hard with her punches. 

Junko: Not only that, but it lets her get super fuckin angry! To the point where her hair sets on fire and her eyes are bright red! Her heat is strong enough to turn Weiss' ice into steam! Perfect for I dunno... roasting marshmallows?

Ann: Junko, I told you... I'm not using my Persona to make you smores. Especially not after you locked me in a closet last chapter...

Junko: Aw man... well, sucks for you.

Kokonoe: Yang can do a lot with her fist alone, but she does have weaknesses.

Kokonoe: Yang's aura can only take so much damage before depleting. Once it does, she will not be able to use her Semblance.

Junko: Not just that, but Yang needs to be conscious and angry in order to use her Semblance. A passed-out Yang is pretty much left vulnerable... and when she's angry she can be a bit reckless. This lets her struggle against opponents that can evade or outlast the duration of her semblance. If her opponent can do such a thing, Yang is left tired and vulnerable to counterattacks.  Luckily she learned how to control her anger and only use her semblance as a last resort.

Ann: Unless you were dumb enough to touch her hair... in which case you better watch out because a raging sun is coming at you!

Yang: I'm a thrill-seeker. I want to travel around the world and get wrapped up in as many crazy adventures as I can. And if I help people along the way, then that's even better. It's a win-win, y'know?
